All I could say is, THANK YOU BRO. Now I have my afternoon busy for now. 55 minutes video of yours, 26 minutes of Andrew Camarata and 53 minutes of Nik Rijavec. Thank you for your hard work!
I didn't even watch Camarat buying random gadgets.. Boring, unfortunately. Andris puts a real contgent from the real life of someone who doesn't have a million money in his account.
I agree with Ants Pants and his energy and his dry humour and his multiple skills and ideas. I love this. And I agree with Nic Rijavec, , a highly talented and woodworker with a bunch of fantastic ideas and a simply amazing eye for filming nature. Both on the top of my list of great TH-camr 😍💯💥
So here's my costsaving tip for the ultra sonic cleaner: Fill the tub with clean water. Use a plastic jar with lid for small parts and put the cleaning solution, gasoline or diesel in the jar. Put the filled jar in the tub and give the parts at least 10 minutes of cleaning time........i mostly come allong with 50°C of temp.........but i do clean the parts of crude dirt and oil before i put them in the solution. And yes, you can filter the used liquid and reuse it again ;-) Thumbs up for your work 👍
I enjoy watching your videos. You're one of the hardest working people on TH-cam. Just a FYI, if you're using a quality paint, it's best to paint the inside of your tank before applying the silicone. That way you get more protection. I did this kind of work for more than 50 years and I've never had any callbacks because of a leak!
I have 3 ultrasonic cleaners in different sizes, including the same one you have. They will save you hours of cleaning time if you use the right solution. Gasoline {not recommended}, diesel, kerosene, white vinegar, regular carb cleaner, and concentrated degreaser. Just make sure whatever you use is friendly with aluminum because some solutions will literally eat aluminum in this machine. You can use smaller containers for small parts and just fill the container with the desired cleaner and then set it in the ultrasonic filled with water. Glass containers are best but plastic works also. I have cleaned many items in these machines including my eye glasses with no problems and they do an excellent job. Keep up with the great videos. There are also hundreds of TH-cam videos on how to use an ultrasonic cleaner. Good luck,
Just an FYI but ultrasonic cleaners will eat away aluminum just by themselves if you leave it in long enough. In fact, the way you test them is by hanging strips of aluminum foil in plain water. It should start to break apart pretty quickly
I rebuilt scuba regulators for several years, we covered the bottom of our ultrasonic clean with a light layer of dish soap, then add 50/50 hot water and distilled white vinegar. No matter how bad the regs looked, they always came out shiny and new.
In my wash station, I installed a pump and filled the bottom with degreaser, and i reused the fluids the hose flows from the top. Once the degreaser is no longer effective, i then drained it and put a new fluid in
I think adding a small electric pump connected to a water tank down bottom would be good to wash oil and stuff off of large parts like the hydraulic piston.
Was sad to see the fancy printed Ants Pants decal! Was really neat to see your hand painted names on all your previous projects, hope future projects go back to your usual hand painted names, Was like your trademark!!
You are one of our favorite You-tuber you are amongst a group of ten we watch all the time and you are fabulous. What a great cleaning station. Not bad for flying by the seat of your pants without a plan.. looking good my friend. It will be interesting to see what you do with that wall you put your cleaning station on. Your space in your shop is getting full you might need to add on.. Have an excellent week and weekend. Well done sir well done.. great video.
Andris is brilliant if you think about the work he puts into the video from creation to editing and acting he is awesome! Better than watch crappy television or movies that are horrible..big shout out to Ants !!!
An idea would be to city the surface grid in half so when you drop something through the grid you can easily get into bottom of wash area to get item , and you won't have to clear the whole surface grid to do so
You should add a pump and hoses between the containers. The pump should draw off the bucket furthest from the drain. That way all the solids will settle out in the first few containers. Then you could reuse the solvent you are using. Then again, it looks like you have a different idea. I was sort of thinking diy parts washer. Still though, great video and I like the build. I was yelling at you to not paint by that Porsche but you didn’t spray until the very end haha.
Wonderful lesson on how to build something useful. I have a small ultrasonic cleaner and I use it for small items with plain clean water. Great video. 👍🇺🇸
Great channel. I never miss it. Use the ultrasonic solution until it won't clean any more. You could add an exhaust fan and clothes dryer vent kit to remove solvent fumes while degreasing parts. It could even work as a welding fume extractor for small welding. Jobs.
