I’m always surprised at the relevance of Iqbal. SubhanAllah this man was able to perfectly able to diagnose the problem in the ummah. His words are timeless. I constantly find myself coming back to poetry when the state of world disturbs me and it just puts everything into perspective. Allahu Yarhamu

Partially agree with you. No doubt the depth in Iqbal's poetry could be placed parallel to the poetic splendours present in Arabic and Persian but I don't agree that English poetry has any such depth in it. At least, I am not aware of that.
