Another part where I-5 was built in the 50's; Bypass US 99 was in concurrence. Commercial and Liberty, Marion and Center, Capitol and Summer were Business US 99 back in the day. Street layout is a bit unusual. Being the state capitol, it's well-sustained downtown and has converted some of it into a shopping mall.
