The Power To Change - Thor from God of War Ragnarok

From personal fears to family expectations, there is always some obstacle when it comes to change. For Thor, his need to change mirrors the character growth we've previously seen from Kratos and Atreus. It is because of the loss of his sons and the lives of his wife and daughter that the god of thunder seems fit to change. However, how can Thor be expected to change from a violent, alcoholic drunk when that is all he has ever been and all his father has ever told him that he could be?
