I was not aware of this option, its going to save me a lot of time (and perhaps increase my sleeping time when I do assignments late :P ). Thanks a lot!!!
Thank You I only started using this today and it was so confusing and my lecturer would not help me and correct me where I was going wrong but you tutorial has helped me a lot.
Thanks a lot for this video. I am in my foundation year at university and been dreading editing all my assignments into Harvard referencing but this is a really good video and it seems i have been worried over nothing, the books in the library make a big deal about it. thanks again.
This is the best way as the problem is not the list that must appear at the end of a research doc but the citations inside my text and being sure they are all reported in the ref list at the end of the doc. This is the major problem that I didn't know that WORD is capable of doing it at ease to save the time of the user. I've always made this "tough work" only by hand, and it is really time-consuming, and prone to human errors, but I believed that the human errors can be fixed while machine errors cannot be fixed. I know that my behavior was due to my limited knowledge of WORD despite many years of using WORD. I've previously believed that it is a flaw in WORD which does not give attention to the real needs of research workers who type their articles using WORD.
THANK YOU. THANK YOU AGAIN AND AGAIN VERY USEFULL. Your explanation amazing. YOU MAKE MY LIFE SO MUCH EASY.BTW, SO EASY NOW TO DO IT. I WILL FOLLOW ALL YOUR TUTORIAL VIDEOS
Deirdre - thanks very helpful, mature student here from Dublin I'm on an internship and want to use ref from company induction manual - what does this come under in citations & bibliography
If I want to cite some information from a paper that has already been cited which paper do I cite? The one that contains the cited information or the original one from which this information came from?
Thanks for your video. Very easy to follow. I would be glad if you can also tell me how to edit my references i.e if i want to change or add to an already finished set of references, how do i do that?
Hi, I'm not able to delete citations from my main bibliography. I was able to press the minus button previously to get rid of citations, but know it doesn't allow me to. I tried going on to citation source manager, deleted that citation on the master list, but it was still available on the current list. Wasn't able to delete any citations from the current list. When I update my bibliopgraphy, even though i deleted the citation from the master list, it reloads and shows up ? help please
Hi I don't know of any easy way to do this in Word. As far as I know you can only have the references at the end of the document using bibliography. I think footnotes are a separate tool and you have to type them manually.
Thank you for the video! It is possible to do a bibliography without "Insert Citation"? Because I already have the articles in the style that I need but I don't don't know how to connect with the work. Thank you
Thank you very much for this detailed guide. Howerver, I still have a problem because in this video it is not mentioned what to do when I have a particulare sentence or text block which combines information from two different sources, e.g. two websites of two totally unrelated companies. How can I add them using harvard anglia in microsoft word? I am using microsoft word 2016 right now. Thank you in advance for your help!
The references that you use in one document are saved onto the pc you are working on. See this video to move them from one document to another th-cam.com/video/Fucdy0LPJ6Q/w-d-xo.html
The "Chicago 16th Edition Style" is the recommended style for the scientific articles. The MLA has the major problem of introducing the names of all authors in the citation (instead of inserting the abbreviation "et al" after the name of the first author) and introducing the "et al" in the Bibliography list which is horrible and not acceptable.
Sounds like you are using the free starter edition of Word. This free version does not have References. Unfortunately if you want references you have to have the paid version. Deirdre

how does jimmy woo download Harvard style to typewriter?
Hi
I think what you want to choose is the ISO 690 style instead of Harvard Anglia. I'm not very familiar with ISO 690 but it might work for you.
Thank you for the clear instruction.

Yes You can add sources without citations. Just click References | Manage Sources | Click the "New" button.

From both an academic point of view and a microsoft word point of view you should use two seperate citations.
thanks, the video was very helpful
This is a very good woman: she has done well
I got five types of Harvard referencing. which one is the right one that the lecturer ask us used?
You have to ask your lecturer. There are lots of different harvard types.
oh i see. what differences between those types?
Very small differences, but some colleges are very particular about those small details such as whether to use a comma or a semi colon.
I C thx so much
Thank You So Much!!!!

The references that you use in one document are saved onto the pc you are working on. See this video to move them from one document to another th-cam.com/video/Fucdy0LPJ6Q/w-d-xo.html

The choice of style greatly depends on which university you are in.
The books can make it quite daunting.
Glad you liked it.
Thank you so much =)
