I had forgotten you folks were still alive out there. I look forward to watching these. Maybe they'll inspire me to return to Eve. The universe is surely to safe without me there to wreck the place. ;)
Not totally alive: Will Adama is still on a hiatus from eve, Garmon and Duncan are fairly busy in real life. Garmon suggested to me (Suitonia) that I upload the videos I made recently to the eveiseasy channel as he thought that the people who were previously subscribed would be interested in the content. Garmon may be bringing you some Alliance Tournament related video soon (no promises though! just what he suggested to me on Skype).
eveiseasy It's good to breathe new life into the community, even with the old guard on hiatus. Frigate fights were content that the older crew didn't deliver on to often, so I think it's a solid addition to what's available. I hope your next video doesn't take as long as the last time the channel was updated. ;)
Hi and thank you for your awesome video. I have been watching it a lot since I started FW and I followed your guide for the Kestrel. In game my corp mates told me to change the laucher riggs(Small Warhead Calefaction Catalyst I and Small Bay Loading Accelerator I ) for shield riggs, (Anti em, anti thermal and shield extander). What is your opinion on this ? I am new in PVP so I don't know if I need more dps or more tanking. Thanks in advance, bye.
as a new aspiring pvp'r... I have a simple question.... the first fight with the merlin... did you use an orbital strategy or a "Keep at range" strategy?
Flackyncc It doesn't matter too much, Keep at Range and Orbit at the same range is more or less identical in function when kiting someone in a Kestrel, the benefit of orbit is that it does give you some traversal so it can be easier when fighting multiple ships or when you need to mitigate DPS in some way through speed. The only real drawback with orbit is that it's slightly easier for your opponent to escape as orbiting makes you stay slightly further out than the range you use and trys to come in at a sustainable angle rather than approaching, so something to keep in mind. (Both orbit and KAR are pretty much identical in that fight though).
You never seem to have issues dictating range in what is a fairly slow ship- are you using links by any chance? it seems like a lot of your opponents could have disengaged if they wanted to. Range dictation is so huge in frig 1v1, (to the point where many will fit dual web on their kestrals) and I'm wondering how you seem to keep it. Nice kills :)
Hi, today I lost a close fight against a Tristan (with neut and armor tanked) with my Kestrel. What range do you recommand to fight it at ? Thanks in advance, your vids are really useful.
The unfortunate thing is that this setup requires all 5 skills (perfected kestrel) which is never gonna suit those people who are relatively new to the game.
Ilar Ran Dar I have a guide to the Kestrel (although more focused towards 0.0) for new players on the channel. The new player fit will work just fine in FW space, just replace the MWD with an Afterburner (And AB is easier to fit than MWD). This fit should be fine too, you might need to use a named Medium Shield Extender instead of T2, or a named damage control if you need the CPU, but should be good to go.
dude.. the tracking on the Lasers is crap regardless of tracking bonuses, always orbit lasers 500 that is part of your problem. Also you got lucky with the hookbill, don't try to take hookbills in your kestrel...

+Uandme1988 you'll probably want to stay at 8-9km to stay outside the neut range and any off-spec weapons he has. It's still a hard fight though.
+eveiseasy thanks a lot for your answer. The hobgoblins 2 are so strong. Maybe I should put shield resist riggs. Take care.

Actually Executioner doesnt get tracking bonus, nice vid tho, keep on :D
Also, looking forward to the Tormentor video

That is not close to merlin dps...

Stop overheating everything when you don't need to...please....
Also nice links.
I don't have links in any of the fights in this video, and yeah my heat management at times was really bad (I did mention it in the video)
