    Wish I would have known you were up in my area, I would have come out with my Trailhawk to meet you. Maybe another time.

    Traction boards with a high lift pad built in will solve the unlevel hi jack issue. With that said, I love GWNF! was there this past winter and camped Switzer lake a few days of it. Beautiful country, and great fun. Thanks for the great video!

    I believe I’ll have to do a Moto camping trip up here. Y’all should try Potts mountain in Virginia. Leave the trailer at camp

    What a fun trail. No flat tire, but I bent in my left plastic fender slightly on an obstacle that was higher than it looked, which I needed my winch and snatch block to pull back out again. I was down there with a friend last Thursday (he was camped up by Switzer Lake) and we had a blast. I'm talking my wife camping there in a few weeks when it's a bit warmer. You should add some text to the video reminding viewers that they need to buy a permit to use PMR. $5 from vendors in Edinville and Woodstock.

    Hi Brad. Something I think you should start doing, even though you already have a large collection, is you should show putting on the Jeep badges at end of video. Show people what your hard work has earned you. Also show each badge with maybe some clips from those runs. Remember, these are your trophies, and should be proud to show others. Great job with the videos and love watching them.

    Great video as always. There are two Jeep trails at Peters Mill/Taskers Gap. The southern trail is out and back and the northern trail is point to point. I’m less familiar with the offshoots and thought those were primarily for ATVs.

    I'd be curious to see a short and longer-term report on how well the roof and rack on the WK2 hold up to the weight of the roof top tent. I've seen a few reports of buckling a bit under the weight (but could never confirm if that person had just stuck crossbars on the stock rack or put a stronger rack on).

    • @ProdigalOverland
      @ProdigalOverland  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We know a few folks who have had them on long term. With good racks and the have been ok. But we don’t have first hand experience with this.

    Was trying to research but seemed to get conflicting info, maybe you can help me with a good direction. You arrived at camp, atop Flagpole Knob. Did you have to research that ahead of time? I could not figure out how or where to do that. I am hoping to go soon, and to hit up Peter’s Mill as well with my Trailhawk. But thought it would be good to camp on top of Flagpole Knob.

    • @ProdigalOverland
      @ProdigalOverland  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No. Just head to the top of flagpole. There are areas to camp along the way. First come first serve. When we went there were plenty of spots.

    You guys rock! Good stuff! While I have a new Gr Cher Thawk, flew to Denver, rented Wrangler Sport, Did Rampart Ridge. From Manitou Springs to Garden of the Gods. Not technical but what views! Stock Wrangler Sport- is very capable as this shows. Looks like great trails.
    @Prodigal Overland :What tire pressure did you run?? Did that help or hurt sidewall damage?

    • @ProdigalOverland
      @ProdigalOverland  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We were at 25. I’m not sure it would have mattered. We were turning a corner and must have taken a sharp rock. But we were a little higher on the pressure than normal. I kept the pressure up because of the extra weight of the trailer.

    • @jimwheeler6094

      @@ProdigalOverland, I know that the older WK2 JGC came with a full size spare but I wasn't sure about the newer models though. But I suppose that with the full time AWD system I suppose that they would have to. But aren't you running oversized Falken Wildpeaks on your JGC?

    • @ProdigalOverland

      @@jimwheeler6094 yep we are. We swapped the spare with the same tire

    • @jimwheeler6094
      @jimwheeler6094 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ProdigalOverland, I thought that it looked like the OEM spare. So the oversized Falken Wildpeak fits under the cargo deck with no problem then? I looked into the Falken Wildpeak tires but I discovered that they don't make the 10 ply LT version in the standard JGC tire diameter no matter the rim size. Do you know if that's the case across the board industry wide?

  • @gdwinco
    @gdwinco 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    You wheel hard enough and often enough that you should get LT vs PMetrics.

    • @ProdigalOverland
      @ProdigalOverland  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’ve known some wk2 owners that complain about the ride stiffness when they move to LT tires. You switched correct? How has it been. I like that these even the air suspension out. Also I currently get them replaced under warranty pretty cheaply

    • @gdwinco
      @gdwinco 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ProdigalOverland i was worried about stiffness and the ride so i originally went Falken. It’s been a non-issue on my BFG KO2’s, LT 265/65R18. You can still cut LTs but they are thicker and tougher. Replacement via road hazard is probably ~same, $30-40 a tire @discounttire
