Best part about your work is that: even with the paintings...your narration doesn't make it like a movie. It still gives rooms for imagination and so we picture the rest vividly in our minds
I didn't realize that you also do the paintings . I'm dead impressed as you are clearly quite talented and prolific to create them as well as researching, writing, recording, editing...

One wonders whether Odysseus was originally a hero of his own story (his Odyssey) who was later incorporated into the Greek ranks in the Trojan War. Kind of like Heracles showing up (and then conveniently exiting, before his presence would greatly alter the story) on the Argo. Wouldn't surprise me!
the art is pretty cool good use of ai. The jokes are nice, Also the pronunciation is something I haven't heard much from other tubers. kurkey had me questioning my knowledge of folklore.
The ending is straight up depressing. Never heard it before as I remember studying the odyssey in middle school, was greek mythology the first ever corn? Can't wait as you'l dive next into japanese culture.
Hello @briefed. Excellent video as always. There is also an alternate "what if" scenario regarding Odysseus, but not Greek mythology related. This scenario is very much related to one, if not THE ONE, Italian literary masterpiece, Dante's "Divine Comedy". In the Divine Comedy, Dante, the writer and main character of the book, finds himself traveling through the realm of Hell (the Christian medieval version). During his journey, he encounters the souls of fraudulent advisors, among whom is Odysseus with Diomedes. Dante is intrigued to meet Odysseus and asks him to narrate his life after the Odyssey. In his narration, Odysseus explains that he died while exploring beyond the Strait of Gibraltar, seeking knowledge and adventure. This dialogue is truly one of the best pieces of dialogue you can ever read. I invite you to read it. Also, the Divine Comedy could be a spinoff for your channel in the future, as there are a few characters present from mythology. On a side note, you have not pointed out that while sailing close to the Sirens, the crew of Odysseus had wax earplugs, but not Odysseus himself. He was so curious to hear the Sirens' song that he tied himself to the ship in order to do so.
With an awesome video, yet again! Gutted that you didn't reply to my last comment on that other video, but I'm still watching...while being literally friendzoned by a youtube video.

Great video, superb work. Please consider doing videos on Lives of Plutarch. You are doing excellent work keeping Classics alive. Thank you and sending you Great Power.
In short, telling the story of Odysseus with only the Trojan War would be like the Skywalker Saga told only with the Star War prequels, ending with Return Of The Jedi would be like ending with Odysseus's triumphant return home...and the Telegony is like the Star Wars sequel trilogy, ending with most everyone dead. Got it!
This story of the odesseus bow is kind of similar to what prince ram did in sita's swayamvar. There are a lot of similarities which I see in Greek mythology and hindu mythology. Like zeus and indra being the king of gods throwing thunderbolts etc.
