🧚🏻 Sweet peas can be sown anytime between October and March
GERMINATION
🧚🏻 Your seeds will germinate within 7 to 15 days at temperature 13º to 18º

🧚🏻 I soaked my seeds for about 24 h before planting.
🧚🏻 Sweet peas performs best if their roots are forced to grow in a deep, narrow channel and toilet rolls are not only a very environmentally friendly solution, but also have a perfect size and shape to be used for sowing your seeds.
🧚🏻 I always sow two sweet pea seeds to a roll.
🧚🏻 I plant them about 1cm deep, cover with compost, water well and place them on a sunny windowsill or in a greenhouse until my seeds germinate.
WHAT TO DO WHEN SEEDLINGS APPEARS
🧚🏻 Once your seedlings appear, they need to be STORED COOL AT ABOUT 5 ºC
🧚🏻 Providing cooler conditions promotes root and not stem growth.
🧚🏻 A cold, but frost fee greenhouse or a shed is ideal.

WHAT ARE ‘MODERN GRANDIFLORAS’?
🌸 ‘Modern Grandiflora’ features larger petal sizes and longer stem lengths.
🌸 They also smell as strong as the classics.

I've had mine in water for 24 hrs, but I think I'll leave them until I get little roots like yours have. Then into the loo rolls by a window, which might be a bit higher than 18, maybe 19. I hope that's ok. Can't wait to see where you grow yours later on! Thank you for such a easy to follow video.
Super! I have just subscribed and also follow your Instagram - you really are great at describing and explaining! I have a couple of questions about the sweet peas - (1) If I sow the seeds indoors now, when would they be ready to plant outside? (2) I have some pods with seeds in from some existing sweet peas (rather than in a packet) - should I dry these first?
Oh lovely.Thank you for your kind words. Well, we are starting our sweet peas indoors, but as soon as your seedlings appear, they need to be moved to a cooler place and get maximum light. They can be planted next year around April. As for your own seeds, sweet peas does not come true to type, so it’s up to you. You can collect some seeds and enjoy the surprise 🥰

How exciting! I used to have allotment. Once a week or so. Just make sure it’s not overwatered
