    It’s a good practice for my ego to watch this video and not get jealous or feel bad about myself for not being in this scene. Not feeling cheated because I don’t have this lifestyle. Learning to love and enjoy what the universe has given me and not longing for more. It’s taken me a long time to realize this and I become more realistic and free every day.😊

    You can enjoy Monaco without being rich. That is the real kicker. When I was starting out, many, many moons ago, as a teenage mom and then RN, I decided the chances of me being rich and traveling the world were not great, but I could choose to live in one of those fabulous playgrounds by the water full time, and so I did. And it was a playground, not just for the rich, but for me too. Climbing the real estate ladder in such a place really does build wealth over time. If you leave, you take that wealth with you and can live large in an affordable place. If you stay, you can live in beauty and comfort, but maybe not opulence, which is overrated, in my experience.

      I love that for you, it’s definitely a mental block ppl tell themselves “it’s not meant for me, only the rich and celebrities”. We all deserve to enjoy and live life in comfort if work is put in. I decided on the path of RE too, I just am not sure of which strategy yet, do u mind sharing a bit about ur RE path?

    • @merrywalsh2809
      @merrywalsh2809 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@leahw2461 Sure. I started out buying the cheapest house on the island for my first residence. I was not talking about Monaco earlier. I live in Hawaii. Even that was a stretch at the time. I rented out a bedroom to vacationing windsurfers. My bed and bath was on one side of the house, theirs on the other. They helped pay my mortgage and build equity. I saved money. When I sold and traded up, I continued to rent out a bedroom for several years. After that, I traded up without needing to rent rooms. Having roommates can be fun. They are gone a lot, you are gone a lot, so it is not bad.

    A long time ago. It was 1967. I went there to stay with my grandmother. The casino was closed. There was no obvious sign of rich, famous people. It was just a small town overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. Perhaps the wealthy people were away, though, because it was very hot and humid.

      What really "put Monaco on the map" was the race. That has been going on since the 1920s. Everything else followed, and for the most time it was a sleepy fishing village otherwise. That whole thing of the uber-rich making permanent residence seems to be a relatively recent thing.

      Personally I think I would have loved to have been there in the 1950s , 60s , and 70s before it became the overly crowded , packed in and overly built up monstrosity it has been for a while .
      It was a beautiful place before and now it looks very SUFFOCATING .

      What is wrong is your mindset. People are not equals. They have different physical characteristics, they have different mind characteristics, they have different parentage, different schooling, some work hard and some are lazy. Some are going to rise up and some are going to fall down. This will never change and it’s not wrong to be one that rises up it’s just an inevitability. Wealthy people usually put their money to work in private enterprise which produces products and services that people want and creates jobs for everyone else. All of the money paid in taxes is generated by private enterprise. When people engage in private enterprise they learn the financial machinations of life which enables them to expand and keep their wealth. This is not wrong or greed it’s just inevitable.

    Well, let's be real for a moment - there might be a grain of truth to the notion that kids from high socioeconomic backgrounds tend to have things a little easier. Growing up with privilege can cushion them from the harsh realities of life and shield them from adversity. They might not face the same challenges as their less fortunate peers, and thus lack exposure to overcoming obstacles that build resilience. But here's the thing: it's all about perspective. Just because they may have grown up with certain advantages doesn't automatically mean they are soft or lack resilience. Life throws curveballs at everyone, regardless of their background. Plus, let's not overlook the fact that resilience isn't just about dealing with hardships; it also involves emotional intelligence, adaptability, and problem-solving skills - areas in which kids from high socioeconomic backgrounds can excel too. So, while it's tempting to make sweeping generalizations, it's important to remember that we cannot measure someone's inner strength solely based on their bank account or upbringing.
