Jesus talks more about the Holy Spirit than any other single subject during His closing words to the Disciples gathered in the Upper Room for their last Passover together. He wants to assure them that even though He is going away (when He ascends back into Heaven after His crucifixion and resurrection), He will not leave them as orphans. He will send the “Helper” or “Counselor” or “Comforter” to be with them-the Holy Spirit! But who is the Holy Spirit? And what is the role of the Holy Spirit in the world today and in the life of the Believer? Pastor Gary discusses this and more in today’s study from John 14-16.

The Holy Spirit is the Divine Spirit of God Himself. Because the nature of God, He is Spirit (John 4 :24). And one of the characteristics of God that He is "HOLY" which is the Holy Spirit.

Let me structually talk about the Holy Spirit with 5 facets, human godly soul (נִשְמַת אָדָם : Prov 20:27, Gn 2:7), human animal soul ( נֶפּשׁ חַיָּה, Gn1:20, Lev 26:30, 1Sam 2:35), human mind (consciousness, διάνοια, Mk 12:30, Mt 20:37, Lk10:27), human body (σῶμα, 1Thes 5:23) and human strength (מְאֹד, Deut6:5, Mk12:30, Lk10:27). In conclusion, simply saying that God Holy Spirit different from His equivalent, God the Holy Ghost, is Universal Church of LORD Jesus Christ, who is either a human godly soul of a believer (the least, Mt25:40,45) or united one of 144,000 His churches who represents the infinite numbers of individual believers, everyone holds the five components in general structure.

I always felt Holy Spirit is the spirit of God. Kind of like when Elisha asked for a double portion of the spirit of Elijah, God sent his spirit to us. When it come to Jesus idk how him and God can be the same person. He is the son of God so he can’t be physically God also. That doesn’t make sense. Also how the word says not even the son knows the day he will come back and only the father knows. Clearly they are two separate beings. How I understand it, it is kind of like how when we marry we become one in the eyes of God and the father and the son are one in the same sense like that. They are one spiritually but not physically.

Can this illustration be okay for God who is ONE and with 3 personalities.
The Sun is one - Can be seen as an Object , we can feel the Heat, we can see the Light. All but One Sun .
The Trinity is one God that reveals himself in a plurality of three persons; God the Father, God the Son (Jesus) and God the Holy Spirit.
Best illustration to grasp the concept of only One God that reveals himself as Three Persons; take a light and pass it through a prism, that light refracts into three primary colours.
It is the same light revealed in three different ways.
This is a spiritual mystery.
God is a singular God, who reveals himself in three ways to us, all co-equal and co-eternal 🙏🙏🙏
The Holy Spirit's attributes of personality are: Mind, Will and Emotion.
Role of the Holy Spirit, is that of a Saving role drawing us and leading and empowering us to come to our Saviour and to receive Jesus.
Teaching role to be able to comprehend, understand and remember all things of Jesus.
Testifying role of the Holy Spirit; enabling us to testify to others who Jesus is, enabling and helping us in that very hour of teaching to others, what we are to say and how.
Convicting role of the Holy Spirit of sin (understanding the true sinful condition of man assisting us to build our moral compass and conscience), righteousness (role of God) and judgement (role of Satan and his final/ultimate judgement as ruler of this world).
Guiding role of the Holy Spirit, guiding us to ALL truth, which is non negotiable (gender, marriage, sexuality, life and choice).
That God we can be guided into all truth to guide ourselves and other generations.
May God sanctify our hearts with the Holy Spirit who saves us, who teaches us, who convicts us when we sin.
All the praise and all the glory to God who loves and protects us always 🙏🙏🙏
What if it's your own child? That's only a question. Not from my own experience. I just wonder what would you do if it was your child ?
I believe that Holy God has 3 persons which in my understanding according to your example is light through a prism; then Holy God the Father is also Holy Jesus Christ and therefore Holy God the Father suffered and died to pay the penalty of our sins. He did not need to send His Only Son.

Who is the Holy Spirit? You know that the Holy Spirit is inside Jesus "filled with the Holy Spirit, Jesus...". But Jesus reiterates many times that ONLY THE FATHER IS WITH HIM (for. ex. "Yet, I am not ALONE because the Father is with me."). This means that THE HOLY SPIRIT must necessarily be THE FATHER, who indeed is A SPIRIT ("God is a spirit" Jn. 4:23,24) (Jesus hasn't got TWO spirits inside Him).
In other words Jesus has the "FATHER who is a SPIRIT" and calls Him either "Holy Father" or "Holy Spirit" according to circumstances. The latter name is the "spirit-name" of that SPIRIT - who is the Father - used by Jesus in order to be able TO IDENTIFY HIM among other spirits. This means that blasphemy against the Holy Spirit means blasphemy against the Father. He is "greater than Jesus", this is why that blasphemy is considered more severe by Jesus.

God who is called "the Father" by Jews and Christians is our Creator but He is not our dad; He is called Rabbuna Allah Almighty by Muslims; He is the One and only True Eternal Living Lord of prophets Abraham and Ishmael and Isaac and Jacob (peace be upon them all);Our One True Creator is the only One worthy of worship .
God created His servant an angelic creature the Holy Spirit Archangel Gabriel (peace be upon him)and God created His servant a human creature The Messiah prophet Jesus son of Mary (peace be upon them both) .

The holy spirit is God's active force! A comparison of Bible texts that refer to the holy spirit shows that it is spoken of as 'filling' people; they can be 'baptized' with it; and they can be "anointed" with it. None of these expressions would be appropriate if the holy spirit were a person. It is not a person but it is a powerful force that God causes to emanate from himself to accomplish his holy will. Psalms 104:30; Acts 4:31!
