That's why most of the players ignore PvP modes and go JPEG collection for their favorites. It's hard to grasp what worth your orbs because the next unit in two weeks will powercreep since from skills or basically with their PRF.
You are absolutely right. It’s been a big discussion for years. Most of the problems we talk about with FEH are just symptoms. It’s incredibly hard to balance a game when you’re releasing this many units per year.
Probably a hot take but i like the original Heidrun more. The NY version doesnt have fatal smoke support unlike the original one and with only 30 def + no fatal smoke, the enemy will get a lot of Breath of life healing against the aoe. Base heidrun is better frontliner because she is a melee unit.
I think the issue isn't E!Ike but, the game's message as a whole. The game advertises that you can go into battle along side your favorite units and have fun. "BoL4 E!Ike" was Intsys ultimatum of telling you that "You can no longer use your favorite units and have fun fighting." Most people now have to ask before they even start to build a unit: "Can this beat E!Ike?" In about 80-90% of cases, the answer is no(even with full investment). It's no longer like Reinhardt where you just needed to use one character to counter the meta threat and then everyone else can be "fun" characters. It's now more like, if your team consists of characters before E!Ike, You lose. If your team consists of characters after E!Ike, you win(or still lose because you don't understand all of the mechanics). And, since these characters after E!Ike also appear in story mode and other PvE content, you still have to ask the question even outside of PvP(e.g. Baldr just saying "No" to any unit that isn't blue and stacked with effects).

There is a reason PM1 in the Power Creep video, giving advice to new players said: "I would definitely tell them to start after they fall asleep and before they wake up." It was said as a joke but, I'm sure he probably meant it. I have built up 5 gen 1 units and it was all in vain because, even though I could get them the same skills as the new units, their PRF and arcane weapons can't compete with the new units' PRFs. You know the mechanics and know how to plan around building a unit. Most people that play FEH don't(including veterans of the game).
@@FEH i honestly think and I've been saying this for years - they need to create a PVE mode (like another revamped blessed gardens) where you can get [insert whatever here] - and you can ONLY use book 1-3 units. (maybe 4 or whatever too that gap is getting there). and i think if the rewards were great enough - it would justify doing it. (I am slowly building up a White wings team just because i can because even though the game is mean right now. I still want to build units i like and I will find ways to use them). :)
I used to keep up with this powercreep and new tools, but now, I just can't either. Every banner is either adding a new skill, adding an old, busted skill with a modern one, doubling up on new ones, etc. So glad Fehtubers can help ease it a bit!

Ok but I feel really bad for poor Ratatoskr they did her so dirty she's the main character of book 8, and got sidelined in a backpack compared to the other main characters who received a new year playable alt it made no sense why she didn't get one or be the lead. She deserved better treatment than a backpack the past main characters have always been a unit, with Seidr and Peony being the lead to a duo. and Eir, Reggin, Fjorm, and Ash being standalon units. Ratatoskr deserves justice the way they treated her like that is really dirty. :( I really hope she can get a alt I'm going to throw her couple votes as I really would love for her to get a alt and she's my favorite book free oc too. Hopefully she could get a spring alt that would be really cute and it would suit her being a lil ceitter with all the bunnies and her being a fluff and surrounded by more fluff with a cute spring outfit it would be adorable also hope for a future duo of her with Hraesvelgr as their relationship is really cute and share a strong bond together look at the musical tree video so they really deserve a duo with a wholesome convo between them and explore their sisterly bond together further we we're robbed from that here. :') Also I'm really excited about Hraesvelgr she looks absolutely amazing her kimono is so cute and while I was expecting her to be the duo with Ratatoskr I absolutely love the cute touch they added with the Ratatoskr daruma she's holding it's so precious and shows how much Hraesvelgr cares for Ratatoskr aww!! 🥰💖 And I'm really thrilled Tana is the 4 star focus she looks absolutely insane for one I'm definitely gonna try my best to get lot of copies for her as I love Tana.
Action economy units are a good investment, so I would actually put NY Heidrun on the must pull category. They last quite a long time in comparison to ones that dont have action economy. Young FRobin aged pretty well and her button is still one of the most reliable for breaking through saves.
As much as this banner scares me, the president of Tana of exites me. Perhaps Innes might also have some higher tier skills as well; maybe Deadeye or Curved Shot?
I just bought a month of FEH Pass mostly for the new Claude resplendent... but I guess the timing ended up working really well for the spark availability for both the newest Emblem banner and this one 🤣
It’s been about 3-4 years since I last played this game. I’d log in here and there to collect free summons but I haven’t played any of the game modes. I had just quit right before they had 1000 heroes 😅 I’m glad this channel and game is still around.
Could you make a video on which kits/units commonly counter the toughest meta tanks after the power creep of 2024? I honestly feel a bit overwhelmed with how strong units like Nidhoggr are, I can’t take them down…
What is Heiđrun idk what animal but I liked her when she came and paired with my Ratatoskr a squirrel i will definitely go after her even though there's still winter Dimitri and Brave Felix that I definitely wanna go after but luckily the gift tickets gave me 1 Dimitri at least so I was able to make him +5 but having 1 more Ratatoskr to play with and another 1 more Heiđrun is as equally important for being as strong as it need to have a fun wining better
I used to be a spender in this game, but ultimately I quit FEH entirely due to the disgusting and rampant powercreep. I tried getting back into the game late this year and to my horror realized that you need to pull for these Emblem heroes’s rings for many characters to be meta usable, with these Emblem heroes not even readily available on banners to pull. Just feels awful.
To be honest, after Halloween Askr, I realized that blessable mythics just aren't half exciting as their original forms, because the competition is so much stronger. Nectar and the rally dance are strong and all, but is it worth spending a very premium unit slot on something with so little kill power? Nah. Wake me up when Freyr is blessable. Higher Ground looks filthy, but it's the wrong kind of role compression. The first unit to die is not the one you want preventing warping. Might still work in the short term, as ranged nukes are still playing catch-up to the melee ones. Whole banner feels like bait to me although the snake is very nice for hexblade support. I'll try to free summon Tana and leave it at that.
Geez, for the first time getting a 4 star demote unit seems very good, although her skill set looks sick for using 2,000 feathers, basically on a 4 star unit. Also, as a fanbase of Sacred Stones, she looks deadly. I'm not going to even lie.

