The Billy spirit is so powerful I was giving that gift right after being saved of speaking in tongues and this is the most fabulous intentional illustrative illustration of a revelation of the Holy Spirit I have ever heard it’s 1:12 in the morning and I haven’t gone to bed yet because I keep listening to you what a blessing you are and how powerfully explain the power of the Holy Spirit Deborah Cleveland

The question is why do some grab the rope and others refuse. It's the why someone decides to grab it that gets me, only because they were predestined to yet the rope is freely given to anyone who would receive it, a paradox that is beyond human understanding. Thanks for the encouraging sermon, bless your ministry and labor. The door is soon to close, keep preaching the word. Peace and joy is something I'm contending for, it is not of this world.

Studying this verse in context, Jesus is talking to His disciples regarding Chapter 14. But, in 1 John 5, for instance, it’s for all believers, praying in His Will.

so I have a few questions I'm having trouble with answering to myself because not everyone you encounter is well read on the Gospels but I would like to be ready for when these questions are asked to me, if anyone here could help need out with these I would greatly appreciate it. 1. what answer do we give to people when they bring up the topic of incest in the Bible was it right? or was it simply a necessary part of the times. 2. what do we say to the question of slavery in the old testament is seems it was ok to have slaves but after Moses it feels like God is trying to wean people off slavery then Jesus breaks the chains. How would I go about answering these questions to a non believer. thank you

Hi Erik and thank you for watching Calvary Church! While we strongly encourage personal study of these things here are a few pointers to keep in mind as you learn more about these topics in the Bible. For the 1st question the answer is quite clear. In Genesis we can infer that incest was not forbidden by God due to the human genetic code only being 2 generations old and that being the only mode of human reproduction. The slavery question is a bit tricky but a basic knowledge of the Old Testament can add much light. Long story short Biblical "slavery" is not the same as 18th century slavery. "Slaves" as denoted in the Bible were to be treated a certain way see (Deuteronomy 15:12-15; Ephesians 6:9; Colossians 4:1). 18th Century slaves were seen as property whereas slaves during the Bible times had to be cared for and treated like human beings and abuse was not allowed. While on the surface it might seem as though God tolerated slavery He did not. Slavery in the Bible is near hand in hand with indentured servitude. Good luck and hope this helps.

@@CalvaryABQ thank you, I did some research yesterday after I asked these questions and got a good understanding on both the subjects. I would like to say thank you to this ministry for all the hard work that you guys put in I watch at least one sermon a day and it's really helped me to get closer to Jesus and find my way, right on my generation a lot of people feel lost and in the dark so it's a beautiful feeling to have the truth and light look forward to everyday. God bless

You are preaching half truth even though nobody pray for a TV or material wants when praying for the sick in Jesus Name but the healing did not manifest - is it not the will of God for the sick to be healed?