Your video is seriously missing something man..... One hour!!!! Where is my other hour??😂 A by the way you have the best special effects I've come across. Especially the speed reading buzzing, that's one of the best 👌
*Conventional* ATF is about the most effective "degreaser" you can use in an ultrasonic cleaner. Safe for most metals, plastics, nonexplosive, non flammable. Rinses easily with alcohol or brake cleaner- or leave residue on for corrosion protection. DOT3 brake fluid removes just about all paints.
Yes you can reuse the liquid many times. Also a tip, keep the ultrasoniccleaner in a different room all together, you don't want to be in the same room as that thing. You should by some kind of pump with a brush in the end like a pro cleaning station👍.
See if you can get Vevor to send you a sand blasting cabinet and convert it to a vapor blaster. That'll be an awesome project. Gonna need it to clean all those equipment/engine parts.
I sometimes use mineral spirits in mine and it cleans amazingly. Sometimes I use a product called "Berrymans Chem Dip" carb cleaner mixed with water and that works even better. As for the large cleaning scrub tub, I only use mineral spirits. The blue flames is from the galvanize coating burning off the part, it's very bad to breathe. This project looks awesome.
Andris like the other people say keep your Ultrasonic cleaner in a different room, i too have a Ultrasonic cleaner i think its the same as yours, mine is a 30L unit. I use mine to remove cosmoline, grease, grime, old crap from WWI, WWII, and Vietnam Eres. I use Dawn Platinum dish soap and Distilled water, set the heater on wait till it get to your desired temperature and put your parts in , set the time and walk away. Dont think about it, and carry on doung other things, and when you go back. It is cleaner than before. And if the parts dont come out clean. I use plastic zipplock bags with degreaser and put the parts in the bag and drop them into the Ultrasonic cleaner with the hot water & dish soap, works very well. Hope this will help you as it did for me. Good luck my friend
Nice, you got and adapted a new powerup.. =) Well done! As far as I know, there are specific degreasing solutions and agents for ultrasonic cleaning, you can also reuse those several times, depending on how dirty stuff are you washing... Hehe, da, true, washing in style, just remember to keep the "extra special solution" on the full end of the scale, so you'll have pleasure instead of "cussin". Cheers! 😉
A suggestion for the ultrasonic cleaner. I am a goldsmith and I use dish washing liquid and ammonia. The ammonia helps to degrease the jewellery after polishing.

If you keep the water in the tank, the oils will float and small particles will sink to the bottom, making a mudcake. I would empty it every time and filter the water through some fine metal mesh or something and put it in a bottle/container for later use. I just got a tiny ultrasonic cleaner from Lidl that I bought like 10 years ago. As you see in the video, thick layers of grease are more stubborn as they dampen the waves of the water. It acts a little bit similar like soft undercoating does when trying to sandblast it with not enough pressure...
Yes reuse until it stops cleaning. Best possible outcome for cleaning smaller parts that you can put inside a plastic container is to fill the ultrasonic cleaner with water then take your sealable parts container and put your parts in it then fill the parts container with gasoline. Seal the parts container and place it into the ultrasonic cleaner and run it as usual. The gasoline cleans better than anything else I have tried. For bad rust issue use a CLR - calcium, lime and rust remover. CONCENTRATED. ZEP makes a very good product. And cut your top grate and put hinges on it so you can access inside the parts tub without having to move your Vevor ultrasonic cleaner. Love your channel bro. Talented dude. Maybe one day you’ll be as good as ANDREW!!! lol
Yes, that thick line an inch or so from the top is the max fill line, having it near/at full is better. Stuff like the lock needed cleaned in the sink with soupy water and scrub brush to remove bulk dirt beforehand. You don't want stuff up against the bottom/sides, so use baskets. Adding hot water will be gentler on the machine: better to maintain temp then warming up cold water.
Hey Andris, I don't have an ultrasonic cleaner myself, but I do follow quite a few channels where they guys do use these things. One of the best tips I've seen: If you're gonna use some kind of special cleaning solution (that's probably expensive) (which you did, I can say after watching the entire video), try to find a container that fits the part closely. Something like a glass mason jar usually works well. That way you can fill that up with the cleaning solution, and just use water in the machine. The water and most containers will transmit the ultrasonic waves perfectly, so you'll be able to use the large machine without using a lot of cleaning solution every time. Also, if you have something wearable, like glasses, a ring, or a bracelet, try that in the cleaner. It's probably gonna look amazing seeing how much dirt is gonna come off. Also, keep in mind that that's mainly what ultrasonic cleaners are good at: removing a little bit of dirt in very hard to reach places, like carburetors.
It is a great vid. One tip when using the ultrasonic cleaner is always fill the water up to the line. If you don’t fill it up the ultrasonic drivers may overheat and then not work anymore.