If I had the two skills, and was willing to fodder either hero off for it, I would lean towards Beastly Assault. I only see Momentum working on a AoE set, which would include the marth ring and pulse support. Maybe Momentum works with Galeforce, but with Beastly, you could probably run Galeforce without losing much in firepower.
@ hm ok. My current situation is that I pulled for the Lyn banner and got a normal Eiki. Cause I already had one I foddered this one to Eyra so she can give his Special, A and C skill to Winter Eiki. Now I‘m just looking for a good B skill for him which means right now I have: Fierce Beast as Special, AtkDef Excel as A Skill and Beast Threaten as C Skill ready to be inherited to Winter Eiki which means I’m only looking for a B Skill to complete the set. Before this Banner I planned to go for Momentum 4 to try and summon a Sigurd, but now Her new B Skill comes. So with all that what do you think makes more sense?
@@blackglurakx2409 Okay, so with Sturdy, Excel and Beast Threaten, I can see where the dilemma is now. Since it's at 3 CD for him, Mometum wont have it proc right away, unless you either Marth Ring, or pulse support. And even then, Scowl might stop it anyways. Meanwhile, with Beastly, you can have the extra damage without proccing the special at the cost of some flat dr, but also canto, so you wouldn't need the Sigurd Ring. There's probably something else I'm not thinking of, but right now, I still lean on Beastly Assault.
@ I really don’t know, since I rather build up as a support. In my case, keeping Solid Ground to upgrade into tier 4 or getting Stronghold or Fortifications. Then I’d use Snag 4 or Ruse 4 for further support. Finally Beast Threaten, Barricade, or Breath of Life 4. I could flip between Galeforce and Sturdy Beast as his special, especially if I had the, as fodder. With his Mythic Kit, I think everything works just fine on him, especially as a favorite. And trust me, I just use Grails to give my Yarne’s Beast Sense 3, just because.
Not going to lie I am by far the most terrified of NY!Nidhöggr. Mythic Nid in SD has already traumatized me to the point that I just instantly surrender the second I see Celica's Ring on her and now we have another version with warp-bubble and dr% pierce support. She is going to be everywhere. I am debating on whether I want to pull for Heidrun. Her support is really good but for the most part I need more damage rather than survivability and H!Askr with the 6 different effects he has is probably better (He makes my S!Nifl kill things). Amazing analysis as always! (Also RIP Duo Fjorm/Nifl being in tier 0)
Thanks IS for giving us a bless-able Heiðrún after I’d just got like 4 of her from the Emblem banner with not a single extra Lyn either.😭💀 Considering I’ve already got the mythic’s versions I’m probably gonna skip, can’t really afford it right now at least the art is nice as always. Funny I don’t doubt Hectors power but for me it’s the other way around Snake girl🐍 has done way better for me than hectors has.
I agree that these units aren’t must pulls and honestly just win-more units right now. Orbs are much better saved for another possible emblem unit at the end of next month.
The game in the last 6 months has finally gotten to the point where I simply can’t keep up getting my favorites and having fodder/specific meta units. I really wanted ninja tharja merged a bit but for keeping up with the game it just isn’t a great idea combined with all the far saves, especially since the actual good defense teams always have attuned mic which makes embla’s entire utility worthless. Can’t tank because tree man will cause your dancer to savior b!edelgard and there simply isn’t enough room in the team for anyone I use for the sake of being someone I enjoy.
the only thing i wanted from this banner was ratatoskr having divine vein like her mythic version or better but the duo unit has it on their duo button...
