love that the ohio watched his destroyers evaporate and immediately concluded this was not going to be his game.
I gotta hand it to him, he went down fighting. He was able to dodge most torpedoes headed his way, did his best to kite and disengage, and scored some blind fire hits. I hope he had a better game afterward.
Props to his manipulation of language. I haven't heard somebody get called an "amoeba" in quite some time, and it is an exquisitely non-vulgar insult.

I was in Austin a match before, so it was my turn for smoke assist, and couldn't believe my eyes when they walked into a smoke not knowing what lurked inside. Busting up laughing. Easily one of the better games I've had in ships lately. Great game, GG's.

@@JLewisRacing927 I chose Plymouth over Austin, as I enjoyed Minotaur and Belfast '43. Had a clanmate with Austin who found it suffered a lot when you couldn't bring someone to spot for you. That said the absolute power of dakka is hilarious in action.

I have two different reactions to seeing divisions in the team line up.
If it's on the enemy team I wonder 'why have those ships teamed up?'
If they're on my team it's more like 'why have THOSE ships teamed up?!'
In most cases it's clan mates or friends teaming up!
I stopped playing personally but I do still enjoy replays. a guy I mod for on twitch and I, used to team up with another friend and occasionally run triple pommern divs. or two poms and a DD. very entertaining when an enemy cruiser, KNOWING we were there, still came around the island broadside to us. Thaaaat was a mistake

That is pretty much the motto of an Austin, "My guns go BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRT!". At lest that Ohio was a good sport about it all, and i agree with him.
The first time getting a double strike on destroyers and escorting an Ohio that was then killed by someone else was funny, but it happening again almost 1:1 in the same game really elevated the experience

I played this stuff for three years straight before my disgust overcame the addiction, mostly due to submarines and new CVs.
Exactly one year ago I literally destroyed an account with over a hundred tier ships and all premium ships obtainable without paying. Sometimes I feel like playing it again, so I enjoy a WOWs video of the old Jingles. It's a foolproof way to confirm my decision, like a sobriety coin.

The smoke/spotting pairing is well-timed and capitalizes on each ship's capabilities; a mark of teamwork and communication. The speed with which our hero switches from the first DD to the second DD is a mark of situational awareness and skill borne of disciplined experience. The div's DD sacrifice is appropriate to distract the enemy BB. Well-deserved results for a well-paired and disciplined division.
Austin with MRB is like driving an A-10 *brrrrrrt* ded, you bring a DD for company its like getting air cover

People not taking the time to know which ships are a real danger, bogles my mind. They often ignore the fast-reloading light cruisers and it's a just a pain to watch. Often many of those vessels just yolo in without a care in the world and don't get punished for it. Got to take priorities when there are ships like the Austin, like the Des Moines, like so many others along with destroyers.

To be fair to the Napoli... he just watched every other member of his team in that area get utterly spanked. Getting the F out of there before he joined them probably seemed like a good idea. He had no way of knowing that if he'd hid there for a minute, the other team would just abandon the area en-mass rather than hunting him down.

Great Game except for the Newbie Sub player, doesn't he know that homing torps, can sink a pinged sub faster than a surface ship, no matter how deep she dives. I recently ran 2 torps up the butt of a submerged & fleeing enemy sub, down she went to Davy Jones' locker!

I have been playing for 5 years, and still learn something new when I pay attention, but i learn more by watching Jingles and other streamers and hope to get even 1/2 as good as what we just watched. Hope to see some of you in this new season of clan battles, GLHF.

This is the most I've laughed in a long, long time. OMG. Brrrt indeed.
The subject of watching the team list reminded me of a game my brother and I played awhile back on Legends that I sadly don't think I got around to uploading before the console got bricked and all the data was lost.
9v9 because Legends. Each team was 5 destroyers, 3 cruisers and a battleship.
The enemy Leander was probably starry eyed with wonder at seeing a battle full of destroyers to monch on, and likely assumed the battleship would hang back due to the sheer number of torpedo threats like their Sinop was.
But our battleship was my Lyon, and my brother was a top notch stealth destroyer player in our Akatsuki. So I decided right from looking at the team list to put myself wherever my brother said the enemy destroyers wouldn't want a battleship.
Which turned out to be so close I was almost flat shooting when the enemy Leander came around the corner into the channel the destroyers were all fighting over to lend a hand.

Seeing potato get the 2 double strikes makes me wish I had some recording software or a replay feature in legends when I had a match where I got a Kraken AND a double strike, in a Shima though, total stroke of luck.

I keep seeing more and more modern ships. The Austin has postwar Mark 42 5"/54 caliber gun turrets. Will we see guided missiles added to the game?

I am very close to having enough to get my first steel ship and Austin is square in my sights as a cruiser main and big fan of light cruisers in particular. I've done the US CL line 3 times and the Italian cruiser line 3 times now and got Colbert and Ohio for my efforts.
Actually Jingles Emery is a word. It refers to a fine-grain of impure Corondium used for grinding or polishing metal.
I love it, I *love* how the Ohio found a way to blame the DDs. Even as I watched it go down, I knew someone on the enemy team would be complaining that it was their DDs fault. Had the DDs not sailed into the cap: "GD DDs aren't capping!" Had they not persecuted the Somers: "GD DDs aren't spotting!" Classic WoWs. No idea why anyone bothers to keep playing the class.
I don't play at all anymore but DD's were and still are my first love. BB's are my second becuase it's fun, with the US BB line..to reach out and touch someone at almost 30km.
Those first two DDs were immensely stupid, though.
@@ScottKenny1978 as DD's we know we outspot everything except another DD. depending on what we are running. I tend to run my IJN boats as area denial torp boats with TRB so I spam and scram

Used to do smoke mod gearing with 2 worcesters back when that was considered to be good firepower, it worked insanely well
