Actually would love to see a video on disputing charges to credit cards. It's such a hit and miss thing that can be very difficult to navigate. I had a dispute with Expedia over a hotel booking where AFTER I put all my card info, there was suddenly a nonrefundable $300 fee that got added and no one from the hotel could explain what it was or anything. So my $600 booking went to a $900 charge onto my card. Months later and screenshots of the nonstop texts I recieved from the hotel, I got my money back, but I'm still not sure how I managed it. It ruined my trip and caused me a great deal of distress. I think I cried for a month straight because I thought I was financially ruined.
Fun fact: A company saying "All sales are final" or "No refunds" doesn't actually excuse them from their obligations or consumer protection laws. If they don't provide the service promised, you are 100% entitled to a refund.
Look up that story of the wedding photography company that refused to refund a man after his soon to be wife died horrifically in a car accident, and they told him they hope he cries all day on his wedding day when he tried asking for one, can't remember the name but it was big news
@@asmrtpop2676 fraud departments will do their due diligence in determining whether you will be reimbursed regardless of what you tell them. As I said, my charge was for a hotel booking that wasn't open on the dates of my booking. They refused to answer my calls and then the company I bought from went bankrupt and literally disappeared. The bank still chose to not return my money because they claimed my purchase was final sale at the time of purchase.
@@TheSuperNintenderps I think people assume you write the cost from it through your taxes so like that money is gonna be directly deducted from your taxes and work like a refund, ignoring tax brackets and all that. Hi! Thank you for mentioning my video! I just put out another one on the 29th of September regarding my "refund". I find it very strange they didn't offer you a refund because they did for me, though it was only after my unboxing videos were posted and it did take me 8 months to ever get any money from them. Im so sorry that you had to go through this frustration!
Thank you to guy guys for talking about this subject! This company is shady AF but hopefully you will have discouraged others from falling foul to the their scam
Oh my gosh two of my favorite people on TY have watched each other's videos. 🤩 I love supporting both of you and I've been watching you both for years! ❤❤❤❤
The subscription box model might not be scalable, but they're moving to a payment-only system where you always pay but never receive goods or service. Thanks for sharing!
Their FAQ and Terms & Conditions both say all sales are final, however, that's only for boxes that have shipped. Them telling you you can't get a refund for the two boxes that have yet to ship is false. You absolutely can get your money back because they have yet to ship these boxes out.
YESSSSS This comment needs more likes. I was thinking the same thing. I'm from a different country so not exactly sure how that works in the US. But customers have rights that is absolutely illegal to do here and it might be in California as well. You can cancel your order at any time if you haven't received the products especially since they haven't shipped it yet and told you that. Otherwise everyone would do it. Instead of scamming people which is illegal, they would just delay shipping products forever and tell you "well we can't give you your money back because it says in our terms of conditions all sales are final" and get away with it no problem. So much more people would do it.
Now, I haven’t actually read their FAQ, but generally “no refunds” means “even if you are not satisfied with your product or service you will not receive your money back” not “once we have your money it’s ours forever, even if we never actually give you the product”.
@@estherstreet4582 I'm leaning towards this is actual people using copy paste messages and delivering to some people but ignoring most. Because some people are getting the products.
i don’t think it IS on you. for example: forever 21’s clearance items cannot be returned and all sales are final. i am aware of this. but if i went to the store, purchased clearance items, paid my money, and the cashier held my items and wouldn’t give them to me and refused to tell me why or where she put them, “all sales are final” is not a valid defense for the fact that i didn’t get items that i already paid for. i hope you do end up doing a chargeback. because it’s not as if you got the items and just didn’t like them.
@@guardianoftheduat look up consumer protection laws. Stop simping for businesses that break laws. No refunds doesn’t mean “we can sell you something that’s broken and you can’t do anything about it lol”
Disputing with your bank is the right way to go. If you can, you may want to get something from them stating they have not sent anything at all and a breakdown of the charges, like $150 to box X and $150 to box y. Just to have 1005 proof they did not provide any items. Additionally, have your bank block them on your card. They may say they have stopped charging on their side, but there is no guarantee and I've seen places play the oh we canceled it for you and then charge as they can.
that’s what alexandria ryan had to do. she had to start a dispute with paypal (which is how she paid) to get her money back. she got a partial refund more than nine months after she was told her full refund was on its way
I'm glad you went to your bank about it, bc even if it's in their FAQs, oui please still basically took your money and ran, and that goes beyond whatever terms and conditions you agreed to about refundability or lack thereof
I work for a bank and highly recommend going to your bank and filing a dispute if you do not receive merchandise. At that point it is a breach of the agreement between you and the merchant regardless of any policy they may have. Also, leaving reviews for other customers on trust pilot and similar sites is important too.
From a person who used to work in customer service for a bank: file a dispute ASAP! There’s usually a time limit on when they can credit you back depending on how you paid, and you can file a dispute no matter what. I hope you get your money back! This shady company sounds like they know what they’re doing dragging their shipping past the refund limits.
Wow, i've followed Alexandria's oui please rollercoaster and this was just as infuriating in different ways. I genuinely think she's right in the follow up she posted yesterday that she only got a resolution because they knew she had a platform to air her greviences with them. The fact that they sent you multiple copy/paste emails and had the nerve to say feel free to reach out with further questions shows they don't give a shit about the average person.
I feel like the FAQ "all sales are final" thing had to have been added recently or after all the controversy since that wasn't brought up to Alexandria Ryan in any of the emails she showed....fishy 🤔
