Hello, I hope you are enjoying your day. I love all the beautiful colors you choose for your projects and after years of watching your channel, you never disappoint. Thank you, for sharing your time.❤
I love your latest cardigan and I would love it as a TH-cam tutorial. Also, your colour work mittens are the sweetest. Your designs and colour choices always blow me away. You have delicious taste.
I literally learned to crochet from watching your Spice of Life tutorials, so I'm all about your You Tube videos to follow along with for any pattern, and yes (!) to a Rosie Posie blanket pattern! Love the little "bloopers" at the end. lol
Love the idea for the rosyposy blanket I like the acid green and think it add a lot of depth too the idea. Your cardigan turned out so nice, and with it being crochet you could still add the rib if you felt it was needed at a later date. Your tee is looking lovely, unusual colours but together they really work. Your colourwork mitt is beautiful, your rabbit looks amazing. Stay safe love and hugs xx
Ok, that’s interesting, I hadn’t thought about the lime in that way. It’s a good point though. I’ll probably make a few more and see how it looks then. Yes I must admit this is one of the very rare occasions where I was thinking I might actually revisit this to add the collar ribbing. I usually can’t be bothered to change things later, but on this occasion…. Maybe! ☺️❤️
I just love the 4 colors of the rosey posey squares! I don't usually like pinks, but the addition of the acid green just sets them off.! Absolutely beautiful. Also love your grace cardigan. I would do it with a different yarn, but love the look.
loved spending time with you today. Your crochet cardigan is beautiful and I am tempted to make one for myself. I spotted the yarn in a local yarn shop at the weekend, it looks beautiful. As you asked I would like both a video tutorial and a pattern. I made your natures walk blanket a few years ago and funny enough pulled it out yesterday to look at the boarder for another blanket. I love your patterns, it taught me how to read a crochet pattern. Many thanks for the time you spend making your videos and showing your beautiful projects. I want to make those bunny mittens as well xxxx
Love ❤❤❤ the cardi!! Please make a pattern just as yours is, sleeves and all. Beautiful, just like everything you make. Maybe a purchased pattern with a special TH-cam for purchasers only, if possible? That way you could provide solid color hints, and could be however long you want it to be. Can’t wait.

Hi Sandra, I love how your Grace granny cardigan came out. I also oohhhed when you said maybe one in the light dusty rose color. I would love both a TH-cam video and written pattern. I am making a wide ribbing as I watch. Mine is every row back loops only in single crochet. I have a torn meniscus after falling this week so decided I was couch bound with a challenge. I am scared of sleeves. I have 3 crochet cardigans that I abandoned at the sleeves. So I grabbed one...the tulip granny cardigan and thought I am doing this! It worked!! Now I have to add the ribbing at the bottom and around the front and neck. I can crochet a garment and am so happy. The blanket is beautiful and really does capture your pretty blossoms. Happy crocheting and knitting! 🧶
Oh no, sorry to here that, although it does sound very sensible to make good use of that recovery time. It seems you have used it very well! It always surprises me how much actually goes into the sleeves. You feel like you are nearly finished, just the sleeves to go, then it takes ages! Hope the knee is on the mend soon. ❤️❤️
Thanks! Oh I love the tulips when they come. Mine have had a bit of a fail this year and not many came at all! They seem to be on their way out too, the ones that did make it. ❤️
Super podcast again Sandra. Even though I don’t crochet and I know I’m a bit late watching and commenting I just thought straight away that you could make a lovely bag from your Rosie posie squares. I’d love to see them made into a gorgeous lined handbag or tote bag. 🧶😀🌺
@@CherryHeart Ah great. I thought you had a few blankets. It just shouted out as a lovely bag to me. Perhaps gathered at the top so it’s more of a handbag that curves than a flat bag. The design is in my head but I couldn’t make it unless I had ready made crochet squares 😂. I only sew and knit. But your crocheted items are beautiful 🧶😄🪡
Wow love the granny grace cardigan, I haven’t got past doing anything other than blankets at the moment, I think s one coloured on would look fabulous. Your rabbit mitts are so lovely and I have also been looking at videos using the inside out method of colour work, because I always struggle with the corners ❤
I can understand that, there’s so many options for beautiful crochet blankets isn’t there? Plenty to keep you going! I hope the knitting inside out works for you, I’m finding it seems to do the trick very nicely. 👌❤️
I am always amazed at all your creativity and your ability to design and chose beautiful colors. Loved seeing everything and will be interested to see where your rosy posy becomes. thank you!
