Non-Buddhists don’t go the Hell just for being non-Buddhists. That’s nowhere in the religion. Buddha was actually quite clear that people will encounter other religious teachings which will also help lead them in the right direction.

"Hell" can be said to be living with the absence of God in your heart/mindset (attachment to materiality) "Heaven" can be said to be living with the presence of God in your heart/mindset (detachment from materiality) It's why God said "have no other gods BEFORE me." Christianity has always understood the validity of all other religions (at least on paper where any/all ideas are perfect concepts executed by humans, imperfect beings) as God has said that "we will make Man in our image" and it's not just the Royal "We" it's Elohim, multiple deities, but that is also why in Deuteronomy they made sure to emphasize that God is the God of gods. The thing is however, words/ideas/concepts are idols/gods/deities to be worshipped as well. How many tens of millions have died over the word "Communism"? How many lives worshipped "Money/Profit" as their central idol of worship? The instructions were clear, "Have no other idols BEFORE me." When you realize that all that God wants is simply the best/healthiest for yourself, you start treating yourself a little bit more carefully & respectfully when you live with God as the anchor/central focus/tenet in your life. If you live with any other tenet instead, you end up suffering sooner or later. I'd know, I've already went through quite a few different idols. Thankfully there is always Love/Forgiveness waiting for us at the end of whatever deluded hells our minds ended up conjuring.

It never says in the Buddhist transcripts that you’ll be in hell if you’re not Buddhists. The concept of Buddhism revolves around Karma and not your belief in the religion. You can be an atheist and still go to heaven if you do enough good deeds throughout your life and vice versa you can be a respected monk and go to hell. Good video tho

Dukkha is not just "suffering," it's dissatisfaction. Mara isn't the "Buddhist Devil" because he craves wealth and comfort and power and ease, it's because to Mara, that is contentment. That contentment is a lie. If you spend your life in pursuit of such things, when will enough be enough? When do you draw the line? Is there a bank balance high enough or a house big enough that you would say "Hey, I'm good. I'm content"? For most humans, the answer is no. You grind to get better and better and what does it get you? The new model's out, the new version has this feature and that feature, let's upgrade, I can afford it" until you can't. Because it never ends up being about the goal, it becomes about the chase. There's nothing wrong with making money, but it's Buddhist to spend wisely and donate generously. Live comfortably, but be giving and compassionate. This is what the Buddhas and Boddhisattvas teach. The middle way.

In my opinion, mara and buddah are 2 extremes on a scale that can both quickly turn evil based on how their view is applied. It boils down to a "why?" on both ends, if you seek enlightenment or attachments for selfish or prideful purposes, then regardless, it becomes a vice. In the end, i think the best place to be is where we're at. We as humans stand right in the middle and have the freedom to choose which side of the wheel we feel like going towards. Yes, there is suffering, but without suffering, our lives become almost pointless as it is often pain and misfortune that ultimately pushes us to become better than we are now. In essence no matter which side you choose you'll always want to go to the other one once you get there, as a man who has everything often wishes for the simplicity of nothing and the man who has nothing often thinks of how to gain everything. Thats why its a wheel because it will always keep spinning.

Yo, so I think “life is suffering” isn’t just like…poverty, war, death, etc. I think it’s like, also the little discomforts in life. The fact that you get hungry, a little itch that pops up right when you get comfortable, and how you can’t ever make anything perfect. Like, little intrinsic human agitations that pop up. Like, no matter how good you’re doing, there’s always something (however small) you want to fix/improve. I’m no Buddhist, but I do see a lot of truth to the idea that the human experience constitutes an endless cycle of suffering…in this way. However great or small. Just a thought. Really loved the ending. Its definitely a lot to ponder upon. When things happen, the person is given a choice to do the right thing or the easy thing. And I think these choices build or destroy a person (in terms of karma points too). And in turn these choices affect others too (like for world peace and etc). But Idk what do yall think?
I don’t think Buddhism says life is only suffering and that’s it. It also notices that life is full of joyous moments too, but that living brings inevitable suffering. Suffering being anything that can make you feel bad, even little things. Having attachments to these things and attaching meanings to these things can cause suffering and craving. These attachments can also affect our ego which can cause suffering so there’s an idea of not being attached to the ego either. To live in the present moment. There’s more to it but that’s how I see, and what I’ve experienced, with the attachment stuff

You're forgetting that there is a seventh realm: The Pure Lands. Anyone who has sincerely Bodhichitta, or a wish that all beings transcend suffering, and it is sincere within them, they can call to the celestial Buddha Amitabha and he will let them be reborn into his Pure Lands, and when there a being will be able to achieve Buddhahood.
There’s no thing such as hell in Buddhism. You are your own hell, when you die you see a reflection of your own self (demons being a representations of your aspects).
Life it self is not suffering but our desire for things or events to play out a certain way are what causes and perpetuates our own suffering. Desire is not a prerequisite to enjoyment but rather a self imposed road block to living in the current moment and when you try to hold on to something be it a person or experience you separate it from your self. As for the anti Buddha Mara I suggest reading Recorked of Ragnarok Vol 11-13, it explains that we can not heal others by taking away their pain if it is self inflicted as they can only learn their lessons in their own time. That's not to say we shouldn't help people but if we interfere to much we impede them on their own path. from discovering their own own inherent Dharma or nature the truest expression of themselves but that can only be discovered by the individual having the experience.

