Hi there; just adding info; C8L uses 6v led, boost driver, have good efficiency(tested), better heat dissipation, preferable for heavier task that requires long battery life. no parasitic drain(mechanical tailswitch). c8 size. good beam for its purposes, outdoor and tactical. SC18 uses 3v led, uses non regulated FET driver, brightness drop as the cells depleted. easy carry. good beam for its size. there'll be parasitic drain, but you'll not noticing since you'll charge it often. for daily use; i use both lights mostly on Low ( even Eco on sc18). both have direct access to turbo for situation under stress. conclusion: GET BOTH OF THEM! such good value! 😊 Thanks,Good video. Cheers!😊
Thanks for the video!! I can see where you're coming from. I think these lights are for very different use cases. Yes if you're not needing the higher modes / spotlight / wider brightness, the smaller one will do. Personally I have different lights for different tasks, often carried at the same time (e.g. a pocket light, a keychain light, a headlamp). I disagree on the eco brightness mode, because I find it's a very useful brightness, on any light. Yes it is a big torch but hey if that's all you have and you want / need low light, its nice to have that at your disposal.
Yeah it makes sense to have an eco mode - I suppose for me I wish it weren't part of the main mode toggles and was a press and hold or something. That way I have it if I need it, but am not scrolling through so many low modes when I don't need it. (Sort of like turbo mode is often a double press on lights and not part of the main rotation.) Anyway, I always appreciate the comments and perspectives of others in the flashlight hobby! Thanks for watching.

C8l led 6v ??
Nice review
Oh man, wait till you try a Lumintop fw1aa and then you'll see how far more it can throw a light half the size of the sc18!
Wow - awesome! I'll look into that.
Thanks for the video!!
