I particularly like the Throne room diorama, the build, the look, the geometry, the symmetry, I personally think its the best looking of them although I like them all very much.
Most of us love collecting but don’t have the room or cash for the iconic monster UCS sets. I love this approach by Lego, I will be collecting them all.
The smaller sets are not more affordable. In fact they instead increase the impression of being "scammed" by lego in terms of price relative to what's received. Anyway, as soon as i saw the tantive, i caved and bought the super star destroyer. Not having both ships in larger form and also running out space and liking star wars less every year pulled the trigger. Sadly.. im so impressed by the super star destroyer in the hand, this series has nailed it, and they have me.
I disagree that there weren't more helmets that needed to be made. Off the top of my head, Imperial Guard, Snow Trooper, AT-AT pilot, Shore Trooper, Death Trooper, generic no-name clones, several rebel pilot helmets. They could have stretched it a few more years. I have to wonder if they abandoned the helmets because sales were dropping off. But I completely agree on the argument on the price points. But truth be told, even the $80 price-point for the midi-scale and dioramas is pushing things in my mind. The only reason I can justify them is that I'm buying far fewer Lego sets in general.
I don't care about no minifigures with the midi-ships, I care more about the ship choices. While the Millennium Falcon is iconic, it is also overused. How many Falcon's can Lego make? Also, the Tantive IV has also been a Lego set recently. Since there are three ships, why not one per trilogy? The Invisible Hand for the prequels is fine, even though it is only seen for a short time. For the original trilogy, they could have gone with something that hasn't been done, like Home One. For the sequel trilogy they could have gone with The Raddus, The Finalizer or The Supremacy.
My plan is to pick up all of the sets announced for the Mar 1 release; despite the total being about $300; I feel more justified buying more sets for that amount than buying one large one for the same price. I only just got back in to LEGO a couple of years ago after about a 30 yr absence. But I like to display the figures or the themed set with like themes. Example: I built the Boba Fett helmet and I placed it next to the more recent Slave 1(Slave 1 Forever!) and the micro fighter version. Also did it with the Scout Trooper helmet (I took one of the Hoth battle pack Scout Troopers and Speeder Bike) and the Dark Trooper Helmet (placed the hallway next to it). I plan to do that with the Mando and Red Five helmets as well. Has there been an indication as to how many special figures we will be getting throughout the year (same number of figures as were in the 20th)? I know it looks like Saw Guerra has been teased to be with the Sith Infiltrator.
@@brick_fanaticsAnytime mate, you have made so many of our days that bit nicer with your fun content. Even my wife who is Swedish agrees that you are just awesome :). Your sense of humour is absolutely brilliant mate, it’s what makes your content so fun to watch.
at first i was mostly excited for the midi-scale ships…minus the falcon, cos i have the original one from about 14 years ago. bat as we get nearer the release date, i’m actually pretty stoked for all of these sets…especially the r2, but that’s mostly ‘cos i’m hoping that the rumors of a buildable 3po later this year are true…
Throw a fig in with the midi-scale (starship collection) and I'd buy them. Gonna pass though considering they have no purpose outside of display and take up considerably more shelf real estate than the helmets did.
I actually do have a table predominantly dominated by a single build but its a hollow mountain made out of basic 2x4 peices substituting other lengths when convenient with 2x3s in the corners. Layers alternating between bricks and plates to make it more shallow at the base and summit. With well over a hundred minifigures placed on several dozen larger plates of various sizes arranged around it. And its in my bedroom with several dozen repurposed containers filled with logos underneath it.
Really love the new smaller sets! As much as I get excited by the UCS series, the price and size is just too much. I'd love to pick up the Falcon and Tantive IV.
I'm always amazed the crossover of Star Wars and Lego fans is so huge. Star Wars fans are spoilt for all the sets they get, but boy do they waste money on huge and weird display sets.
I’ve ordered the Tantive IV boarding only. Oh and the McLaren Senna thingy…I’ve already got a MF midi (7778) and a Star Destroyer. I don’t have an R2 though….at least not in Lego. And Darth Malak sounds investable.
Not really. Lego have done midi scale before, it’s not a new thing. It’s just the marketing surrounding the later midi scale sets is clearly more focused on AFOLs and adults than on kids like the older midi scale sets were. 🤔🤷 02:38 fairly expensive? He says showing an image of the £735 UCS ATAT that costs more that costs almost as much as my rent! 😂
Never cared about the suggested age on sets as a kid on the 90s and he I am 30 years later enjoying no stickers on a 5+ burger truck No stickers either on and MF either, finally at a size which doesn't imply very little details (such as the micro fighters) nor plenty of gaps (because of play features) or that absurdly huge (yet with lots of gaps) UCS set; I'm totally getting that piece of junk to display on a regular sized bookshelf! Those little scenes like Bespin duel or the trash compactor are great but... yeah I'm good with just Bespin duel (had to source all the parts for it though as, of course, it had to be a promotional set 😅)
This was an interesting thought piece, and not one I’ve heard from my other usual diet of Lego TH-camrs.
Great video. Really enjoy watching your takes, even if I'm a bit disturbed by how accurately you itemised the contents of my basement...
This is the kind of hard-hitting journalism I subscribed to this channel for! 😊 LEGO has really hit the sweet spot in this upcoming wave of sets.
I will buy Millenium Falcon 99 % sure. AND I am not even collecting SW.
You said the same thing about the 75357 Ghost & Phantom II
ok. well I have that too and the Mos eyesley Cantina. So that is my SW collection.@@lucahermann3040
Already pre ordered my R2D2

