Hello Patrick. With the car having sat there might be accumulation of debris in the tank. Either that may have clogged a filter (fuel starvation) or the debris got between the needle and seat and one of the carburetors (maybe both) is causing flooding. The black smoke mention leads me to think flooding. Turning on the fuel pump and watching in the carburetors should give an indication of flooding. For starvation there is a filter on the fuel sender in the tank, one near the inner wheel well on the drivers side and the brass stone filters on each of the carburetor inlets. You may (and should) have an additional filter on your electric fuel pump.
Overall you have made significant progress. These are OLD cars. Owning one is like having a mother in law live with you. It takes low expectations and diligent effort to stay in good graces. This is a step sideways, not backwards. All the best. BTW, I liked your carb test device in the other video! Glad the .001 gauge method worked. It isn't my idea. I got it from the guys on one of the two Corvair forums. All the best.

i think when you turned you lost fuel in one or both carbs. you can find the fix for that in the corvair forum or page 19 of performance Corvairs under improving stock carb
