Not even 2 minutes and they already need to be corrected. Mercedes-AMG has 2 flagship cars. This and the SL which is a roadster version of this car. Otherwise, what kind of "flagship" car is 10k cheaper than the so called "none flagship" SL? Of the entire AMG lineup, this and the SL are the only cars exclusively made and designed by AMG. The other problem with all AMG's, is that you have to pay $5000 for freight and PDI. It doesn't matter which one you buy. Not a problem for someone who can afford a GT, but for an A45?? I already send an email to Mercedes about how outrageous this is. But it would be great if more reviewers complained about that and help your viewers out.
Its a better designed 911. Better utility and ergonomics, with the hatch back trunk. The only mistake Mercedes made, was not designing it like this from the beginning in 2014.
Good video guys. For $100k less, I am happy with my 2024 Jag F-Type P-575. Love it! F-Type is better looking, better sound, supercharged and better interior. That Merc screen is obnoxious
The F Type has the HP of the 63, but can’t put them on the road. Performance is slightly less than the 55, so it’s not a real comparison. Realistically for 30k more you could have this with better performance than the Jag. There is no comparison in the drive and interior. I’d take the 55 over the jag. But full disclosure, I got the 63.
well having driven both I have to disagree. The F type has the noise without the power. The supercharger is . . . wanting. Like all superchargers there is a delay, and the overrun sounds like a loud fart. Sure it turns heads but who wants people looking and saying ‘did that car fart?’ The F type is in a different space. It’s nice, it’s a great sports car. It goes, but the power lags. It’s kind of an entry level ‘I’ve made its car. The interior feels a little cheap, infotainment is weak. The jag is a well dressed slightly caddish guy going out for a pint. The 63 is an axe murderer. It’s brutal. If you parked your F type next to it at the pub you’d come back and find it chopped up in black plastic bags in the 63’s trunk.

Of course you would, because it’s what you know and love. However there is simply no comparison when you are in the 63. It pulls and pulls and pulls and the 4matic lets you put the horses on the road. Check out the 55. You may even get lucky and find a dealer with a 63 to test drive. It’s a little higher in price range than the F type. The cabin is far more spacious and you can actually carry luggage. I ditched the F partly because it’s a garage princess. The trunk is non existent, You can’t use if for a daily drive and it isn’t useful as a weekend getaway. It’s pretty for sure and compares well against the cars in its class, a Cayman or a Corvette. But at the end of the day it’s a weekend runaround.
I hate that I have to take my gloves off to operate my car because it’s an ipad controlling everything instead of physical buttons. So cheap feeling. Mercedes Benz feels like a Gen Z company at this point, the new e-class is marketed as “having angry birds”???

@@hazee_01 the Carrera 4 GTS is probably the closest pricewise. Loaded up they land around the same price. Are close on speed. That’s all they have in common. The Porsche is . . . . Just like every other carrera you see. And you see a lot of them (although Porsche mostly seem to make SUVs these days). It has that zippy whine of a flat 6. It’s fun,cute and commonplace. Everyone knows it’s a $200k car. It is the safe ‘I’ve really made its option. Or maybe it just says mid life crisis. The AMG growls and pops. You hear it before you really see it, then you wonder ‘WTF is that?’ It always gets a front spot with the valet, unless they have a bevy of McLaren’s and Ferrari’s in. It says ‘go on. Ask me why’. Rather than ‘nice Porsche’ the most common comment is ‘what is that?’ So for rarity and wow factor the AMG is by far the choice. I don’t think they are really exotic per se. One is a fine piece of German engineering. The other is an axe murderer.

AMG took some design cues from the 911
Its a better designed 911. Better utility and ergonomics, with the hatch back trunk. The only mistake Mercedes made, was not designing it like this from the beginning in 2014.

At 200k, this car should be the best of the best in its class which it is not by miles….
It is if your world isn't limited to a couple of tenths at the 1/4 mile.
