I love this game too. I can safely say it’s my favorite game of all time. Sunk 500 hours in it. And then some more when the Director’s Cut came about. That said. While I 100% understand this videos are for giggles I disagree strongly with the bashing of the mechanics and gameplay in general. It’s totally not for everyone but it’s very, very well done and fun to play if you are into it. Cheers.

It's really easy to have a good laugh about how weird and frustrating this game can be--- but one point of criticism I never understand is how you supposedly have to constantly press the shoulder buttons left and right to keep your balance. In my experience, all you need to do is auto-arrange your cargo so it's evenly distributed (which is as simple as pressing triangle in the cargo menu) and hold down both shoulder buttons while traveling as if you're holding your pack straps when you hike in real life. Through the entire game i think I only fell and dropped my cargo maybe 10 times due to losing my balance. Are a lot of people actually trying to play this game by alternating between the triggers?
@@rookieman329 The game has polarized opinions regarding gameplay and story. Story is your typical kojima type thing, if you like kojima, you will like it. But gameplay? You really just have to try it to see if you like it or not. It's either you really love the gameplay, or you find it extremely boring.

About the whole balance thing... if you just hold both the triggers to keep your balance you don't have to keep adjusting your load on flat or smooth surfaces. So less like a Norman Reedus shaped car and more like a human should behave with 300 kg of gear strapped to their back. (balancing the load on your suit helps too.)
To anybody reading this, I really hope you actually get to experience this game and form your own opinions. Just be aware that its a different form of audio- visual media (the next step in my opinoion) so dont expect it to have the regular gameplay (plot, acting, cinematography, audio) we've grown accustomed to

Yeah, I never got that either. I would just hold both buttons before going near non-flat terrain and never had an issue.
Only time I’ve fallen was at the beginning and due to uh BT tar pits. It’s really not that hard to stay up.
