A Blue Streak in Devon - 60007 'Sir Nigel Gresley' with "The English Riviera Express - 06/07/2024

Returning to Devon as a supplement for B1 61306 ‘Mayflower’, A4 no 60007 ‘Sir Nigel Gresley’ would be briefly based at Bishops Lydread for work with Saphos on thier summer programme of “The English Riviera Express”, the A4 would haul the train on Saturday 6th July from Taunton to Kingswear and return with diesel haulage bringing the train from Northampton
On a windy but sunny day the A4 firstly heads out of Parsons Tunnel along the sea wall nr Teignmouth before coming to a stop at the signal whilst congestion was occurring at the station, a few minutes later 60007 restarts it’s heavy train showing the strength and power as she heads west
For the return SNG would have a fast run back to Taunton after being put infront of the Exmouth stopper, seen charging towards Starcross at Cockwood Harbour a few minutes early
