The most comfortable watch I own. Love the techie look; only worn it to the office so far, but it's the business. As Tony said, only the lack of backlight let's it down, making it a daytime/indoor wear. To be fair, I only bought it for the look, as I wanted one as a kid.
i got to borrow a white variation of this. it definitely isn't meant to be used in dark environments because of its lack of a light function. still an eye candy, and i find the calculator handy at times
I have owned a Casio CA-53 watch since around 1981 or 1982. My first one had a backlight, which I loved. When I had to replace it eventually, they had taken away the backlight and given a dual time -- which I have no idea why. I have to replace my watch every couple years, but I won't wear anything else. I love it. I buy them at my local Walmart.
Just got one so cool and retro relive the 80s but me being a 2000s kid seems out of touch but otherwise cool design and nice to see a peek or a keyhole view to another decade that seems worlds away really being only decades apart .
I meant to say that the watch featured in this video is the Casio CA-53W and not just the Casio CA-53 - so I totally forgot to mention the 'W" which I am sorry about. Do you have this watch? If you do does it remind you of those heady shoulder padded, yuppie filled neon days that was the 1980s?

One of the most iconic piece of horology, forever in fashion and fascinant.
Very easy to wear and very fun.
This is a Museum design.
Nice video!
This watch is cool for any age. Such a nostalgic timepiece.
I totally agree plus it is also probably one of the most comfortable watches I have ever worn.

I use this watch everyday at work when programming machines, calculations made easy .
Regarding the water resistance, I've gone swimming with this watch on multiple occasions, and it still works great!
This way of presenting the date makes sense. It is presented similarly to time, following a decreasing hierarchy of values: yy-mm-dd vs hh-mm-ss.

Great review. I had this watch in late 80's it was my dream watch.
I was confused by the date function too.

I've had this watch for decades. To this day people ask me about the calculator.
