How to Fix a Snapped or Broken Key

In this video, I show you how to repair a snapped key. The key is for a Volkswagen Golf, but this method can be applied to all types of keys, provided that the pattern that interacts with the lock pins is not excessively damaged.

Yes, it does. I would advise separating your key to keep the blade separate from the electronic side, if it is possible for your key.

I used a mini torch to solder , the electrical one is hot enough .
