Put the sluice on the clean side underneath the levees, and set it to close on 1% contamination. Then just delete the sluices on the dirty side. The problem is that the clean side closes, and it takes time for the bad water to diffuse to the dirty sluices, causing overflow.
@@Fuzz-Brain haha heard your comment in your later video - didn't think about that extra space. If you want to humour me put the sluices right next to the water source so there is no buffer space at all. Hopefully that fixes it, but even if too much effort appreciated the little comment
Recently found ur timberborn videos, u seems like an interesting guy. I love long video so imma stay for sometimes. Finished watching and listening 2 episodes of this series while doing my overwhelming task. Keep it up, man! I love it. Probably gonna watch ur vids everytime i'm working on my tasks
Yea, I agree...I'm going to be terraforming a bit just to get some stable production going (i.e. lumber, food, etc). I typically work with the terrain in most respects, so hopefully you dig what I have planned!
You got a little bit of bad water through your sluice because of the conditions, you should set it to close above 0% contamination and have the run off sluice set to close below 1% contamination
Great idea! I had already filmed the next episode coming out tomorrow but when I get to it, I can rearrange things a little and get those dandelions going.
Enjoying this, keep it up
I am enjoying the videos. :)
Thanks! :)

Yes, this!
Ah, good tip, thanks!

Oh, great to hear! Glad you dig the episodes...many more to come :)
26:59 Reverse the order. Put sluices on bottom & levees on top. Then you won't need sluices for badwater to get out after TNT cuts canal.
Cheapest way to block a badwater source - Cover with 3 4x1 overhangs, surround with levees or dirt, & cover with levees or floors.
@@darthgbc363 yea I know, I'm debating how exactly I want to handle all the different sources haha
Too many people just hammer the dynamite and flatten the entire map. Keep it natural. Jagged-ness looks good.

Yep, thanks! I think I ended up setting it to like 5% and it fixed the issue.
YOu should plant dandelions in the valley of flowers

49:37 You could use a sluice instead. Acts as a one-way valve.
ah, true! that's a great call. I've already filmed a few episodes ahead, but will do this next time I'm recording :)
this is underwhelming
First few episodes are just getting set up for the rest...it's how most go. Appreciate the comment!
