I spent 75db this morning on 1 container and got it, I was shocked.
i decided to go for the 2 containers you could get for coal, and also got it. 30k coal for a tier 8 is a nice pickup. hope you have fun in your new boat.
Had the same thing happen to me, there goes my luck for the rest of the year XD
@@SSHSpartan in the last 8 months i have had this ship from the coal containers and gotten 3 ships from the events where you have to buy a bunch of bundles, but i got them as the first thing seen when looking at the bundles. Belfast 43, Guiseppi Verdi, and a tier 9 Asian BB. i think the most i paid out was 2k dubs (?) or less, the Belfast was only 777 dubs. i heard of others getting these event ships in the first bundles for years, and always thought they were just telling stories to keep from being called a whale, but it actually can happen.
@@joedoe6444 Honestly this is the second day I've been back online in months. Trying to grind out the Wisconsin atm. Decided to check the armory and was checking the Wiesbaden out, thought eh I've got some freebie credits i just got. Wasn't actually expecting to get the ship at all as I've never had any luck on getting special ships. So when I did pull it, I just kinda sat there unable to really react.

WG looked at grocery store pricing and thought that they could get into that action.
As long there ARE players around that don't care much about spending extra on pixels, WG can ask whatever they want. As soon ppl realize that the player base holds the key to prizing (stop buying premium pixels), those prices will go down rather quickly (I would expect)

It's like a San Diego, but with smokes and better torps and the ability to set fires. No heal, but all in all a better ship I think.
Give me a heal over better torps any day. Not to mention sandy can easily become a no fly zone for CVs with DFAA. Cant live without that heal in a light cruiser, since as long as you can manage your citadel you'll be able to actually take a hit and not cry about it
@@M3RUL3Z It's not just the torps. SD is a great ship and I like her a lot, but her lack of HE, combined with her silly torp range and especially the absence of smoke make her more vulnerable. Yeah she has a bit more survivability, but like Wiesbaden she gets overmatched from all angles, so the heal is of limited use. SD is great but her use is more situational, IMO.

While Lutjens makes pretty much every German surface ship better, I wonder at how many would be willing to respec their Lutjens for Wiesbaden, considering she needs a unique build compared to the other German premium ships which have a fair degree of skill overlap.
For Ops I don't think it'd be that different. I just run full Lighthouse on Mainz. Firing from smoke remains a constant of 4.52km with Wiesbaden regardless of how you spec her. Same exact build will work. Just lower DPM/fires in exchange for torpedoes/floods.
The U.S. special commander seems better for ships that rely on guns. Lutjens seems rly good for secondary BBs, or CVs only.
As much as I like this ship for that price I'm just going to buy Manor Lords instead, and then put the rest of the cost in a savings account.....
That being said I would like to have it, it could be a fun ranked ship with that conceal as DD hunter. Hydro and smoke with that conceal is crazy.
bought the 2 containers for 15k coal each they had in the armory, and actually got the ship. i'm now on my way to buy some lottery tickets....lol.
I love the contrast between the Wiesbaden and the Elbing. Elbing being a DD that behaves more like an anticruiser light cruiser... where as the Weisbaden is a light cruiser that behaves more like an anti-dd dd.
I got lucky with the Wiesbaden and picked it up in one of the two containers they let you get for coal, so basically it was free. I've only had a few games in it so I'm still figuring it out. I've been running it similar to how I usually play the Flint. The longer range guns mean it's not as necessary to play an aggressive early game like with the Flint, but I can't always help myself.
You get salvos of 5k every shot where i have to wait 30 seconds in my battleship to get just about teh same amount of damage out of a single salvo lol
Battleships are for tanking📣📣📣
Try the adaptive reticle and aim for those pixals
Looks like a fun ship. To me it's like looking at a Mustang at the Ford Dealership, before it went full EV of course, while your Fusion is getting serviced. Yeah it looks nice, but not at that price, way too much. Good video regardless, thank you.