I love your Rosie Pose squares! The colors are perfect. A video would be different. What ever works the best for you, I think. Just so grateful for you sharing all your beautiful makes!! Thank you!!❤
Hey, your cardi looks so cute. I think I may have to give it a try. Recently found your podcast and have throughly enjoyed it. Keep up the great work 👍. ❤❤❤
I just discovered you and I'm so glad I did. Your wonderful sense of color and the soft patchwork of your work reminds me of my idol Kaffe Fassett! I crochet but plan to learn to knit this winter (at my advanced age). In the meantime, I'll be making your beautiful Christmas tree skirt.
Love the granny cardigan. I’d love both a video tutorial with key parts of the process and a full written pattern. I made a hexi cardigan and used techniques from a few tutorials to customise the fit. It is such a great design to make your own
Inspiring podcast Thank you ! Yes to more bloopers please , and yes to You Tube Tutorials , Am sure I'm mot alone when need to be shown . Enjoy very much seeing your Bertie . Woof ! May I recommend another pod caster Kutovakika {lives in Finland and has publish knitting books .} Her work is first class . Till next time Greetings from Canada 🥰
Thank you so much! Yes it’s often so much easier when you can just see something being done isn’t it? What a coincidence, I just stumbled across Kutovakika the other days on Instagram. She had a gorgeous jumper pattern and was talking about how she turned her yarn stash into her yarn ‘shop’ and is displaying that way so it looks very inviting. I loved that! ❤️❤️
I love the crochet cardigan and know that my teenage niece would love a cool teenage version. I think that is such an adaptable idea. Also love the ever timely arrival of Bertie during the podcast. 😀
I have alpaca socks I made from my own hand spun yarn that are 11 years old. That I wear every winter for a few months with my lace up boots alpaca can last quite a long time : )
I like your version of the hexicardigan. I'm just not a fan of the granny cluster pattern. Your version looks more delicate and the sleeve detail is very pretty. The cherry tree color inspiration is very fresh looking. 💜 Editing notes - 'time scamps' and your pup- 😘 Thank you.❤
Just to add my admiration for your lovely hexi cardigan. I would really welcome a pattern preferably a printed one but your tutorials are also very helpful.
I ❤ your hexi cardigan! It’s gorgeous! I would also ❤ a pattern. recipe, and/or tutorial. Your rosy posey squares would make a nice border around a textured crochet blanket. 💖
Yes exactly! It’s very much a kind of recipe style pattern so I think a more casual style would suit it better too. Ooh that’s such a clever idea for the Rosie Posie squares! ☺️❤️
Hi Sandra. Love the mitts and the granny cardi. Would appreciate a video and a written pattern please, if that isn't too much to ask as I realise how busy you are already. Also love the rosie posie although those aren't really my colours. Thank you for another inspiring podcast.
Hi Sandra. I was so inspired by granny cardi the first time you showed it. But thought cotton would be better for our climate so have ordered cotton in the closest colours to yours that I could find. Fingers crossed I ordered enough. lol. Would love to see a tutorial on here if you can . Blessings from Greece. P.s love your mitts too!
Hi Cherry, I am knitting quite a lot of color work using DPNs. In Norway we use 5 needles to do this, and quite short ones. I find that easy. Then you also divide by 4 not 3. I have also tried these new type of needles and I find them very awkward. Your mittens look beautiful. I tend to twist the yarn bands in when you have long stretches of one color. There are many tips on how to do that. You make so many nice things
Yes so have some 5 needle dpns actually, I think I’d try those next time as I can’t get in with these Flyers at all! Ooh that’s a good tip for the twisting yarns, thank you, I’ll give that a try next time! ❤️❤️
I am very inspired to make your cardi! That would be wonderful to wear over pj's or on chilly mornings. Have you ever thought of doing a crochet-a-long? It would be really fun to work on something as a group. The acid green with the shades of pink and cream is stunning! I am finishing up a granny daisy type crochet blanket and am thinking about the next project. I could see those squares on some kitchen chairs....so pretty!
