When this song came out I was struggling with my mental health due to anxiety. I would leave my desk at work and walk around the block while listening to this song. I'd have tears streaming down my face the entire time. I knew the message this song was telling me was "your fears are all in your head. You can overcome them". However, I couldn't even with this incredibly amazing song. Shortly after I finally get the meds I needed to crush the anxiety. Here I am 4-5 years later and thriving! Don't let whats in your head hold you back from fulfilling your potential and living your best life. It is ok to seek help!
Beautiful track... and the lyrics no matter what new album it is always seems to coincide with what I'm needing to hear at that point in my life... this band is beyond spiritual to me
Absolutely agree with that! Same with me. The lyrics of each album when they come out always truly coincide with my life at the same time. It's truly spiritual.
Amen I agree. This song got alot of flack once it leaked.. but I personally love it. The ones who criticized are folks who are into bands like ICP and shit.. so I don't listen to others opinions or "reviews".. music Is subjective. People receive it differently. I will never listen to another "review" again on an album prior to hearing. Learned that already.. cuz like I said.. this song is phenomenal and the review kind if tainted me going into the song
#Spoken 🙏🏼 I feel ya feel ya FEEL YA feel ya on the synchronicities of hearing newly released 311 "coincidentally" being EXACTLY what I NEED to hear to keep it going East.

About 20 years ago, while volunteering at my daughters' school, I would play "All Mixed Up" in my oldest's 5th grade glass. They knew the lyrics, would sing along, and dance their little asses off. I used the song to encourage strong self-esteem, and instill a sense of empowerment. Here in 2020, this lyrically precious song would do the same job.
There are four songs in my life where I will always remember the place and moment that I heard them for the first time. Two of them are by 311: "Down" and now "Dodging Raindrops." Man I love this band.
Over and over again. The nights wasted praying for death. I hope they can all have a good laugh about it because if justice still counts for anything they shall suffer for eternity
I like to digest the music before I critique it, this one is the first one from this album that i absolutely cannot stop listening to, except for the early releases of course. This one has so much heart in it, it's amazing what you guys can do to bring that down home heart felt feeling. Tears
Saw you guys in Indy and it was so much fun. It was so cool the crowd had a great time with you and your supporting bands were great warm up. Dirty Heads closed, but you were really the best band always! Thanks 311 as both my sons took me to see you guys!! 29 Years Young band 311 they grew up with you guys. Your 13th LP is Awesome too!!
A very Bob Rock-produced type of song. Love it! Sounds like it could have been on Uplifter that was released just TEN years before this album. This should be the next single and I am not kidding.
Man, I’m not sure if Nick or SA wrote that whoever it was I’m willing to bet they are an introverted, intuitive, feeler, perceiver. (INFP). Awesome song and lyrics.

"Happens all the time
Get in line
And go comatose."
*The odds*
Absolutely love this band and the message every single time.
Great harmonizing in the background. Have loved 311 since the 90's. I am now 36. Thank you for decades of good music. 💯🙌❤️
This song just melodically and harmonically sounds beautiful. Even though 311 likes to be underground, I was thinking "This should be on the radio"
Lyric wise this is my new favorite song👊
This song is incredibly catchy! Been listening all day. Needs to be the next single
Why do I stay inside
I should be living life
Instead of watching through the window
No use in playing safe
Not gonna hesitate
I know the storm is only mental
I'm letting go
Giving up the control
Yeah I'm ready to
Go wherever the wind blows
I wanna see
Where the road's gonna lead
Time is ticking and
The world is not waiting on me
I've been dodging raindrops for far too long
These clouds over my head they won't move on
I've been dodging raindrops
Trying not to get wet
I've been dodging raindrops for far too long
Dodging raindrops
But they're all in my head, all in my head
But they're all in my head, all in my head
Sooner or later it comes
As quick as it comes it'll go
Whatever is blocking the sun
It's only for a moment
Running away from my past
It's pushing me out of my zone
Pulling me under the gun
Into the unknown
I'm letting go
Giving up the control
Yeah I'm ready to
Go wherever the wind blows
I wanna see
Where the road's gonna lead
Time is ticking and
The world is not waiting on me
I've been dodging raindrops for far too long
These clouds over my head they won't move on
I've been dodging raindrops
Trying not to get wet
I've been dodging raindrops for far too long
Dodging raindrops
But they're all in my head, but they're all in my head
But they're all in my head, but they're all in my head
(I've been dodging raindrops)
But they're all in my head, but they're all in my head
(I've been dodging raindrops)
But they're all in my head, but they're all in my head
Ready to go outside
And to be livin' life
Instead of watching out the window
I've been dodging raindrops for far too long
These clouds over my head they won't move on
I've been dodging raindrops
Trying not to get wet
I've been dodging raindrops for far too long
Dodging raindrops
But they're all in my head, but they're all in my head
But they're all in my head, but they're all in my head
(I've been dodging raindrops)
But they're all in my head, but they're all in my head
(I've been dodging raindrops)
But they're all in my head, but they're all in my head

How is this song not on the radio??? This is a summer jam all day! So is this album!!!!!!! 311 forever
yup
311 is so far beyond radio. Radio doesn't deserve this.
@@merickful I agree. I can't stand radio these days! But if they played jams like this it would be more respected
It is on the radio. Has been for awhile
@@Gillysaurxx I think they mean to say why didnt it chart top 40 pop charts instead of alternative rock? I mean thats what im wondering.
Amazing song. This album is a masterpiece
Yes it is and no it isn't

My first 311 show was also in 1997.
Yup. 311 never fails. Great track!
Everyone I have played this song for loves it.
Dude what. This song is incredible
This album is the first good one since Soundsystem. I think they found their (grass)roots again. They found me again too.

This was obviously their foremost radio push track on the album. I love it. What’s wrong with a little pop attempt? I hope it gets some airtime.

They made this song with Marshmellow and Khalid? In the song credit on spotify their names pop up🤔
Dude. I listened to this in my car and was like. This sounds like a marshmello type track. And then I read this message. And checked. Wow. Lol
No they had to credit Marshmello as damage control after the Noisestorm fiasco happened.
I'm not sure if anyone notice this but why this song's drop is similiar to Marshmello - Silence?
Is this another plagiarism I smelled?
Marshmallow and Khalid helped write Dodging Raindrops.. Go look at the writing notes.
Hopefully this the last album with Feldman!
springer 90 why they need “help” I’ll never understand
springer 90 Scotch knows their sound better than anyone .. Since Stereolithic said he needs to produce every album going forward
springer 90 Feldmann actually had some good songs on this album
Born to Live was cool tho