I will say on Hraesvelgr, I think she does have a strong "other thing she does" compared to sigurd and felix. Divine talon has really been aging well, recovery is a very uncommon effect, especially on a competent dps. In a society with lyn and her ring getting to turn 2 is a more viable strategy, and this is the only current counterplay to mid phase debuffs that might make your sniper hit a little less hard that won't consume action economy. This also goes for defense, coupled with Freyr, everything in their range is functionally immune to everything bar time's grip. This is huge to discourage tanking strategies that are reliant on mid phase debuffs or gimmick strategies like Thjazi hit and run which will only get better as they introduce more public anti warping tools. Also the movement is cool and people don't like reading so if there's another strong beast cav that could be something worth looking at. I think there's a conversation to be had about her possibly being above felix but I'm too sober to talk about sigurd because 5 mov is 5 mov.
@@superbuneary8819 I tried to run android instance on bluestacks FEH, and another emulator and nope, impossible, so my reroll on iphone happened so far have most of the important top 10 ten characters mentioned on youtube videos for 2024. OMG the rolls are bad, spent 150 orbs on Robin: Vessals of Saints and got nothing but old five stars, it was almost depressing.
I'm honestly excited for another nidhoggr. I know ppl don't like her cuz of how broken she is in the meta. I just like nidhoggr design and her as a character as a whole.
We got like 3+ far saves per 1 near save over the last 3 months, there's a massive gap in their capabilities either. They really don't know how to balance things. And higher ground isn't that good, any far savior that can only reduce damage once in 2025 will get deleted with quad hitters. This is only okay on Nidhoggr because her weapon has twin save. Assuming it's only for armor, if it's for everyone then that's broken.
tbf, almost every update adds broken heroes/mechanics all of which have a mini essay per weapon and pref skill. The CC's then have to figure all of it out and break it down in a video, then explain what it means for the various gamemodes (since AR and SD operate very differently). Yeah the constant doomposting can get daunting, but I can't blame it when each update is as bad or worse than the previous one.
Hawk Girl has made every other melee flier irrelevant and idk how i feel about it 🤔. But i'll agree that melee fliers needed a huge powerup to compete in the meta.
For my Duo Fjorm it should not be in T1 but in T0, much less behind Harmonic Nagi. Of all the far saviors, she is the only one that has Null C-Disrupt and returns all the reduced damage, neutralizing the foe's damage reductions. She may not have any support but as a far savior Duo Fjorm works better for me than Harmonic Nagi and Nidhoggr, specially Harmonic Nagi, I don't have Hector so I can't say much.
I think Tier 1 makes sense personally; Fjorm is indeed a very good Far Save tank, but two things hold her back IMO: a) she is inflexible compared to someone like Winter Fomortiis or Nidhoggr, who can be used to both Near Save and Far Save at least reliably, while Fjorm herself is comparatively too fragile to Near Save on top of losing a lot of killing power by giving up Dual Ice Mirrors; and b) role compression is becoming important in the current landscape of the meta, and that side of the composition isn't exactly favoring her, because she tanks very well and not much else, whereas the likes of Hector, Nidhoggr, Nagi and Fomortiis each offer other things _beside_ tanking well - Hector with Bulwark and Divine Vein Stone support against AoEs per turn (compared to Fjorm's Ice Being being only usable once), Nidhoggr with the debuffs, Fomortiis with the end turn status, and even Nagi has the ability to tank AoEs (an important matter for the Save flexibility point earlier, considering the arrival of units like Nidavellir and especially Emblem Sigurd).