@@cjwoodable oh, didn't even think to check that way! Weird that they didn't seem to bring it up as an issue when Alexandria asked for a refund though. Crappy indeed
A « all sales are final » cannot be applied on a subscription box if the box was never sent. It's likely in the FAQ because, once you receive your box, now it would be final, meaning you can't exchange the product or want a refund if you're unhappy with it. The only subscription model where a no refund on service can be given is if the subscription is, in itself, a coupon applicable on a future purchase limited to a certain period, ie a month.
I watched Alexandria’s video yesterday and I’m so mad for you two. You can’t take someone’s money, not deliver the products, and then claim “oh lol sorry no refunds!” That’s literal THEFT. I smell a lawsuit brewing… I hope you get your money back and I hope no one else falls prey to this horrible company.
It's interesting that they state they won't provide refunds, because on BBB all of the responses to the (many) complaints are, after the ones complaining about Covid, that they would be happy to provide refunds. They then claim the only reason they haven't provided refunds in a timely manner is because of an influx of refund requests in May (even though some of the complaints are from as early as Feb). In many cases it looks like only partial refunds are being provided and then since May, no complaints have been answered. Horrible business. If they can't fulfill the subscriptions for whatever reason, they need to stop taking people's money.
It sounds like they've gone into full Ponzi scheme mode. They took in a bunch of orders, could not fill them, but had expenses to keep up with, so they took in more orders, still couldn't fulfill the first ones, and so on. Not a justification, of course. The legal thing to do is to never accept money that you can't afford to give back.
From the email, it sounds like they purposely make the bag portion of the website to be glitched and you can't make your selection and then forget about it and just send you into a loop. Especially because they keep confirming your bag selection in almost every email
"All sales are final" Sale = money in exchange for a product or service. You received no product or service. So you are entitled to get your money back.
Lol this is 100% not your fault. When a company’s FAQ page says that “all sales are final,” that assumes you actually receive the dang product you paid for!! They can’t continue to charge you and not send you anything! 🤦🏻♀️
You're definitely right to do a charge back with your card issuer! They did not provide you with the product as advertised, in other words, they defrauded you! A "no refunds" policy does not apply in that case!
I feel you on the patience thing. I recently lost a close friend to covid and I'm sick of ignorant people who think they know more than the whole of the scientific community.
So sorry for your loss. My sister in law has been in and out of the hospital with covid despite being fully vaccinated. She's a teacher so it's pretty evident that her school district isn't being strict about closing/cleaning/contact tracing, and likely got it from one of her students. The school itself is one where all children are old enough to qualify for vaccination. The covid itself hasn't been terrible for her (due to being vaxxed), but she developed pneumonia as a secondary factor. It's terrible that people in the world and in close communities are still so unwilling to help protect each other.
@@liz_loves_cats thank you, and I'm so sorry to hear that. I have a couple friends who are teachers and from what I've heard it's like that where they are too. It's only "the whole of the scientific community" if you ignore those you disagree with and over-value sensationalizing politicians and media. Everyone knows science is set in stone and definitively proves things. Numerous individuals, even those who may comprise the majority, of a large scientific body have never been wrong or led the populace astray, intentionally or otherwise. You can definitely take them at their word. Plus, I'm sure you've read the studies anyways. Right? Those are always reliable, are peer-reviewed, and are presented and performed without bias. Ignore tobacco "studies," previous vaccine "studies," Tuskegee, AIDs/HIV, cannabis, and on and on... I almost forgot when they resubmitted the text of Mein Kampf, as well as other ludicrous texts (with only the replacement of a few words), and it was "peer-reviewed" and approved for publication by "the scientific community" in a scientific journal. No one is infallible and any skepticism has been more than well-earned. You display your own ignorance. This is all without me stating my opinion on the vaccine in question. The lot of you need to get off your high horses. Thought so shallow you couldn't drown in it. (That's less than an inch of water, for those who don't get it.)
This company has almost 200 complains at the Better Business Bureau about exactly the same issue. They’ve scammed thousands of customers. Those who have received their boxes also claim that the products are not French at all.
I have been watching Alexandria Ryan and seen her struggles with them. They only gave her 1/2 a box out of 3 I think? It also was trash (broken items, missing items) They also put her through the ringer to get a refund for the 2 completely missing boxes.
"No refunds" usually only applies to cases where you don't like the products. Most any reputable company that doesn't do refunds will still refund you if they *never send you the thing* or it gets lost in the mail or something.
Scammers always use "no refunds" as an attempt to protect themselves by hoping the consumer doesn't know their rights. A no refunds policy doesn't supersede consumer rights laws. "No refunds" for a store can mean stuff like change of mind or clothing doesn't fit, not for an item being broken, defective, falsely advertised or just not delivered at all!! If that happens contact your bank or whatever your countries relevant government/legal service is
I wish companies cared more. I worked for a company that rhymes with froogle and the system wasn't processing refunds. They wouldn't let us tell the customer the problem was on our end. Got yelled at for 2 months. It was horrible
The autocharging bs is why I always recommend signing up for these things with a "virtual credit card" like from Privacy or a prepaid debit card Load up the card / set a spending limit with as much as the first month will cost and let them try to charge the card a second time Of course this doesn't solve the other bad business practice of not sending you your first box, so... Maybe initiate a chargeback with your bank?
A sale is a contract, so them not sending the stuff in the time agreed is still a breach of contract. I hope you can retrieve the money through the bank because it sounds like they're never going to deliver

