Those are foolish people that claim reasons for kerala flood. Cow is an animal not a God. It can not save itself from the disaster. When we destroy nature the nature will take its course to restore it. When we go to wild jungle we see parts of palace, it means 1000s of years back it was a city and people lived there. Now it is a huge jungle. So please stop judging on others. In 2013 a flash flood destroyed kedarnath in Uttarakhand and killed more than 1000 peoples. So what was their sin? Now the floods will happen in many states of india. It is a warning for humans that destroying nature. Love earth, love others, love every creation of God. Repent from your sins. God will help.

If path , catchment area , flood plains of a river are encroached thn devastation follows as river takes back its territory when it reaches its full height and capacity....be it karela or Uttrakhand or anywhere else....we must respect nature....but alas in name of development we are creating disasters for ourselves

That was the only solution.. Idukki dam was open fully in 48 hours .. should have opened 1 week before.