The sets are nice…BUT NO MINIFIGURES… the lego mystique of the mini figure is not there..
They don’t need minifigs
Helmet series have NO minifigures and are some of the best for resale.

I really like the new sets. I already have the Executor. It is amazing looking! I look forward to what else Lego will come out with in the future.

I absolutely love your content mate. You are my favourite lego "tuber". Keep up the amazing work you do.
At the end of a long week, this comment means more to me than you know ❤️

Its about time Lego realizes that most of their adult fanbase are not actually rich TH-camrs.

The Millennium Falcon and Tantive IV are must haves for me and I mostly only buy Lego Icons
My 8 year old is all about the Star Wars 18+. He's been collecting the helmets and wants the new Millenium Falcon.
... So will chains, whips and skeletons be the new Lego sets for 2025 then pal? Great video keep up the good work!
5:55 Wait, our parents have to *pay* Santa for the LEGO® sets we get for Christmas?
Duh...LEGO doesn't let Santa infringe on their trademark! But it seems Santa has been making similar bricks for quite some time...
selling my UCS falcon and AT-AT. I haven’t even built as I don’t have space for them. These MIDI sets help me make that decision
Oh, the things in peoples basements...
Definitely going to get the new Midi scale ships, and although the Falcon looks great I wished they would have stuck to larger classes of ships.
Really love the new smaller sets! As much as I get excited by the UCS series, the price and size is just too much. I'd love to pick up the Falcon and Tantive IV.
I never look at the age, just the content. 😊
The R2-D2 is smaller because there's gonna be a C-3PO at the same scale later this year.
I love the UCS, but i dont have the space to display them. This is a great alternative; will get them all.
Love how you call out the absurdity marketing of Lego. 😂.
Any Lego Star Wars set without a minifigure is not worth a buy at all. 😏
I'm always amazed the crossover of Star Wars and Lego fans is so huge. Star Wars fans are spoilt for all the sets they get, but boy do they waste money on huge and weird display sets.
How did you know about the skeletons?
I’ve ordered the Tantive IV boarding only. Oh and the McLaren Senna thingy…I’ve already got a MF midi (7778) and a Star Destroyer. I don’t have an R2 though….at least not in Lego. And Darth Malak sounds investable.
Lego started doing midi scale YEARS ago
I’ll try rhst

They definitely had enough helmets to use for another wave. After all we got absolutely no Sequel trilogy sets in that subtheme.
Good they shouldn’t make a sequel set again
Your good. Keep making videos..
Bloody hell take a breath mate
👍👍
James 😁

How many more anniversaries can LEGO milk? It’s becoming so pathetic. I’m dreading 2027….
i mean personally I think it’s cool cuz we get cool things, like the exclusive figures
Lol, this guy assuming we can afford a house.