I have tried a single subscription box, and I ended up having to file for a chargeback. I've watched your reviews but I've honestly been nervous ever since that happened. It was a totally different box and I don't even remember the specific name as it was years ago but I'll leave my story bellow in case anyone is interested. It was a period box, and I was going to be moving soon for university and I thought it might be good for me while I was away from home. It had all these options, Gender Neutral, Kosher, halal, scent-free, nut-free etc. I have pretty sever sensitivities to perfumed products so I ordered the scent-free one, I spent an extra few dollars for the scent-free option. I received my box and it was not scent free, I had an asthma attack opening the box. I messaged them and said, this is not the box I ordered I'm allergic to it, and I want either a scent-free one or a refund. They refunded the couple dollars for the scent-free option, told me they were no longer offering it because not enough people were buying it, but they don't offer returns because of the nature of the products. I replied that I would not have ordered the box at all if I had been informed they were no longer offering a scent free option as I was now allergic to the box entirely. I wanted a full refund, not just the amount for the scent-free option. I had checked the website and the scent-free option was still available (along with a bunch of others which all cost an additional amount and I have no idea how many actually were real options) They never replied to that. So I messaged my bank, including the entire transcript I had with support plus screenshots of the website and asked for a chargeback. They removed the listing of scent-free, only after my chargeback had been processed I don't know if it's coincidence or not, but it doesn't feel like one. No refunds or exchanges is not valid when the product is not delivered as advertised, no refunds or exchanges means if you get the product and it is how they said it would be but you're not happy with it, because you changed your mind or whatever, you can't send it back.
Just went to check their Instagram and they've turned off comments on most posts and the ones that still have comments have clearly had more than half deleted... Not a good look!
A lot of Alexandria's fans have been asking them if they were going to refund her, so they closed comments and deleted any that mentioned her. Then they just started doing it for other comments too.