The name of the demons (asura) are related to the Norse word for one of two sets of gods - Aser. Both Asura and Aser live somewhere close to the world tree as well.

These ideas are typically Theravada which is often different and some might feel strange in comparison to the more common and popular Mahayana. Mahayana holds the view that just like in life here, in hell people torture each other. You can only get there if you do this in life and it will happen to you in hell. Being a Buddhist will not prevent you from getting there nor will the opposite lead you there. Buddhists can be cruel and non-Buddhists can be kind. This all is fixed by Karma as you said and Karma is not good simply because you think or believe you are a Buddhist. I am not saying that these Theravada ideas are wrong or insufficient, but less widespread and I feel less reasonable. I feel it is also good to mention that these six realms are mainly connected to feelings. Anger and hatred will lead to hell etc. If you or anyone chooses to focus on these rules, it is absolutely alright, of course. It is absolutely useful though to understand the Mahayana rules, too. Many people find them less estranging. (Regarding animals, have you seen the new pig-farming towers in China? In particular today many, many animals live in constant agony. There are not too many free-roaming gorillas anymore). The main argument for not wanting the Asura (also demi-gods) but the human realm is that only in the human realm you can reach enlightenment. All of this is always a private choice of what you like or enjoy. But enlightenment is considered as a joy and happiness so immensely higher than anything else that all else seems nothing in comparison.

Yo, so I think “life is suffering” isn’t just like…poverty, war, death, etc. I think it’s like, also the little discomforts in life. The fact that you get hungry, a little itch that pops up right when you get comfortable, and how you can’t ever make anything perfect. Like, little intrinsic human agitations that pop up. Like, no matter how good you’re doing, there’s always something (however small) you want to fix/improve.
I’m no Buddhist, but I do see a lot of truth to the idea that the human experience constitutes an endless cycle of suffering…in this way. However great or small.
Just a thought.

Really loved the ending. Its definitely a lot to ponder upon. When things happen, the person is given a choice to do the right thing or the easy thing. And I think these choices build or destroy a person (in terms of karma points too). And in turn these choices affect others too (like for world peace and etc). But Idk what do yall think?
I don’t think Buddhism says life is only suffering and that’s it. It also notices that life is full of joyous moments too, but that living brings inevitable suffering. Suffering being anything that can make you feel bad, even little things. Having attachments to these things and attaching meanings to these things can cause suffering and craving. These attachments can also affect our ego which can cause suffering so there’s an idea of not being attached to the ego either. To live in the present moment. There’s more to it but that’s how I see, and what I’ve experienced, with the attachment stuff

Anyone who has sincerely Bodhichitta, or a wish that all beings transcend suffering, and it is sincere within them, they can call to the celestial Buddha Amitabha and he will let them be reborn into his Pure Lands, and when there a being will be able to achieve Buddhahood.

There’s no thing such as hell in Buddhism. You are your own hell, when you die you see a reflection of your own self (demons being a representations of your aspects).

Life it self is not suffering but our desire for things or events to play out a certain way are what causes and perpetuates our own suffering. Desire is not a prerequisite to enjoyment but rather a self imposed road block to living in the current moment and when you try to hold on to something be it a person or experience you separate it from your self. As for the anti Buddha Mara I suggest reading Recorked of Ragnarok Vol 11-13, it explains that we can not heal others by taking away their pain if it is self inflicted as they can only learn their lessons in their own time. That's not to say we shouldn't help people but if we interfere to much we impede them on their own path. from discovering their own own inherent Dharma or nature the truest expression of themselves but that can only be discovered by the individual having the experience.

The name of the demons (asura) are related to the Norse word for one of two sets of gods - Aser. Both Asura and Aser live somewhere close to the world tree as well.

These ideas are typically Theravada which is often different and some might feel strange in comparison to the more common and popular Mahayana. Mahayana holds the view that just like in life here, in hell people torture each other. You can only get there if you do this in life and it will happen to you in hell. Being a Buddhist will not prevent you from getting there nor will the opposite lead you there. Buddhists can be cruel and non-Buddhists can be kind. This all is fixed by Karma as you said and Karma is not good simply because you think or believe you are a Buddhist. I am not saying that these Theravada ideas are wrong or insufficient, but less widespread and I feel less reasonable. I feel it is also good to mention that these six realms are mainly connected to feelings. Anger and hatred will lead to hell etc. If you or anyone chooses to focus on these rules, it is absolutely alright, of course. It is absolutely useful though to understand the Mahayana rules, too. Many people find them less estranging. (Regarding animals, have you seen the new pig-farming towers in China? In particular today many, many animals live in constant agony. There are not too many free-roaming gorillas anymore). The main argument for not wanting the Asura (also demi-gods) but the human realm is that only in the human realm you can reach enlightenment. All of this is always a private choice of what you like or enjoy. But enlightenment is considered as a joy and happiness so immensely higher than anything else that all else seems nothing in comparison.
