Chat was right, Edgar is the most OP ship in the game when it comes to collecting ribbons...well...not just when it comes to ribbons but in general but that is besides the point.

For those of us players who do not have superships, I'd recommend trying the West Virginia '44 for ribbons. Those high rate of fire secondaries add up quick.
The Atlanta is another one that runs it up. HE spammer extraordinaire.
the problem with the WV '44 is that the ship is slow as hell, and it's really hard to get into secondary range, that why i use the sharnhorst '43
@@dther6314 It's slow indeed, so you have to decide where you want to go right off the bat. Sharnie is very good too.
If I want ribbons, I take out a secondary spec’d German BB. If it’s possible, in operations.
Schlieffen is the way 👍
for anything other than dockyard missions, absolutely. the only issue is they all blow up before you can do anything to them (unless you get narai and charge at the missouri, ranger then north east where all the final ships)
I take the sherman or the fiji. Mino works as well.
this... schlieffen and the asymetric battles are the way to go. Just run in the middle of enemies and have both of your sides firing at max power... easily get 1000 hits per match
@@Matthew10950 sherman relies off spotting and is kinda fragile (her size makes her eat damage) but div up with another DD or a CV and you’re set. i’ve easily got 400 shell hits a game minimum
I use Colbert and Smolensk for ribbons farming. Works fine for me, have several games with above 1K ribbons
I remember watching a game, in which Graf Zeppelin had about 1500 secondary hits. It was in 3-division though.
Short volleys seem to be common all of a sudden.
Oh but there's definitely no aim bug in the game, wargaming said so themselves!
yYep a good team of kill securers there. Never want the other ships to get another shot off when they can die faster.
i always bring up the sharnhorst '43 when i need ribbons (easy way), or Marceau
i always used schlieffen for the ribbon missions but you need a good match where you can push
my 'go to' ship for ribbons is Kitakaze. (honorable mention to Colbert and Edgar).

Flambass gets 220 in less than 10 minutes.
Also I feel for that Mino. I’d be like I’m pretty decent at blind firing, the Flambass sees some shots and is like “oh you WANT to die now.” 🤣

I think if you'd held off on your burst fire on any of the last 3 hope to kills you may have just got 1 of them or got 7, Flammy . . . as even with Edgars great hit rates - you just never know if you'll sink it while waiting for your reload . . . especially if others are also shooting at it, too, m8 - so, you might have just nicked one of them from them . . .

@@Flambass Well if you didnt burst the Colombo and having the long reload after, you could have knicked the Haku. But then again its just me armchair generaling here after the fact...

That opening volley on the mino using the F key. There's a bug with the F key - the spell activates and deactivates with the button press. What this means is when you shoot with the F key active - the shells get the +50% damage and +100% penetration (for Edgar). But cancelling the F key before those shells land takes the spell off those shells, wasting the extra damage and penetration.
Flambino cancelled the F key before the shells landed, meaning the Mino lived.
I note this video is 2 months old, maybe before the Chinese players who found the bug had reported it. But Flamu did a video proving the bug exists in a training room after the Chinese players reported it.

Well Edgar has normal AP instead of short fuse..other than that it's completely busted
I use Smolensk for ribbons. But that is because I don't have Edgar, Harugumo, Colbert. 658 ribbons in one game is pretty good.
Nice video and I really like the EDGAR , don't have it, I have one supership and find it costs to much to run.

For ribbons I'd go german brawler BB with secondary spec, if I want to be safe - else Harugumo, Kitakaze or Akizuki for max DAKKA...
Those british cruisers are an option, too - but those are way to vulnerable.

My ribbon record is over 900 main battery hits in the harugumo with Yamamoto kraken buff. Still like the other guy said secondary bb super easy to farm ribbons too.
vampire 2 best dd for farming got over 650 hit ribbons in a match
My goto for ribbons is Smolensk, but sometimes I use Friesland, Benham or a secondary build German BB. The Pan-Asian tier 9 and 10 cruisers are also good for ribbons. Basically any cruiser or DD with a reload of 5 seconds or less works, if it has a smokescreen even better.
Love that opening air attack, 2 amazing aa cruisers... still smacks the DM for a good chunk of damage.

Why did you not fire at the CV?
The armoured flight deck would shatter or ricochet all the shells. Waiting for a bit less angle probably. Still, I wondered the same.
