    The problem with tucking is that if you don't have a flat belly, it does not work nearly as well in achieving the look you are going for.

      I have a poochy belly. It’s a struggle. I rarely do full tuck. And never a thick top. Good luck. 👍

      How about being very petite with square shaped body? Tucking shirt is very hard, esp. with office wear what would you suggest?

      Yes, I am post menapause, with a chubby stomach. This hardly works for me. I’ve been watching videos on this for half an hour, and tried what all these fashion geniuses have said, and it hardly works for me. On the side is better. On one video they suggested taking the front of the shirt and twisting it so you have a little twist that is two or three inches long. I don’t remember what the video’s title was, it was less than a minute long though.

    Love this video! Stress ages! I found disconnecting from the TV, removed a lot of my stress. Their
    ‘programming” was taking a toll on my health. I cancelled my cable and also Alexia! Tired of having all our conversations listed too! I use to keep the TV on for background sound, found silence is sooo much better!

    Wow I am getting out my clothes and trying some of these things! My favorite is the french tuck! :-) Thank you for showing what can be done with the back if needed. It always helps me to ask my friend what they think also- sometimes they come in the door and gives me a thumbs up! I love the tie the shirt top. I am so excited and have fun with hair ties! My model friend showed me how to take the tie is making if enough fabric you can make what is hanging into a flower. I have my own hack to do it as I could not do it how she did. It looks the same. Thank You for showing me how to do french tuck with sweater! It is just what I needed to know! I gave up cable knits because it is too much volume for me! But I love how you did it and looks amazing! Thank You so very much! You make me more excited about fashion and how to rock them!

    I wonder if you can help... Being a post menapausal lady with a little belly fat, my eyes go straight to my belly whenever I attempt the tuck. I have worked out that tops that go up at the sides are more esthetically pleasing to the eye + cover my little belly. I did notice the black shirt seemed wider at the bottle + gathered well. All ideas appreciated 😁

    • @PetiteDressing
      @PetiteDressing  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Eileen- I'll make another video for those of us with mid-section concern. In general, you want to go with a top with asymmetrical hem, or an open cardigan with waterfall hem. Those will distract from the belly.

    I am in love with the white cropped coat with the blue trim. Always like rolling-up my sleeves a bit.

    I just found you a week ago, & I'm loving your content! I'm wondering if you can address thick legs. I'm short & curvy with extra thick, fleshy, wide legs (not just thighs, but knees & calves too). I hid even the lower part of my legs from my early teens until my early 30's. Now I am willing to wear knee length skirts. It would be good to learn about clothing lengths hem lines (for example, I love black but a black skirt that has a straight line "cut" across my legs looks horrible, especially if it's starchy fabric), tights, boots & shoes that would be best for this challenge. Thank you!

    • @PetiteDressing
      @PetiteDressing  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Sarah- I'll have this on my video list. Wherever the skirt hem ends, it's always going to draw attention to that area on your legs/calves. So, if you have thicker calves, midi length is going to be a challenge. Asymmetrical hem (slanted, or high/low hem) midi skirts work better than straight cut.

    Dear Chi, "To tuck or not to tuck, that's the question" great video
    I love the effect that give it to your figure; it is amaizing the improvement in the looks.
    You look so beautiful😍
    Sadly, for me, I don't know why doesn't work that great. I'm an apple🍎with not overweigth, so every time I try to tucking, the looks are much better from the front view; but, when I turn to the sides doesn't look that good. As a result, I became more self conscious of my lower midsection. I think I have to use a shapewear to hide it, at least a little bit☹ but, that is another "problem" because I don't like to wear shapewear in daily basis.
    I love this video.
    Many thanks⚘
