From a Spanish person: if you are going to stay until December, trust me: you’ll need the long pants. We have warm weather but not tropical, so it gets kinda cold in the winter. Funny you coming here. My kids are dying to go to college in the US which my oldest is next year. I Live in Madrid. You are definitely doing to need the jeans and cardigans if you are staying until December. It’s not that warm. Plus my kids (teenagers) love the clothes here so would bring less and shop here:)

I grew up in central Spain and… it’s not that warm there… in winter can get up to -10/-12 but will usually be around 3-7 degrees (this is Celsius btw). It used to be colder when I was a kid, damn climate change…

Once October comes in Madrid, it is cold and rainy so you will need cold weather stuff! September had hot days, but it will get cold.