I did actually wonder about some sort of ‘make with me’ idea for this cardigan. With a video for each stage as I got to it, so it would be a kind of crochet along in ‘real time’. It’s a thought a way. 🤔 ❤️
Really enjoyed watching this, thank you, though I'm a bit late. I also didn't like the Hiyahiya Flyers for the same reasons. I tried using them for a cuff down sock and the instep was impossible. I destashed mine. I adore your cardigan. Its so beautiful. I'm looking to improve my crochet skills and would love to make a garment so a pattern and video tutorials would be perfect for me (obviously paid for). Thanks again and happy crafting.
Thank you so much! Yes so re-tried the Flyers again but just can’t make it stick for me either. I think these will find another home too! Thanks so much for your comment. ❤️
Those rabbit mitts are so tempting, but I don't think I'm quite ready for that type of colorwork. Your Vintage waves sweater is absolutely gorgeous! I think the creamy contrasting band will be absolutely gorgeous. I hear you on the sizing decisions. I actually do the opposite and make it a smaller size because I know I'm a loose crocheter. The grace cardigan is absolutely lovely as well!
Oh they are pretty those rabbits are so cute. I’d you do fancy your hand at colour work I think these are a good incentive. Well it worked for me anyway! Thanks so much on the sweater, it’s always a little tricky in the sizing isn’t it? I’m the opposite, I usually get gauge ok but then tighten up as I get into the project and start to speed up a bit. 🤷♀️ I’ve started sleeve one now though and I think it’s probably going to work out about right. Then I’m thinking I can make a short sleeve version I’m the next size down too! 👌☺️❤️
Re the socks: I have knit socks in Berroco Ultra Alpaca fine (also only wool and alpaca) and they wear just fine. I have neuropathy in my feet, which reacts best with wool socks and these socks are favorites -- very soft.
Oh that’s good news. Hopefully there’s hope for mine to in that case. I shall have to test them out today. I’ve been procrastinating on it I think, but the softness does sound inviting! ❤️❤️
I love the new cardigan! Those rosie posie squares are pretty too. I always prefer written patterns with some helpful video clips of specific stitches or techniques as an accompaniment to the written pattern. I am working on your painted anemones potholder/doily pattern now. I am in love with it! ❤
Thanks so much! Yes that’s my usual way of doing things certainly, and what I prefer myself too. I pause with Thai one because I suppose it’s more of a ‘recipe’ than a pattern in many ways. 🤔 ❤️
Love your hexagon cardigan too. Tried to understand how you created it but I would love to have a pattern to purchase to make it. It’s beautiful and the colours don’t clash. A tutorial would be handy too! A wonderful podcast thank you 😊
🥰🥰🥰 Once again, I don’t know how you do it, but all of your work and projects make me gasp out loud!!! You are SO incredibly talented and inspiring!!! I learn best with video, but I’m making myself get quite good at patterns, too - so anything you decide to share would be wonderful!!!
What a lovely way to begin my weekend enjoying watching you share your lovely makes. The problem with that is I want to make them all! I had a go at the hexagonal cardi with the Grace yarn and was very pleased with the outcome. I added a hoodie onto mine and then attached motifs all the way around the fronts and the hood. You inspired me to be creative with my crochet, thank you. I am now working on the Bali Wrap but have decided to turn it into a jumper because it is so beautiful and I want to get more wear out of it. Also, my Moorit spring/summer catalogue dropped through the letterbox this morning, full of beautiful tempting designs. Thank you for the recommendation. I see the weekend ahead has lots of crafty crocheting moments to enjoy :)
Ha ha, I know that feeling! I’m still working on projects inspired by vlogmas vids! ☺️ Ooh your hexi cardi sounds amazing! What a great idea. If you are on Instagram and fancy sending me a pic, I’d love to see that! ❤️❤️
@@CherryHeart I have an Insta account but never made use of it until this evening! Hopefully you can view the photos I have posted. I have also finished the Bali Top yesterday so have put a photo of it there too!
