I don’t think anyone will be able to channel the essence of the song like Samantha Pauly does. The song is about a girl who was groomed, r-worded, and abused for YEARS and she channels those emotions PERFECTLY. I think a lot of people forget the song is about a girl who died at 19 after being taken advantage of by men her entire life and not an over-confident woman who got around, but Sam conveys the sadness and heartbreak so well.

I LOVE SAMANTHA PAULY's version, it's the only version that made really bawl my eyes out while the others just made me sad. The way Samantha Pauly portrayed the song with so much emotion and desperation in the end that I feel like I'm watching irl Katherine Howard's life flash before my eyes, plus it was assumed she died at ages around 17-19 which means she never got to even become an adult.
All of these girls are fantastic, but Sam Pauly delivers chills each and every time. Amazing!!
It's always gonna be Samantha Pauly for me because the emotion she conveys without sacrificing the vocal quality is so powerful and she gets very into the character and it's such a powerful and heartbreaking performance from her.

Sam Pauly is absolutely the best K Howard. The way she starts physically shaking and hyperventilating just fits so perfectly with the emotions of the character. If I didn't know any better I would have thought that she actually went through the same things as K Howard.
I was blessed with the chance to see Samatha Pauly’s Howard and oh my gosh. The bootleg doesn’t do her justice. The EMOTION SHE PUTS. She’s so talented oh my gosh. I was in shock.
I truly think Samantha Pauli fully embodies the emotions in this song. I would like to say that Jodi Steele, and Courtney Mack did REALLY amazing as well.
The main difference in the performances we think are stellar vs just good are what the performer is putting focus on. Acting or singing?. The others did great on the vocals, in fact no one did bad on vocals in any way, but sometimes the vocals needs to be set aside to get the soul of the song across to its full extent. Samantha Pauli's performance makes you want to cry because she is basically begging for her innocence and her life.
I fully agree, no one sang it best or worst, but most of them were more focused on singing while Sam was more focused on acting and THAT'S what made me cry when I first heard her version
I love Courtney Stapleton, Jodie, Sam and Alicia's performances. Courtney has a lot of anger in her voice, Jodie sounds so scared and her physical acting is how I imagine Katherine acting at this part of the song, Sam's voice is just filled with desperation and sadness, and Alicia makes the role super youthful.
I like ALL of them, but I think that Samantha Pauly is my favorite. I think she captured K Howard's character very well - the part where she cries at the end is really heartbreaking. I love the emotion she put in it.
In Samantha’s you can literally hear the fear in her voice- and that’s hard to convey while singing. The way she seems to have a mental breakdown on stage is absolutely amazing and I wish I could see it in person because I’ve actually been very very interested in Katheryn Howard irl so seeing Six would be amazing

Aimie's Howard manages the balance between trauma and immaturity in such a unique way that does make her my favorite. But Zara has such a different take on Howard, presents a more healed yet hurt version of her that was so beautiful to experience as well.
I KNOWWWWW THATS WHAT I THINK
Sam is my personal favorite, but Collette and Jodie are super good too. The absolute anger and anguish that they each display gets me every time. Plus, the little details like Sam flinching when the other queens are reaching towards her in the choreography, and Jodie looking around in fear and trying to find a way out while the other queens are slowly approaching from all directions. This song is about a young girl being sexually exploited and assaulted all her life, and these three are who really sell that to me. But everyone is really good, it’s really impressive to be able to sing this song and all of them nailed it in their own way!
Jodie, Sam, and Zara were the best for me. The second EVER and ENOUGH need to sound dang near hysterical. Too many "sing" it instead of shreak it. Sam gives me chills every time. I just wanna hug and comfort her. Zara adding the panic look during "play time's over" was amazing!
Sam Pauly no doubt about it. her full performance from start to finish goes from being a badass queen to realisation that she never got the love she wanted. it's heartbreaking but i do love all the other k howards💜
Sam, Zara, and Sophie are my favorite. Sam captures the pain and suffering while Sophie’s voice seems more childish, signifying how young K Howard was. Zara has so much emotion and I’m here for it.

Right? Her climax is painful BECAUSE of the lack off difference. I love the sheer HURT in most of the actresses, but hers hits hard because she went numb - Annabel's Howard is more numb and defeated as opposed to hurt or mad.

I hadn’t heard Jodie’s version before, but I really love it! The riff is perfect, the emotion is spot on, and she really feels like a young girl going through trauma.
Jodie and Sam, definitely! I will never forget the first time my best friend's mom heard the end of her version. She was so shocked when she heard the breakdown.

Samantha Pauly is by far my favorite Catherine Howard! Her voice is phenomenal, and she sings and acts the hell out of this song. Everytime I hear her do it, I get goosebumps, and by the time she hits that final note, she always has me in tears. No other version of this song has been able to accomplish either of those things.

Sophie Issacs actually looks like a child. This kinda adds to the role in my opinion. Proabs my favorite Howard.

I think I’ve finally realized that none of them completely gel with me because it’s not how I would sing it if I was in her shoes because I’ve been in her shoes. That doesn’t mean any of them are bad or wrong, but I think the emotions tied to that experience is so individual and unique that everyone will play it differently by default, I just have a hard time connecting with them because the emotions don’t match up to the story for me personally
