Armada’s Starscream is still my favorite Transformers character of all time. I was so sad when he died, but at least he went out with an awesome death and his sacrifice ended the war. Edit: Also loved Galvatron’s sacrifice at the end to save Optimus. Only Armada has both Megatron and Starscream grow as characters to the point they sacrifice themselves for the greater good.

Oh what about G1 Ironhides. His head get melted into the floor of a ship by megatron's cannon. Rachet dies similar. Killed by megatron. And starscream, too. He is gone, reduced to atoms by galvatron. All in the same movie.
The Armada Starscream might have been a Decepticon, but then he realized that he was used so Megatron could get his hands on another Minicon weapon but then he stood up for himself and joined Optimus Prime and the Autobots and was shown empathy. But until Thrust tricked him into joining back by taking the Star Saber and Skyboom Shield by making that decision it almost costed him his new friends with the Hydra Cannon about to destroy Earth and then Optimus Prime sacrificed himself but he was brought back to life and in order to see that the Decepticons would join forces with the Autobots to defeat Unicron like Optimus he too gave his own life not just as an example to others but also as a way to apologize to the Autobots for his betrayal. His sacrifice will not be forgotten. Till all are One.
I think Arcee’s death shouldn’t be on this list(even though it isn’t),but I think she had one of the saddest death in the whole transformers story. Just think about it.

If anyone is confused why we are saying Optimus shot sentinal in the head for ironhide or something is because at the end sentinal and Optimus battle later in the battle sentinal cut Optimus’s arm off and when he does Optimus almost dies until megatron comes out of nowhere saves Optimus then they fight and Optimus DESTROYS HIM then he shoots sentinal in the head