I’m a visual learner and would love a video for it. I have a hard time following written patterns. I would love to make it! It’s beautiful you did a great job on the cardigan!! I love it!!! ❤
I must say that your Vintage Waves sweater is lovely. The placement of the different colors is simply inspired. I am working on this top as well and I had a massive fail because my back seam ended up wonky. Now, with my good yarn, I have started again and it seems to be going better because the color variation hides the joins. I've been very smitten with squares lately and will have to try your pretty Rosie Posey squares. Very enjoyable podcast.
Thank you so much! Yes I wondered about how much the back seam would show too. I think, like you, the yarn variations and bits of colour are really helping it just blend in nicely. ❤️
Hi Sandra, your cardigan is fabulous❣️ I think a video tutorial, and a written pattern would be awesome! It would be the best of both worlds. Do you have a guess of how much yarn balls you used for your cardigan? I think your solid pink cardigan idea is fabulous. It is just the right color pink. I love the Rosie Posey squares they is going to be so cute as a blanket. I think a tutorial, for it would be great. It was a lovely episode from start to finish. Thank you so much for all your creative work. I really appreciate the inspiration. It is always a joy to visit with you. I hope you have a lovely weekend and take care ☺️
Oh thank you so so much. You always leave me such wonderful comments. 🥰. For the cardigan I think I just went into a fifth ball of the cream to finish. If you are a bit smaller than me (38” chest) you might get away with 4, but I’ve just ordered up some pink and went for 5 to be safe. ☺️ Then I only used a tiny amount of the other colours. I think maybe both would be good. It’s almost like a recipe rather than a pattern in some ways so a bit of both might work well. ☺️🩷
I love the stitch pattern on the waves sweater. I'm not up for making a sweater right now but that pattern and the way you carried those colors of yarn would also look really pretty in a shawl. Might have to buy the sweater pattern to see what/how she's doing it.
So lovely to “see” you on this blustery morn here! Wow. Your color work on those mitts is fabulous- I love the different designs. And the Grace cardi seems like such an easy and comfy piece when all you want is something cozy ;). (I’m actually trying out an idea inspired by this.). Thanks for the peek at your garden blossoms and the new/old design. Take care.
With the Flyers, they're exactly like the Addi CraSyTrio needles, your supposed to have the non working side day in the middle of the needle on the cord so that bit bends away from the working needle. This gives you the space to knit on the active needle. The fingerless mitts look great and that cardigan is lovely!
Ahh ok I think I know what you mean. That’s interesting, I can see how that would make more sense. Might give them another go for the second mitt then. Thanks so much for the tip! ❤️
Absolutely love the rosie posie!!! Please do video tutorial! I'm terrible at crochet! Tried to do your granny square heart and failed miserably! Love your podcast!
I made a hexagon cardigan some years ago, but I didn't like how big the sleeves were, so I never wore it. If you have a solution for a narrower sleeve that could be a wonderful addition to the variety of ways to make the your cardigan. Great podcast as always!
Yes they do seem to be very well suited to the big sleeve style, which of course was what I was wanting so it worked out well for me. I do have an idea for how I want to trim the sleeve down a bit for my next one though. ❤️
I am new to your podcast and your granny cardigan is what caught my attention. Would you consider writting a pattern and doing a tutorial? In reading the comments below I think your pattern would be a winner!
Ahh thanks so much! Yes I think that will probably happen. A bit of a tutorial/crochet along type style with a pattern I think. Something like that anyway!
Hi Sandra - hmmm not so crazy about the hexagon sweater... I know how to cut patterns and it seems that idea is not the best for fitting. But OK. Its worth hearing about. I do like the posy squares. What I am so looking for is a crochet version of a Stephen West type shawl... And also a non granny square set of squares for a blanket...! Have a think if you're looking. Warmest. Jackie
Hi lovely! Hope you are well btw? On the mohair, short answer is that it is a little bit scratchy, yes. Not terribly so, but I do wear this over long sleeve tops because I’m quite sensitive to that kind of thing. Long answer though, I don’t know if, like me, you have memories of mohair from the past when it was so, so itchy? In the 80’s or 90’s I guess? Anyway, it’s not as bad as that! In fact when I buy modern indie mohair, it’s barely itchy at all. This is a touch more itchy than those, I guess because it’s got a little wool in too? So I find it very useable but I probably wouldn’t make a scarf from it! ☺️❤️❤️
@@CherryHeart thank you Sandra, that’s very helpful 😀 yes I’m “wool sensitive” too, but as you say “things ain’t what they use to be”. I seem able to wear next to skin much better than I ever could. Though I find alpaca itchy, suri seems to be okay. I am especially drawn to that gentle pink you have, I think a Grace Cardigan would look very nice in that too. Hope you are keep well, I’m doing okay 😉🤗✨💞🌸

Thanks so much! Ooh I hadn’t thought of a bag. I’d started aiming for a blanket, but I really don’t need one. So I like this idea! ☺️❤️
@@CherryHeart
Ah great.
