i was 6 years old. i was driving with my mum near westgate. we managed to get out. i will never forget how dark that day was for kenya. years later i still send love and light to the victims, family and friends who lost lives that day.
Iam.somali girl i can.feel you kenyam people that is very pain how about a people every month kiling like that and even more then that those are somali people
@quruxleyqalanjo5485 kenya is in your country( Somalia) to 1.provide peace and stability 2.Combat the enemy Alshabaab so that they don't grow root and spread mayhem to our country. As a fellow East African I expect you to support us to fight the common enemy..we are in this together💙 or else divided we lose
None of you would believe me, but i was in the shopping mall during the attack! I was only 2 years old with my mom. I liked the guard next to the cooking competition before he died :(
These comments are NOT it. Similar incidents have happened all around the world and I mean that literally. This was a tragedy and posting a remembrance video and for awareness to help stop these kinds of evil acts. Nobody is trying to make your country look bad, instead of coming for people who are posting about it you all should direct that anger towards the perpetrators in this attack because they chose to play this out and THEY made the reflection on your country to make it seem bad.
In the same breath show the breathtaking architectural infrastructure, the highlands, plateau, desert, islands, white sand beaches, I.T developments, athletes, the tropical weather throughout the year, the wins against the terrorist and most importantly the PEOPLE of KENYA. That is what I WOULD LOVE MAINSTREAM MEDIA HIGHLIHGHT.
So many Kenyans have lost their lives in these terror attacks, from 1998 US embassy bombing to Kikambala bombing,to terror attack in westgate, to garissa University terror attack to dusit 2 terror attack. So sad, help us God.
As a kenyan, I wonder whether BBC lacked better content to upload about my peaceful and welcoming country! I know kenya has had and still continues to have its fair share of problems ranging from security to economic issues and also corruption! But kenyans together with the new government led by president Ruto are more determined than ever to make their country better and prosperous for all its citizens to live a happy and comfortable life too! 😊 Kenya might not be the best, but we are doing our best to make it the best country not just in Africa, but the whole world! Kenya to the world 💪👊
I don’t know why BBC sharing bad thing about Africa countries yesterday they were talking about South Africa and how bad it is now they talk about Kenya and how bad it is. Stop scaring people.
It’s likely because they were marking the 10th anniversary of the attack. I just got back from Nairobi, Kenya and it is one of my favourite places on earth.
This has absolutely nothing to do with hamas. You're making a comparison based on false assumptions. If you don't know what you're talking about then don't say it.

This was a dark day for us, sad memories 😢
I'm sorry for your traumatic experience 😔 hope you are doing better
Amazing fact based reporting BBC. Let us never forget history no matter how dark, lest it repeats itself on our descendants.
18 - 33 years in jail?
No life sentence?
Smh! Its a 10 year anniversary report 🤦🤦🤦
It has been a decade the day, the attack hapoened in Nairobi Westgate Mall killing 67 people. So tragic
Why did it took so many hours to reach mall don’t understand
Soo 😞 we pray for the people who lost their life there
None of you would believe me, but i was in the shopping mall during the attack! I was only 2 years old with my mom. I liked the guard next to the cooking competition before he died :(
I don't think BBC journalists talk like this when an attack like this or something more serious happens in Somalia.
Police were slow to act
Not that slow on the looting spree though
And you find some Kenyans sympathising with Hamas.
I wonder how
May their soul rest in peace 😥

That was the day...when everything changed...for me.
Please how?
Did you lose a loved one or something
The way some people post provocative nothings for attention & then ignore replies for more details
There is no other content except what happened ten years ago in Westgate shopping mall. Seriously!! Shame on you BBC.
It's a remembrance video 🙄
mmeanza maneno ya zamani
Bruh everybody always report on this yearly even the Kenyan media (citizen)

Ole lenku was a lame defence minister and an even worse governor.Westgate was a big turning point for Kenya
Why is BBC broadcasting this 10 years after . You could have found more interesting things to report on, always making us look bad , high risk area .
no one is trying to make your country look bad, every reasonable person knows this is not a reflection of the country
