Okay so um Samantha Pauly is my freaking idol for this song. She puts all the emotion and energy in there and I love it so so much.

It's just a shame that none of the live performances was used in the album. You can debate as much as you like who did it the most justice, but I think it can be agreed that the studio recording takes away a lot of the emotion.

It feels like everyone else was still treating it like a song, but Sam was genuinely going through it if that makes sense. It stopped being about putting on a good show and became a true hysterical cry of anguish

Sam Pauly every time for me. To the point where I think she's ruined it for anyone who comes after! Her acting here is spot on, you can see her confidence draining away and her anger and desperation growing with each chorus, by the end she is physically recoiling from the many hands reaching out to her. That final line is cried not sung and it tears at my heart every time.

Samantha Pauly is by far my favorite Catherine Howard! Her voice is phenomenal, and she sings and acts the hell out of this song. Everytime I hear her do it, I get goosebumps, and by the time she hits that final note, she always has me in tears. No other version of this song has been able to accomplish either of those things.

SAMANTHA Pauley was the best because she owned it. ALOT OF These are trying to imitate her and that's fine but it wasn't enough to convince. I WILL SAY Bryony Duncan was a convincing 2nd.

I had a number of people in my head throughout the vid but by the end I had forgotten most of them. There were some good really exceptional singers, and no this doesn't doesn't include Sam of USA but I'm prettg sure the one right after hed was included. As normal acting, Sam was on point but in my honest opinion, as a musical she let the emotion interfere with the song too much. But I wouldn't blame her, probably her director who asked her to do it that way. But then there was this one girl who did the perfect blend and still let her voice crack without going off beat or ruining the song. I loved them