😂😂😂😂😂the ending is the best 😂😂😂😂 Nice quiet moments❤❤❤
Ha ha thanks!! 🤦♀️🤷♀️🤣
🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾
Loved seeing everything and will be interested to see where your rosy posy becomes. thank you!
I love the Rosie squares. I cant wait to see what they become and i love the colors!
Yes plz! Do the cardi pattern! Would love it written or video!
You are so amazing!! I enjoy all your designs
Thank you so much!! ☺️❤️🌸
Love your cardigan. Would love a video and a written pattern. Thanks so much for all your podcasts!
Hola , te estoy siguiendo por tu tejidos hermosos , desde Chile 🇨🇱 no hablo inglés, pero voy a tratar de ser los videos para tejer
Your cardigan is just gorgeous ❤ I would love a pattern. 😊
I love your Rosie Pose squares! The colors are perfect. A video would be different. What ever works the best for you, I think. Just so grateful for you sharing all your beautiful makes!! Thank you!!❤
Ahh that’s so kind, thank you! ❤️
Hey, your cardi looks so cute.
I think I may have to give it a try. Recently found your podcast and have throughly enjoyed it. Keep up the great work 👍. ❤❤❤
Thanks so much, lovely to have you here. ❤️
Oh thank you so much that’s so lovely of you to say and it’s great to have you here! ❤️
Love it all but especially the beautiful grannies at the end. Can't wait to see what you do with them. (Bloopers at the end, so funny!)
Thanks Kathy! ❤️
Yes please make a video tutorial 🌸🌺
Love the granny cardigan. I’d love both a video tutorial with key parts of the process and a full written pattern. I made a hexi cardigan and used techniques from a few tutorials to customise the fit. It is such a great design to make your own
Ok brilliant. I think you are right, that’s probably the best way to do it. Yes it’s definitely a great canvas for adapting. ☺️❤️
QUESTION How many yrds or metres of yarn is needed,. How many balls.
@@CherryHeart love the look
Hard to say as it’s so customisable, but I used a little over 4 balls of the main colour for mine. ❤️
Your cardigan is so cute. I love the Rosie Posie squares, the colors are perfect
I love the hexagon cardigan! I made one with the granny stitch and it was so easy and fun to make. I want to make one like yours next time!
Yes they are really fun to work up aren’t they? I loved the quickness of it. ☺️🩷
Would love both
Inspiring podcast Thank you !
Glad I watched through to the very end !! 🤣🤣🤣
Ha ha love a few bloopers! 🤣
Love the sorbet colours, would really like a blanket in these squares!
I have alpaca socks I made from my own hand spun yarn that are 11 years old. That I wear every winter for a few months with my lace up boots alpaca can last quite a long time : )
Oh how lovely and warm! That’s good to know though, hopefully mine will be ok too! ❤️
I like your version of the hexicardigan. I'm just not a fan of the granny cluster pattern. Your version looks more delicate and the sleeve detail is very pretty.
The cherry tree color inspiration is very fresh looking. 💜
Editing notes - 'time scamps' and your pup- 😘
Thank you.❤
Just to add my admiration for your lovely hexi cardigan.
Rabbit glove is beautiful ♡ Sandra I love cuff down socks Knit socks are great
Thanks! ☺️
Sandra just loving it I wish you could do tutorial as well pls ❤
Hi Sandra. Love the mitts and the granny cardi. Would appreciate a video and a written pattern please, if that isn't too much to ask as I realise how busy you are already. Also love the rosie posie although those aren't really my colours. Thank you for another inspiring podcast.