Yes the black color will not do your eyes favors. Maybe add later a simple screen/filter before the liquid goes to the plastic canisters, or even a simple pump to loop back the liquid. Could be useful if you plan washing there often. Anyway. It looks awesome! 🍒
🎉I use the napa brand 5 gallon pail parts cleaner in mine,I only use it to rebuild carburetors for customers the parts come out great. I have been using that cleaner for several years.
Still don't know how you only have 52+k subscribers! You have some great content Andris. You can defintiely re-use the solution in the ultrasonic multiple times, filter it if necessary between uses. There are some very good citrus based degreasers available, I use them all the time. 80 degrees is probably too high, I don't go any higher than 60, saves electricity too. And finally... always put the items being cleaned in the basket or inside another container with liquid in, in the basket, you should not put anything directly on the bottom of the cleaner. You will either damage the item, the ultrasonics, or both!
For a second there, before my brain interrupted and said no, I was really hoping that Vevor would send you a Kirovets sized cleaner 🤩 I use citric acid for cleaning parts, clean water only for parts that are more "delicate"
great video... but it will be interesting to see how long that ultrasonic cleaner will last there. If you are working there, cleaning parts, you will not be able to stand that noise. Most items needing the ultrasonic cleaner will be in the solution around 20 minutes, so may as well have it in another room :) Thx for the video, it is appreciated.
Another great afternoon Friday watching what you going to build next you like your work table overbilled buddy came out great keep the videos coming I don't know I think I found your channel maybe 6 months ago and now I only have three that I watch and I'm caught up with all your other videos to right now
Funny that i just bought the same ultrasonic cleaner since my old one just failed today. Currently rebuilding a fire damaged 7753 and everything is covered in soot, oil and grease. That combination is a nightmare to clean. Thanks for the video and future ideas.
Stick some adhesive pads on the underside of the lid. That will dampen the buzzing sound from the lid rattling and covering the unit will lessen the mosquito sounds. Absolutely reuse the solution.

I haven't done it yet, but I have a friend who has, he made a box that he lined with foam as sound deadening and put his cleaner in that, it doesn't get rid of all the house but it cut alot out, especially when he put the sound proffed lid on the box when it was running.
My dad did the concrete everwhere thing. we lived across the street from a middle school and the kids would come in large groups and damage the landscaping. So my dad not only covered a very large area with concrete, but he had it colored red. I dont know why he chose red. Since you dont want your neighbor to force you to learn a new language, you might choose a color different than red.
Ii only clean small parts like spark plugs and other stuff, but I use white vinegar. It work really well on most kinds of dirt or corrosion. also put the item in a small container with the cleaning fluid. Then pour water into the rest of the ultrasonic cleaner. It works just as well.
When you turned that thing on, the face you made, I laughed so hard! I had no idea how loud those things were, anyway, great job!
😁

Run the used ultra sonic cleaner thru a fine mesh strainer or paper filter to remove any metal and gunk and use it again.

Glad you enjoyed it
I haven't done it yet, but I have a friend who has, he made a box that he lined with foam as sound deadening and put his cleaner in that, it doesn't get rid of all the house but it cut alot out, especially when he put the sound proffed lid on the box when it was running.
Hmm. Okey
Love it! Really like the ability to drain oil and walk away. After watching you struggle pulling it around, maybe add some handles?
Good idea
Ants you do realise you’re going to need the Bob cat to move it ! 😂😂
haha yes
Menny times live it in
I might make one of those to clean the fish suppers made locally.
you could probably put down a transparent rubber sheet on the epoxy table to protect it and avoid scrapes
Well done! Another successful video. Very entertaining and instructive. You are highly talented and give much pleasure.
Use any old degreaser in the Ultrasonic cleaner even dish washing liquid in it.
Awesome project Ants 👍👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Thanks
I saw people reusing the solution for sonic cleaner on TH-cam but never seen 1 in real life face to face
It's Friday evening and it ist AntsPants time. 😊
hey
My dad did the concrete everwhere thing. we lived across the street from a middle school and the kids would come in large groups and damage the landscaping. So my dad not only covered a very large area with concrete, but he had it colored red. I dont know why he chose red. Since you dont want your neighbor to force you to learn a new language, you might choose a color different than red.
Pink?
Ii only clean small parts like spark plugs and other stuff, but I use white vinegar. It work really well on most kinds of dirt or corrosion. also put the item in a small container with the cleaning fluid. Then pour water into the rest of the ultrasonic cleaner. It works just as well.
Great tip!
man friday, next you will be making sand blast cabinets, cleaning parts off the (K-700A) - EP1