I guess they wanted to change it up. You can still make her a tanky miracle spammer with LF and Marth ring since she has -1 CD jump in her skill.
I assumed there was no 4star since Tana looked so cracked.
Hope her and Marnie are an indication that 4-stars will be at least this good in 2025.

In my case, keeping Solid Ground to upgrade into tier 4 or getting Stronghold or Fortifications.
Then I’d use Snag 4 or Ruse 4 for further support.
Finally Beast Threaten, Barricade, or Breath of Life 4.
I could flip between Galeforce and Sturdy Beast as his special, especially if I had the, as fodder.
With his Mythic Kit, I think everything works just fine on him, especially as a favorite.
And trust me, I just use Grails to give my Yarne’s Beast Sense 3, just because.
Not going to lie I am by far the most terrified of NY!Nidhöggr. Mythic Nid in SD has already traumatized me to the point that I just instantly surrender the second I see Celica's Ring on her and now we have another version with warp-bubble and dr% pierce support. She is going to be everywhere.
I am debating on whether I want to pull for Heidrun. Her support is really good but for the most part I need more damage rather than survivability and H!Askr with the 6 different effects he has is probably better (He makes my S!Nifl kill things).

I agree that these units aren’t must pulls and honestly just win-more units right now. Orbs are much better saved for another possible emblem unit at the end of next month.
The game in the last 6 months has finally gotten to the point where I simply can’t keep up getting my favorites and having fodder/specific meta units.
I really wanted ninja tharja merged a bit but for keeping up with the game it just isn’t a great idea combined with all the far saves, especially since the actual good defense teams always have attuned mic which makes embla’s entire utility worthless.
Can’t tank because tree man will cause your dancer to savior b!edelgard and there simply isn’t enough room in the team for anyone I use for the sake of being someone I enjoy.

I really hope they give her a alt in spring as it suits her very well she deserves justice.
I will say on Hraesvelgr, I think she does have a strong "other thing she does" compared to sigurd and felix. Divine talon has really been aging well, recovery is a very uncommon effect, especially on a competent dps. In a society with lyn and her ring getting to turn 2 is a more viable strategy, and this is the only current counterplay to mid phase debuffs that might make your sniper hit a little less hard that won't consume action economy.
This also goes for defense, coupled with Freyr, everything in their range is functionally immune to everything bar time's grip. This is huge to discourage tanking strategies that are reliant on mid phase debuffs or gimmick strategies like Thjazi hit and run which will only get better as they introduce more public anti warping tools.
Also the movement is cool and people don't like reading so if there's another strong beast cav that could be something worth looking at.

Above Felix? Not at all. "5 mov is 5 mov" would apply to Felix too. He has 6 mov before his first attack.
No there are things that raw 5 mov enable that "6 mov" in cursive don't. Not to mention compared to those 2 his dps is dramatically lower.

@@superbuneary8819 I tried to run android instance on bluestacks FEH, and another emulator and nope, impossible, so my reroll on iphone happened so far have most of the important top 10 ten characters mentioned on youtube videos for 2024. OMG the rolls are bad, spent 150 orbs on Robin: Vessals of Saints and got nothing but old five stars, it was almost depressing.

We got like 3+ far saves per 1 near save over the last 3 months, there's a massive gap in their capabilities either. They really don't know how to balance things.
And higher ground isn't that good, any far savior that can only reduce damage once in 2025 will get deleted with quad hitters. This is only okay on Nidhoggr because her weapon has twin save.
Assuming it's only for armor, if it's for everyone then that's broken.

FEH content creators act like every update is the end of the world now. It’s like trying to get news from the quartering.
It's almost like that's how TH-cam works now even if people don't like it, shocking I know
tbf, almost every update adds broken heroes/mechanics all of which have a mini essay per weapon and pref skill. The CC's then have to figure all of it out and break it down in a video, then explain what it means for the various gamemodes (since AR and SD operate very differently).
Yeah the constant doomposting can get daunting, but I can't blame it when each update is as bad or worse than the previous one.

It’s the nature of power spikes. I’m wondering if they’re going to try to “fix” it with the new set of rearmed weapons and attuned skills.
For my Duo Fjorm it should not be in T1 but in T0, much less behind Harmonic Nagi. Of all the far saviors, she is the only one that has Null C-Disrupt and returns all the reduced damage, neutralizing the foe's damage reductions. She may not have any support but as a far savior Duo Fjorm works better for me than Harmonic Nagi and Nidhoggr, specially Harmonic Nagi, I don't have Hector so I can't say much.
I think Tier 1 makes sense personally; Fjorm is indeed a very good Far Save tank, but two things hold her back IMO: a) she is inflexible compared to someone like Winter Fomortiis or Nidhoggr, who can be used to both Near Save and Far Save at least reliably, while Fjorm herself is comparatively too fragile to Near Save on top of losing a lot of killing power by giving up Dual Ice Mirrors; and b) role compression is becoming important in the current landscape of the meta, and that side of the composition isn't exactly favoring her, because she tanks very well and not much else, whereas the likes of Hector, Nidhoggr, Nagi and Fomortiis each offer other things _beside_ tanking well - Hector with Bulwark and Divine Vein Stone support against AoEs per turn (compared to Fjorm's Ice Being being only usable once), Nidhoggr with the debuffs, Fomortiis with the end turn status, and even Nagi has the ability to tank AoEs (an important matter for the Save flexibility point earlier, considering the arrival of units like Nidavellir and especially Emblem Sigurd).
