I bought the palmer products windscreen kit for my XB12XT and your video helped me with the installation greatly. I bought the GPS bar as well. I set it up with the standard Garmin handlebar attachment but it sits too far forward, so I ordered a pancake style mount from motopumps. Thanks for the video.

I have an 08 Ulysses. Bought it last year with 13k miles on it. It now has over 28k. Ride it at least 4 days a week. This is one of my favorite bikes. Especially after I learned how to program the Ecm using ecmdroid. This allowed me to enrich the fuel mixture so it will run cooler and to electronically turn off the interactive muffler. I used a similar windshield system sold my madstad. Nelson rigg soft luggage works great in place of hard bags as well. These are great motorcycles for the price.

I just downloaded ECMspy to start tweaking!

@@barefootgaragejax9252 there is a website for a company called revision moto that has a lot of good links and wireless “buelltooth”device for tuning. I left all the fuel maps as original but restricted the ECM ability to lean out the fuel ratio no more than 85% from stock. Most of the time the check engine light is on because it wants to lean it out the mixture. I don’t totally trust the narrow band o2 sensor. She runs great. Any questions let me know.

Long time Buell owner, have tube frame and Xb models. They have been good bikes and ride mine regularly. Take care of it.

I have a 2007 Buell Ulysses XB12 X Stock other than Touring Windscreen, never a problem, never, Never, rides like a beast, love it. only issue is that you have to spray the muffler at the bottom it gets rusty, love riding in the winter months the heat off the bike keeps me super warm

I have an 06 uly that I daily. I’ve been riding it for 3 months and just threw a set of rental street low bars on and I’m much happier than the stock bars. More nimble and more responsive: I love the torque and it’ll do the speedo. I definitely took off the dinky blinkers and went for slimmer 1 line sequential blinkers

My favorite ride by far. Added Avon Trailrider tires, doubletake mirrors, replaced levers from Amazon imports, voltmeter with usb charging port, and added a ram mount off the m
    Mirror for my gps.

I have a 2006 XB12X which has been off the road a few years but will soon be back on it. For luggage, I slot an old Ventura 62-litre Bike-Pack over the Triple Tail. You can buy them separately from the bike-specific frame and loop they come with. I like the handgrips on your bike. The bike looks better without the screen. But you've certainly been ingenious witht the GPS fitment. I don't use a GPS. Nick

I don’t look at the GPS much, but it’s there should I need it and has “breadcrumbs” I can backtrack on if needed

Just picked up an 09 Uly myself. Waiting on brackets from Palmer. Will put tkc 70 rocks rear, tkc 70 front. Planning on exploring dirt backroads throughout the southeast. I’m based in northwest Florida.

I have a 2007. Had a few bikes and I really love the Buell. Looking at replacing Blinkers to something more long term and durable.

Turning radius was insufferable on my 2006.
In 2008 they changed the triple clamps. The new clamps will switch out with no problem. Turning radius improves dramatically, to the positive.
Ideally it would be nice to find the newer forks too because they moved the axle to a trailing position. However the 2006 forks will bolt in just fine.

Not sure on your model year, but the Uly has a power outlet right next to the gauges and one under the seat. The outlets are round with a rubber cover and fit a car lighter (not meant for that amperage) or rather, a USB charger.

I own a ulysses , liked your upgrades.
Did you ever do another video covering luggage you ended up going with ?.
That windshield riser was interesting ,
Was that lower site buffer ever needed ?.
I’ve got to learn who tunes in my area .
    Thanks

Hey Joe, thanks for watching! I’m still figuring out the position I want, but so far, the lower “fill in” piece is not required. If you plan to run a GPS, you will want the braces to the crossbar they offer. It vibrates something fierce with my Garmin up high.
I have a set of hard bags for the bike, but the racks to match are out of production. I’m hesitant to pay full retail for a
Metal mule set, only to have to chop them
Up. I’m hoping ti find some used or may end up building them from scratch.

You should tell us how many miles your bike has on it, when you got it. Also, a list of items you added, you mentioned the hand grips, but not sure what brand or part number you are recommending.

I think mileage is around 20k, but the battery was flat so I couldn’t check.

Your bulb burning out could be indicator of a bad voltage regulator and would recommend checking that

Not as bad as I thought. Under 2 weeks, but I’m sure it all depends on how fast it clears customs