Oh you are kind! I think a bit of both (pattern and video) seems to be winning out for the cardi so that seems to be a good option. ❤️❤️
Say it as it is(at the end🤣) dogs do like to have the last say! But love them!
@@CherryHeart You would do a great job! I would really enjoy the adventure and sense of community!
I love your granny cardigan. I’d love to have a written pattern with some tutorials to help along the way. It’s gorgeous……
Your Granny Cardigan is absolutely beautiful 🌷🌸love the Bunny 🐰 mittens 🧶 prefer both video and written 😻
Ahh thanks so much!! ❤️
Oh love the rosie posie x
And the bloopers
More of each please :-) Denise
Ha ha, thanks! ☺️❤️
Thanks
Thank you so much! ☺️❤️
Love the hexi cardi. You've inspired me to try one.
Love your hexagon cardigan too. Tried to understand how you created it but I would love to have a pattern to purchase to make it. It’s beautiful and the colours don’t clash. A tutorial would be handy too! A wonderful podcast thank you 😊
The "hexi granny detail cardigan modified" looks good The sleeves are particularly nice!
Thanks so much! ❤️
Ahh thank you so much!! 🤗🤗
Also Bali Wrap into a jumper sounds awesome too! I might have to have a go at that myself. What a great idea. 👍🙌❤️
@@CherryHeart I have an Insta account but never made use of it until this evening! Hopefully you can view the photos I have posted. I have also finished the Bali Top yesterday so have put a photo of it there too!
Very interested. Both video and written if only one, written.
Beautiful projects!!!!!
Thanks!
So kind, thank you! ❤️
Time Scamps. 😉🥰It’s now “a thing,” and you started it. Little ole you. 🥳
Ha ha, yeah I think time scamps might have to stay! 🤣🤣🤦♀️☺️❤️
Love your pretty shelves behind you. So neat and tidy. Where are they from?
Ahh I actually found it on her blog. May play around with a swatch and colors.
Yes the stitch pattern is very pretty, I’m really enjoying that about it too. Have fun with you experimenting! 🩷🌸
Take care.
Thanks so much Barbara, yes all the rabbit varieties really appeal to me too. Very tempting to make two pairs! ☺️❤️
I wonder how the rosy posy would look with a light sky blue as a border for each one to tye them all together
Ooh that’s could be nice. And I do love me some light blue too. Will experiment! ❤️
🌸🌺🌸 Love the Roses Posey!!
Absolutely love the rosie posie!!! Please do video tutorial! I'm terrible at crochet! Tried to do your granny square heart and failed miserably! Love your podcast!
Ahh thanks so much! Yes I think crochet is harder to learn in many ways. At least I found it so anyway. ☺️❤️
I just love the cardi and would love a tutorial. The petal colour is just so beautiful😊🧶❤️
@@CherryHeart Thank you so much. I'll be waiting.
Warmest. Jackie
Hi Sandra have a look at double knitting with the floats. Knitting reversible knitting on TH-cam
Ooh ok, will do!
Hi dear, what about a type of kimono with the rosie poise!
Hahah “cut out the crap “ 😂
Always the crap! ☺️🤣🤣
@@CherryHeart 🤣
I’d love a video tutorial being a visual learner…. But my question is, does the mohair make it scratchy?
I have a date to watch you tonight...... Busy today cleaning but looking forward to tonight when I can sit with a nice, hot cup of tea, my needle, and my phone to watch .... Later ❤
Ahh nice. I can be your reward for a good days work! ☺️❤️
Is the “Rosie Posie” pattern available? It is lovely.
It is! I have a photo tutorial for it on my blog. I popped the link in show notes. Hang on I have it here too… sandra-cherryheart.blogspot.com/2013/03/rosie-posie-grannie-square-tutorial.html
There you go! ☺️
Thank you so very much ☺️
Love your cardigan , I would prefer a video tutorial as I find it difficult to follow patterns and tend to give up!!
Is there a pattern available for the Rosie Posie squares please? I looked on Ravelry but it is no longer available on there .... nor in the 'time scamps'!
I put it in my show notes. Except I forgot to publish them. 🤦♀️ They are there now though. ❤️
Thank you!🎉
🥰🧶😘😍❤️👏👏👏👍
