Not a bad play really, the timing and pressure was good, had most of the map under control, but I think the loss was due to composition. Gascenya are good sure, but they count as heavy infantry just like musks and fulani are bow/skirm which counter them. So the javelins tank and fulani can just rinse you completely especially cause fulani have several extra range upgrades which even if you attack move keep them in the back. If you fight jav/fulani with gascs head on it wont work most of the time since the thing you bet on is a few cannoneers and your big boy and thats risky cause you can focus it down. 2nd barracks when you hit age 3 (which happened earlier for you) and then pump neftenya who's multiplier will counter his javs. I found that Hausa do well sitting around and just booming since you got universities but to get a similar power-spike ethopians need trading posts since they generate your influence for you, but once you got that sorted it opens up more options like conquistadors, cannoneers and the organ gun and crossbow techs. Abuns and cattle also help to generate some but thats fairly expensive.