I don't have bad experiences with anything I pay for because as soon as I don't receive the product I ask why and if they don't answer exactly what was asked in a timely manner I contact my bank. I don't play about money. You can't just hold $300 for no reason. I don't like that

I had an annoying situation with a styling box recently. I only bought one box, not a subscription but it was still annoying. The jist was your fill out a style quiz and they send you 5 items, then you pay for what you want to keep. There was a styling fee which was supposed to be deducted form the price of the item(s) you keep, if you don't keep anything you loose the styling fee. There was a sale so i tired it. The quiz was pretty comprehensive, they asked a lot of questions, you could select the price bracket for items, and you could select what you didn't want to receive in the box. You could also leave notes for the stylists and i specifically wrote nothing sleeves, no mini skirts/dresses, no crop tops. In the styling quiz they asked about what prints you *don't* like, i selected everything except polka dots & stripes because I'm boring. So, they sent me 2 multicolor patterned tops, one an abstract mess and the other with a small rhombus pattern. One was sleeves, both of them the polyester atrocity your (and my) grandma wears to church. There was also a mini dress, a pair of jeans and a pair of red office pants. So i knew from the start the tops were going back, the dress was blah and too expensive, the jeans were too long and were already hemmed and looked bad double hemmed, also too expensive, but the office pants were ok and reasonably priced so I wanted to keep those. I went to the site to finalize the order, i logged in and it didn't show any orders. I tried to log in & out several times, but my order just did not show up, than I reached out to customer support, they had a chat function. I talked to them for 2 days why the order doesn't show up in my account so i can finalize it. It turned out they messed something up with my email address. They fixed it and said it should show up. It did, so i wanted to finalize the order and pay for the red office pants. I got to card details, filled everything in, then the site told me that card address and name had to be filled out. THERE WAS NO FILED ANYWHERE TO FILL IT OUT. I tired again, then went to my account details, maybe i had to fill out something there, nope. I got tired and went to sleep. The next day i tried paying again, and it said it could charge my card for some reason. I had money on the card. So i got fed up and said screw the red office pants, and selected to return everything. I lost about $10, 5 years of my life out of frustration and 200 brain cells. I didn't reach out to support again because i was over it. Like at this point I'm sorry but if you can't make a website that works just don't bother.
maybe another thing you could do is report them to the Better Business Bureau? Something my high school finance teacher brought up once, I'm not sure.....
Do NOT let them keep your money! Write to the AG of Texas, as that's where the business is based. That is one of the only ways people have been able to recover their funds. It is illegal, against FTC rules, they cannot keep your funds.
I feel you on the not letting you know about the delay. Even though it's kinda annoying when something is late, it's worse when you have no idea whats happened and if you put in the wrong address or what.
antivax sentiments have started to trigger a complete disassociative fugue state for me personally. edit: I wanted to add that the US postal service is scheduled to be gutted soon, so packages will be more expensive and take longer to arrive. Given the state of commerce and how much of it goes through the post service and the presence of COVID now seems an unbelievably bad time to dramatically strip back postal services. I hope this becomes a voter issue because we need to fund the postal service bad.
The post office was fucked when they were ordered to pre-pay FIFTY YEARS worth of pensions in a very short time. They went from solvent and stable to shaky since then, and what Dejoy did further damaged them. The post office may not be around much longer.
You should file a claim with the BBB! The FAQ says you get charged each time you should receive a box. Since you haven’t received a box, they are in violation of their own terms
This was not on you Amanda. No refunds doesn't mean "If we charge you and you don't get your products that just sucks dude" nah dude that's literally theft.
I bought a subscription box of snacks when I was in college. The box was supposed to come with something like “20+ different snacks” what I actually got was a few bags of chips, a couple gum packs, and some protein shakes. Most of the snacks were meh at best and a bunch contained dairy even though I selected the nondairy option because I’m lactose intolerant. The box was a “sample” where I paid a discounted rate and shipping. It was still too expensive, especially for what I received. I went to the website to stop my subscription before the next month charged. The way the website was set up, you couldn’t just select the option to stop, you had to email the support and they had to confirm it. If they didn’t send you a confirmation, you were not unsubscribed and would be charged for the next box. I sent multiple emails but they did not respond. As the end of the month approached I was starting to panic, thinking I would be caught paying for this shitty box. I emailed them stating that I would be submitting a complaint to the better business bureau as well as contesting any charges through my bank. And what do you know, they were suddenly responsive! Unsubscribed me with a very blunt email
There are no water bottles in my local grocery store, these shortages get crazier and crazier every day. My personal favorite was a shortage of DIGITAL COPIES of Final Fantasy XIV lol
I've done scrapbooking subscription boxes and aside from receiving products that I may or may not like/use I always ended up at least getting the box I'd paid for. And yeah, I'd dispute that with my CC so freakin' fast.
Ummmmm just my 3¢..... BUT..... I think you handled it just fine .. as anyone having to deal with this should be allowed or expected on how they handle it. So you shouldn't have to appologize for any of it. And I hope you don't give up. At the least get the money bank threw your credit card or bank. Because of course they can make statements like that in their FAQ.. but if they are not upholding their end of the subscription deal then that should make the no refund rule null in void .. Don't give up!!! And get your money back even if you get the products !!!
You are absolutely in the right here. Even if they are a genuine business that happens to have incompetent management, their behavior is incredibly shady at best. I hope you get your money back!

