I love the birds and the layering of trims. Brilliant finish. To help stabilize the pillow while stitching on the trims, prop it up between two large books laid flat on the table.
I have to laugh, it is because of heart palpitations and stress that I learned how to cross stitch! In home economics in high school I was allergic to the sewing machine, and my instructor gave up and taught me to cross stitch and needlepoint. I was hooked! That was 45 years ago and I have to say I still get the same feeling anytime I have to use my machine. The patterns are adorable, I have to get them!
Thanks for your perseverance with the awkwardness! Super helpful tutorial - and thank you most of all for your amazing creativity and designs that are SO fun to stitch!
You know, they make a turning tool to poke out those corners. It’s plastic, easy to use, and I expensive. Thanks for a great tutorial! Can’t wait to make the new guy!
I love this tutorial and I love how perfectly imperfect it is... I swear this is a compliment not a back handed remark! Seriously while I love perfect tutorials too the ones with the "hacks" and imperfections that show the end result being just as AMAZING makes me feel like I too can at least TRY to finish something. It's inspiring!! Love the brothers and your zany ways!
PS...usually I get a little *eyeroll* at the sight of a Flisstuber's perfect "back" but MAN is yours GOOD, and completely organic situation where we'd get a glimpse of it (tutorial necessity vs. Little Miss Showoff situation.) Bravvvvo!! 👏
Thanks for the video. Not sure I can handle a pillow finish since I don't sew, but my Mom might be able to do it for me. As soon as I finished watching I did have to go shopping on your site. Take care.
The birds are so cute. I wasn't able to listen to much of your video once you put music in the background, as I'm sound sensitive. Can't process you talking and the music coming in and out, but looks like it'd be a really helpful video. Take care, and happy stitching.

@@thatwifeofhis7815 I don't care about my backs, as long as there's not strands showing through the front.

Great tutorial. Thank you!
Thank you so much for doing these finishing tutorials!
Thank you!❤
Thank you for sharing!
loved this tutorial...thank you
Use a closed pair of scissors next time you poke out the corners. There's less chance of poking holes into the work.
Love it.
you need to put a little bit of polyfill in an opening before you sew it shut; that will prevent the walnut shells coming out
A larger size knitting needle with a rounded tip seems safer to me than a pointy meat skewer!
My meat skewer and I go way back
@@lindystitches I didn't mean to criticize - speaking from my experience, pointy objects and my corners do not get along :)
@@susanalbaugh8803 haha I know I'm just making a joke 😘
Brothers don’t shake hands: brothers gotta hug
Can you use a mix of fill? Not all walnut maybe a bit of poly fill too
Absolutely!
