    Thank you. This video has a lot of very good advice. Off topic, I use to watch way too much tv but then I started thinking the more I watch the more it was controlling my actions. The number of fast food commercials is at an all time high which leads people into eating poorly. I feel this can snowball into becoming over weight and obese which leads to poor health. Drug companies are maybe the 2nd most commercials I think I was seeing. A pill to cure everything. If we did not let ourselves become sick from poor eating habits this would not of happened in the first place. I feel both fast food and drug commercials are connected in how one could lead to the other. Perhaps this is a stretch but I feel television or watching too much is harmful. In the last few weeks I have not turned on the tv and I am feeling better and feel I am learning and spending my time more wisely.

    Point 4, anger. The bible says, "u can be angry, but do not sin." Self-control is key.

    • @RISEWITHSTOICISMUS
      @RISEWITHSTOICISMUS 3 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Absolutely! Anger is a natural emotion, but how we respond to it defines our character. The Bible’s wisdom aligns perfectly with Stoicism-self-control and not letting anger dictate our actions is the key to maintaining peace and integrity. Thank you for sharing this

    This video made me pause and think... It's like a mirror reflecting back all the ways I sabotage my own peace. I'm guilty of all the things mentioned here - over-explaining, chasing unnecessary goals, getting caught in social media comparisons. It's a wake-up call. The idea of reclaiming control and focusing inward feels liberating. I know it won't be easy, but I want to be intentional about making these shifts. Thank you for this thoughtful and thought-provoking video. I think I'm ready to let go of some things...😘😘

    Mastering life with Stoicism means embracing key lessons: focus only on what you can control, your thoughts, actions, and character. Let go of external validation and find strength in self-discipline and resilience. See challenges as opportunities for growth, and remain calm under pressure. By living with purpose and aligning your actions with virtue, you will stay ahead, not by competing with others, but by mastering yourself. True success begins within.😍

    Cool. Concerning the need for external validation, an example of unnecessary desires, which are insatiable to the mind as sugar is to the body.

    • @RISEWITHSTOICISMUS
      @RISEWITHSTOICISMUS 3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Well said! The need for external validation is indeed like a craving-momentarily satisfying but ultimately insatiable and draining. Just as cutting out sugar benefits the body, letting go of unnecessary desires brings clarity and peace to the mind. A powerful analogy

    No. 1: Let Go of the Need for External Validation
    No. 2: Stop Explaining Yourself to Those Who Hurt You
    No. 3: Avoid Oversharing After a Relationship Ends
    No. 4: Eliminate Unnecessary Goals
    No. 5: Stop Raising Your Voice in Anger
    No. 6: Avoid Comparing Yourself to Others
    No. 7: Limit Mindless Social Media Use
    No. 8: Let Go of Perfectionism
    No. 9: Release Unrealistic Expectations
    No. 10: Embrace Change Instead of Resisting It
    No. 11: Stop Gossiping

    Living a life of mastery through Stoicism is about unlocking your inner power. Focus your energy on what truly matters: your thoughts, actions, and character-things within your control. Release the need for external approval and discover unshakable strength in self-discipline and resilience. View every challenge as a chance to rise, every setback as a lesson to grow stronger. Cultivate calmness under pressure, knowing that true courage comes from a steady heart. By living with purpose and aligning your actions with timeless virtues, you transcend the race with others and achieve the ultimate victory-mastery over yourself. Success doesn’t come from outside; it starts within you.