Ahhh two of my favourite TH-camrs cross paths! Alexandria's story is fury inducing. She released another video yesterday with the latest info and it's only made the company seem even dodgier than they already did.
Do a chargeback ASAP! They are not sending out anything. Alex released another video just yesterday (at the time of my comment) where she fought to get her money back, and even showed the BBB for this business, and NO ONE has received boxes, aside from an incomplete first box from early 2020.
THEY HAVE NOT PROVIDED THE FIRST BOX, OMG. BBB needs to know about this. They've only admitted to sending you one box, not two. They've charged you for two.
I’m so glad I’m finally able to watch this (chronic pain day yesterday, slept a lot lol) because that intro was everything I’ve been feeling for the last 2 months now.
I don’t know what “nature of the business” they’re talking about, refunds for subscription boxes is pretty standard, especially if you’re not getting your product.
There are definitely some subscription boxes where you aren't necessarily getting it to get an extra value but instead to get the curation or exclusive access to certain things, but usually that's clear, and also you should still ALWAYS get your first box before you get charged for a second box.
Any time I come across an online business that has a nonexistent phone number, I’m DONE! When you can only contact them via email, I smell a scam. Nope. 😑
I just love how the _second_ you started getting verbally upset they moved back the shipping date. And that’s not even mentioning the blatant copy-pasted emails you kept getting.
You can dispute the charge with your card. There are consumer protection laws in place where a business can't charge your card for products that weren't received. They already admitted they haven't shipped the products (all three emails). All sales are final implies you received the product box. You haven't. Regardless of a business expense or not, the more reverse charges the banks see from this company, they will start flagging transactions too.
I don't know if they're actually allowed to use the FAQ as an excuse since they didn't hold up their end by sending the goods. If it wasn't ages ago I'd say contact consumer affairs! Xx
I also just hopped over to their FAQ and this is what's listed under the refund section: "We will give refunds on certain orders that have not been shipped, but once the boxes have been shipped you can’t exchange or return items for a refund." Their FAQ contradicts itself. They say "all sales final" then "you might be able to get a refund for an unshipped box"
You got scammed pretty hard. I mean, sure the point of a box is to get value over cost... but also to "get" a box. further, a refusal to refund is a choice, not in the "nature of their business"
I love that they think sprinkling in a few french words in an english statement would make it seem fancier and "more french". It just sounds like it was written by a middle school school kid who just had their first French class and is now trying to use every word they learned.
It's been a while since I saw a "I bought/watched this thing so you don't have to" so I'm already excited to see this even before watching the video. Love you!
Their refund policy shouldn't be in the FAQs! That should be somewhere when you are signing up for the service. It should say, here's the basic terms and conditions, and here's where you can read all the terms and conditions. A company that has such a confusing payment policy, and does not accept refunds, should state that outright. You, as a consumer, should not have to go to their FAQ page.
Some credit card companies (like capital one is the one I know about) let's you make virtual cards that you can just delete whenever. I wouldn't sign up for a subscription without something like that now--you never know how much of the run-around a company will give.
I don't think they can say "no refunds" if they didn't send the product

It ruined my trip and caused me a great deal of distress. I think I cried for a month straight because I thought I was financially ruined.
Fun fact: A company saying "All sales are final" or "No refunds" doesn't actually excuse them from their obligations or consumer protection laws. If they don't provide the service promised, you are 100% entitled to a refund.
I've personally tried to dispute a "final sale" that I never received (a hotel booking during the pandemic) and I was denied. Very disappointing.
@@aemxo Yeah, same.
Look up that story of the wedding photography company that refused to refund a man after his soon to be wife died horrifically in a car accident, and they told him they hope he cries all day on his wedding day when he tried asking for one, can't remember the name but it was big news

