I am an Indian myself, and as you've mentioned in the video spitting on the floor is a big problem all over India, btw honestly saying the spitting is not their saliva but a sweet and salty powder called "Paan" is very obsessive once you eat it and contains tobacco, and I request all my friends from my country to stop it as its harmful for their health and the environment I am not saying this to spread offense to others but to spread the awareness, so glad that you mentioned a major problem in India. love you Invook

It's like every time I meet someone outside the northeast, they use offensive words and makes jokes about our "Chinese" ethnicity, I always look AND sound Chinese to them, and they think I'll take it as a compliment when they say that. (No hate to China) Yes, you're right, the spread of awareness will help. But it is going to take forever, but it's fine for me since I don't have to go out of northeast anymore. I'm from Kerala and I have a special place in my heart for northeast people. I've met so many amazing people from those states. Even during covid, my neighbors who were from Nagaland helped me a lot. I'm definitely going to visit northeast India one day.

Outsiders face same discrimination in North east. Don't you dare make it sound like it's north or south problem. Just few weeks ago outsiders were openly being kicked by khasi student unions who were supposedly protesting against unemployment. They were literally assaulting random people on roads who didn't look like them. Have you ever in your entire life seen similar stuff happening anywhere else in the north or south?
2:06 One thing is common in india and that is stereotype/racism. North Indians mock south indian call them madrasi,south indian mock North Indians call everyone above south India as north Indians, west Indians mock and beat up wala bhaiyas and biharis. Northeast don't like biharis(East Indian) even hated them at one point in history. East Indian mock and are racist among themselves. So you see this is what binds whole india.
I don't know about other places in India but I'm born in Northeast part of India & I'm proud of it...and I hope all the other parts of people in India will accept us ..and stop calling us Chinese or anything just because we look similar...

Thank you, but even if there exists people like you, it is a very tiny percentage. I can't tell you the number of time we have been faced unpleasant situations despite being citizens of the same country that claims to have "unity in diversity". Sadly, I think unity in diversity might be present among the other states of India that excludes northeast. Kindly do not take offence, just sharing my experience sadly

It's like every time I meet someone outside the northeast, they use offensive words and makes jokes about our "Chinese" ethnicity, I always look AND sound Chinese to them, and they think I'll take it as a compliment when they say that. (No hate to China)

I'm from Kerala and I have a special place in my heart for northeast people. I've met so many amazing people from those states. Even during covid, my neighbors who were from Nagaland helped me a lot. I'm definitely going to visit northeast India one day.
Im from tripura and I've visited keral just recently keralians are very polite and we don't get the weird looks like when we went to north india ,kerala and the people of Kerala are really amazing such well mannered people please do come visit North east you'll also enjoy the same i believe, i have a classmate in my college as well who is from kerala he is also an amazing person he is always eager to help with studies and all

Just few weeks ago outsiders were openly being kicked by khasi student unions who were supposedly protesting against unemployment.
They were literally assaulting random people on roads who didn't look like them.

North Indians mock south indian call them madrasi,south indian mock North Indians call everyone above south India as north Indians, west Indians mock and beat up wala bhaiyas and biharis.
Northeast don't like biharis(East Indian) even hated them at one point in history.

As a northeast,I'm so glad you visited meghalaya! Usually,(in my opinion) we are most of the time invisible to the other Indian side- when i came to meghalaya after 3 years,i taught they were south-east Asian sinces they look so much like Chinese/korean and Japanese. i hope you enjoyed the journey! 🥰

The kaleidoscope India presents is second to none interms of races, language, culture ,ethnicity and religion.
From some of the highest valleys and snow peaked mountains to deserts...
beautiful coastline adorned with white sandy beaches to tropical weather and rain forests India has it all.
Not to mention some of the oldest ruins in human history to modern sky scrapers. We got it all.
