  • After Jesus rose from the grave, He spent forty days with His disciples before ascending into heaven. During this time, He tasked them with spreading the gospel to the ends of the world. In this message, we learn about the very beginnings of the early church.
This teaching is from our series 44 Acts - 2017 with Skip Heitzig from Calvary Albuquerque.

I have recently started bible study, on my own, but I come to skip every scripture and book I read I always feel less alone but with community having my own rabbi teach me and explain it all to me. I will be forever grateful to skip and his church for bringing the bible to life for me. Its been life changing

Yall...Jesus is the best thing that has ever happened. That statement of Luke's.....Infallible Proof.....just wow. Jesus is real. Like why would they waste their time to even write or share all of this if it wasn't? Jesus...you are amazing. ...thank you for saving us. We look forward to seeing you one day soon in all your wondrous glory!

I mostly take naps until the sun goes down because of the heat without rain but in Albuquerque I would pray for rain and a little cloud would show up. I spoke to that cloud and told it to gather more of them and after about 2 weeks the sky was overcast and it rained. Also when we danced Mayim at Messianic Jewish services it always rained.

Hello and thank you for the uploads. Pastor Skip mentioned a 14th century doctrine regarding the perpetual virginity of Mary. Is he referring to a specific papal decree or document that the Catholic Church released? I appreciate any resources for further reading regarding this subject. Thanks again for uploading.

      Dear Brian,
My name is Cesar Loya and I am one of the assistant pastors at Calvary Albuquerque. On behalf of Pastor Skip, I will be answering your question.
Thank you so much for your inquiry regarding the perpetual virginity of Mary, and thank you for watching Pastor Skip’s teachings.
The following link will give you the Catholic church’s position on the doctrine they hold to of Mary’s 1. The Divine Motherhood, 2. Perpetual Virginity, 3. Immaculate Conception, and 4. Bodily Assumption. As you read the article please note that no references to the Bible are made to support their views. Catholic scholars use catechisms, tradition, and papal counsels to form their beliefs.
      www.patheos.com/blogs/davearmstrong/2016/12/perpetual-virginity-mary-catholic-dogma.html
This link will point you to the view that that the perpetual virginity of Mary is not found in the Bible, and hence, is not a view that is supported by evangelical Christians.
      www.gotquestions.org/perpetual-virginity-Mary.html
Brian, my prayer for you is that God would continually guide you through the study of His Word and through the leading of the Holy Spirit.
      In Christ,
      Cesar Loya

    Mar 16:16-18
He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
    And these SIGNS shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
Why are the SIGNS not visible today. Could it be Jesus wasn't talking to you!

I think Peter was acting on human emotion by wanting a replacement for Judas. Judas yes did a horrific act but it had already been fortold written. I believe he was to carry out a task only a man of his background can do when put in a position he had trouble with. It was all already put in place Jeshua knew this and may have possibly forgave Judas. Why would he not.