The bank still chose to not return my money because they claimed my purchase was final sale at the time of purchase.
"A tax write-off does not mean it's free" YES. A very important and often overlooked point.
Schitt's Creek did an episode about this lol.
a lot of people think this and i just wanna bury my head in my hands when i hear people say this.
Idk why people think that. What it does is literally in the name. “A TAX write-off” right? Like you get to write off… the taxes. Not the entire cost.
@@TheSuperNintenderps I think people assume you write the cost from it through your taxes so like that money is gonna be directly deducted from your taxes and work like a refund, ignoring tax brackets and all that. A refund isn't even the same thing as free in the first place but that's another discussion to have.
@@harasnicole but it’s a write off!
Great vídeos, Alexandria!
Thank you to guy guys for talking about this subject! This company is shady AF but hopefully you will have discouraged others from falling foul to the their scam
Yay two of my faves!
Truly, a scalable model now.

You would know about scales, wouldn't you?

Yeah, that's fraud
This isn't a business model. This is literally a scam.
The support emails sounded automated, so they're either a scam or like,,, criminally incompetent.
@@estherstreet4582 I'm leaning towards this is actual people using copy paste messages and delivering to some people but ignoring most. Because some people are getting the products.
It is a Ponzi scam. They are using the money from new subscribers to pay for the products to fulfill the older sub boxes.
@@jenm9099 that's a bingo
i don’t think it IS on you. for example: forever 21’s clearance items cannot be returned and all sales are final. i am aware of this. but if i went to the store, purchased clearance items, paid my money, and the cashier held my items and wouldn’t give them to me and refused to tell me why or where she put them, “all sales are final” is not a valid defense for the fact that i didn’t get items that i already paid for. i hope you do end up doing a chargeback. because it’s not as if you got the items and just didn’t like them.
And if the product was defective they would have to refund even if they say "no refunds, sales are final".

Disputing with your bank is the right way to go. If you can, you may want to get something from them stating they have not sent anything at all and a breakdown of the charges, like $150 to box X and $150 to box y. Just to have 1005 proof they did not provide any items.
Additionally, have your bank block them on your card. They may say they have stopped charging on their side, but there is no guarantee and I've seen places play the oh we canceled it for you and then charge as they can.
that’s what alexandria ryan had to do. she had to start a dispute with paypal (which is how she paid) to get her money back. she got a partial refund more than nine months after she was told her full refund was on its way
Some banks can’t block transactions and you will have to change your card number/get a new one. At least that’s what happened to me and my mom!
@@maybelikealittlebit They all can. Whoever you talked to is wrong, or you ave a prepaid card like Greendot.
It’ll be on the company to provide proof or shipping, i.e. that important tracking number. They can’t fake that.
I feel like the FAQ "all sales are final" thing had to have been added recently or after all the controversy since that wasn't brought up to Alexandria Ryan in any of the emails she showed....fishy 🤔
according to the Wayback Machine, that's been on there for years. still pretty crappy though.
@@cjwoodable oh, didn't even think to check that way! Weird that they didn't seem to bring it up as an issue when Alexandria asked for a refund though. Crappy indeed
I think because they knew she was a TH-camr. Amanda didn't tell them she was doing a video.
@@soulstealer29a good point, probably!
“All sales are final.” What sale? You gave them money. You didn’t receive anything. There was no sale. What the hell?
Because most people don't go to BBB.
From the email, it sounds like they purposely make the bag portion of the website to be glitched and you can't make your selection and then forget about it and just send you into a loop. Especially because they keep confirming your bag selection in almost every email
"All sales are final"
Sale = money in exchange for a product or service. You received no product or service. So you are entitled to get your money back.
Lol this is 100% not your fault. When a company’s FAQ page says that “all sales are final,” that assumes you actually receive the dang product you paid for!! They can’t continue to charge you and not send you anything! 🤦🏻♀️
Omg I’m such a fan of Alexandria Ryan as well as Swell! My two worlds collide!
You're definitely right to do a charge back with your card issuer! They did not provide you with the product as advertised, in other words, they defrauded you! A "no refunds" policy does not apply in that case!
In the same way that you're obligated to pay them, they're obligated to send you the product. So "all sales final" is total bs if you get nothing
A lot of schools don't seem to be taking the proper precautions. I hear ya covid is a disaster in my area and now the wingnuts are not allowed to protest at the hospitals they now phone the overstuffed ICUs to harass the medical staff.
@@wh0aheavy it's terrible how fighting through something as traumatic as cancer still ends up resulting in death, especially when you think things are looking up. I hope you and the people who loved your friend are able to find healing. It's a shame that people can do everything right and still get sick and/or die because of the negligence of others in the face of public health.