I just won the WOWS lottery apparently. Bought the 90% discounted first box for 75 doubloons and got the ship lol. Cheapest tier VIII premium ever! /s

I spend more on German ships than every other, it's not even close to being worth 24k.
WG is getting insanely greedy.
Well, I got the first 3 discounted crates. The second one dropped the Wiesbaden, and the third one dropped 20,000 Free XP (would have been the ship if I hadn't already gotten it). There went all my good RNG for the year! It seems decent... the weak HE is a bit of a bummer, but the torpedos and smoke are nice to have.
Pity, this looks like it would be THE new Operations carry boat. Not for 24k though, no way...

This ship is literally a better flint with better arcs. Its such a good ship. It makes flint and Atlanta look like a joke lol it has built in eop and great ap because of the shell arcs. I wish they have us this ship on wows legends console
like so many goodish boats they put in the game for an overpriced event, i will gladly wait until it maybe comes out in the armory somewhere or is put into super containers or Santa crates.
I like it, it grows on you I rolled the dice and bought 1500 doubloon's and won.
This is what WG do they tempt you with a clearly op ship get you to spend big bucks then nerf it a year down the line because they changed the rules to nerfing premium ships any premium ship after 2018 can be nerfed which is the reason they took all the old op ships off sale. Buy at your own risk.

Problem with releasing a German Light Cruiser line is it basically makes the Elbing line redundant as if it wasn’t already.
Thank you wargaming for making this ship so expensive. I really considered buying this ship just to try it out as it did look fun. With the high price tag, that makes the decision so much easier to say no. Thank you wargaming for keeping me from coming back to this game and from keeping me from giving you any more money.

I might just whale this, Mainz is my most played ship but if my team is struggling I cant go in and surgically execute maneuvers to change the odds like a dd. BUT NOW!!! I can have both worlds!!! Its a little disgusting...

I feel compelled to get it, despite the expense and that I hardly play at all anymore. It would make 0 sense for me to get this ship.... but it's hard to pass it up when it named for a city so close to where I grew up, and it's the capital city of my home state. So yeah..... would make no sense at all for me to whale my way to the ship.... none... zero.... zip... zilch...

Even though I would really like to get this boat, I´m not gonna gamble or spend 24K dubs to get it. If it´s ever for sale for a normal Tier 8 price I will pick it up. If not, then too bad, I´m gonna gonna give WG more money than I have to.

Munchen is great, but the citadel is a bit questionable.
@@Tony-zc3wl I like it better than Weimar though. Fast, short reload, maneuverable, if you play it safe early in the match you can get some pretty good flanks or ambushes with it late game.
I got it by spending 30,000 coal for the two loot boxes.

I'm a ship collector and so far bought every premium ship in the game, but with that price, WG can screw themselves. No way I'm paying 5k dubs more for a T8 than for a T9.

It's a Flint with upgrades that push it to tier-8. It has better guns, better armor (not tactically significant as it is still squishy), more torps but worse smoke. So a tier-8 Flint. Yawn.

Hi PQ. when you introduce new ships to players, you use a modified HUD and you never know what the ship's camouflage is, what the range of the guns, the range of the torpedoes, the range of the secondary, and when someone wants to know.
it is known that everyone can rewind the material to the moment where you present the statistics, they can find them on the Internet, or watch another CC who is playing on the same ship. is that what you want?
There's a lot of information that is hidden even if he went over the nominal ingame stats. I recommend googling "wowssb" and searching the Wiesbaden in there.
It'll give *all* of the parameters (except armor layout) and you can compare to any ship ie Mainz.
Have you actually played this ship in tier 10 matches? So far it seems you arent running into the annoying gimmicks that make this ship blow up at tier 10.

Games cost money kids. They are made by corporations that need funds to pay their employees and make a profit. I spend money in the game since it is my entertainment. I am having a hard time understanding why most of this player base, PQ included, constantly whine about WG making money. Do all of you work for free? Does the company you work for CHARGE people for the their product?

All of the original tech tree ships have been power crept. Most of the time you will be in tier 10 matches w no aa, heal or armor if you play a t8. Not an enjoyable experience
Makes absolutly no sense to campare this ship with the Mainz.