It also was trash (broken items, missing items)
They also put her through the ringer to get a refund for the 2 completely missing boxes.

Nah! NAH! Ask your bank for a charge back, because this company took your money and gave you absolutely nothing.
The autocharging bs is why I always recommend signing up for these things with a "virtual credit card" like from Privacy or a prepaid debit card
Load up the card / set a spending limit with as much as the first month will cost and let them try to charge the card a second time
Of course this doesn't solve the other bad business practice of not sending you your first box, so... Maybe initiate a chargeback with your bank?
A lot of these subscription based companies won’t let you use a debit or prepaid card anymore only a regular credit card.
A sale is a contract, so them not sending the stuff in the time agreed is still a breach of contract. I hope you can retrieve the money through the bank because it sounds like they're never going to deliver

I am so appreciative of you and Alexandria Ryan doing these honest reviews to help us all avoid getting suckered. Thank you! And I’m so sorry you got scammed. That sucks.

I don't like that
As soon as I saw Oui Please in the title I went “oh boy” because I’ve seen Alexandria’s videos. She’s payed for what, four boxes? And received half of one? Yikesss

Alexandria Ryan literally just made an update video on this as well, great timing.

antivax sentiments have started to trigger a complete disassociative fugue state for me personally.
edit: I wanted to add that the US postal service is scheduled to be gutted soon, so packages will be more expensive and take longer to arrive. Given the state of commerce and how much of it goes through the post service and the presence of COVID now seems an unbelievably bad time to dramatically strip back postal services. I hope this becomes a voter issue because we need to fund the postal service bad.
This country really is the bad place huh? Like, actually detrimental to human life bad.
The post office was fucked when they were ordered to pre-pay FIFTY YEARS worth of pensions in a very short time. They went from solvent and stable to shaky since then, and what Dejoy did further damaged them. The post office may not be around much longer.

Just make sure to file it with your bank because it's $300 out of your account for nothing.
I've always been curious about subscription boxes, but i get the same amount of joy from watching other people open theirs.
Unsubscribed me with a very blunt email
your hysterical laughter in response to ridiculous business practices is always so relatable, queen
Oh ok!!!!! Glad that you did actually go with the charge back with your bank. Because it's not acceptable at all !! Plain and simple !!!

The amount of times Swell apologized for questioning the company ethics after they stole $300 from her was sort of depressing.
Refund policies only apply if you actually receive the product, I would go back at them about this.
You are absolutely in the right here. Even if they are a genuine business that happens to have incompetent management, their behavior is incredibly shady at best. I hope you get your money back!
PLEASE DISPUTE WITH YOUR BANK!!!! The goods/ services you paid for weren't delivered! Please also report them to the Better Business Bureau! save others!
In addition to my local post services & customs being weird AF, this is another reason why I’m hesitant to order a subscription box.

Alexandria's story is fury inducing. She released another video yesterday with the latest info and it's only made the company seem even dodgier than they already did.
That cloud cotton sweater brand has done this same thing to me. I ordered in July and still have seen nothing.
Just watched Alexandrias video, unfortunate to see you were scammed too but ready for the story 👏
Xx
Liked the video not even a minute in! My patience has also reached zero, i felt that in my soul
Man, I applied for a graphic design/marketing internship with them a couple years ago, glad I dodged a bullet with that one
I also just hopped over to their FAQ and this is what's listed under the refund section: "We will give refunds on certain orders that have not been shipped, but once the boxes have been shipped you can’t exchange or return items for a refund."
Their FAQ contradicts itself. They say "all sales final" then "you might be able to get a refund for an unshipped box"
You got scammed pretty hard. I mean, sure the point of a box is to get value over cost... but also to "get" a box. further, a refusal to refund is a choice, not in the "nature of their business"
The nerve they had directing you to their terms and conditions after charging you twice for nothing. Is fraud in their terms and conditions?
