Please dont let this guitar sit on the sidelines! Your playing is incredible and so inspiring regardless but the extra range gives such an added depth and feeling to your solo playing. Thanks for all the inspiration!
I dig the "Stratier" tone this has. I've been a strat player since I started playing guitar but have always wanted a 7 string... this nails the best of both worlds and would fit in with my black strat/maple neck stable haha
While I’m sure any guitar would sing in your hands, those AZs are really gorgeous both in look and tone. Already sounds great & I can’t wait to hear what music you draw out of that wonderful axe!
I'm not a fan of the Hyperion pickups myself. I'm a DiMarzio man, through and through. The humbucking pickup seemed a bit too spanky on the 7-string to me. Loving the clean tones on the lower strings for sure, though. Also, I didn't see any links listed for your playing on the JEM Jr and your Previous Ibanez 7-string.
That sounds absolutely killer! The playing has a lot to do with it, but great to hear a seven string that sounds this open and, I guess 'Fender-y'. I hadn't wanted a 7 until now.
Once again sir, I shall offer you a straight swap for my Fazley Classic, should you get bored of that guitar in your hands right there! Admittedly, it's a sweet deal for me, but I'll not see you without.lol Joking aside, very nice piece of kit, and great vid as always 👏 stay blessed 🙏
Stopped at the first notes for a second... Did all your Ibanez guitars came perfectly set up? When I got my AZ 1,5 years ago, I had to set it up completely by myself. Except for the neck relief, the nut and the frets of course. But the trem was totally leaning back, the string height was uneven and the intonation wasn't even touched. No problem for me, watching youtube luthier videos like a maniac since quite a while. But I wonder, if mine was an exception?! Now on to the video... ;)
It could be a Mr. Potato Head and I'd still enjoy listening to you .. I'm 50 and so my ear's accustomed to standard and 1/2 down as being a guitar's midrange sweet spot. Love how the single coils bring life to the lower tones and this guitar would be wonderful to have for special occasions but a daily driver I could make it not.
It’s super versatile. It’s basically a modern strat. I’ve got tons of different videos on here in different styles. Check out my ‘Ain’t No Sunshine’ video for the kind of ‘bluesy strat’ tones.
Really happy you have joined the AZ club with Tom Quayle, Martin Miller and Co. That 7 is sick!

6:49 Even Jack couldn't resist!

Jack, you're becoming a Djentleman now.
I'm wanting to get this particular guitar and I always go back to this video and watch it for reference. Great content mate! Cheers!
Did you get it?
Im buying this. This is the guitar PRS should have made.

Hi Jack have you dropped playing your strandberg guitars or are you just expanding the choice?
That bass..😍

my all time favorite guitar
They have one used at a Guitar Center close to me. I might go get it tomorrow!

What was that song in the beginning of the video? It made love to my ears.

Hey Jack! Could you do a video about getting out of the box (of playing the same things when improvising), how to be more creative etc.? Thanks!
Rhythm and voice leading
I do like the sound of that .. which given I'm an LP+Marshall guy is interesting .. very cool guitar ..
YES!!!!!

Excellent
Can't wait for a Jack Gardiner signature AZ!
6:48 "I can't play that kind of stuff" he says after playing a sick percussive metal riff.
Guitar seems great but I just wish they would make it just a liiiiil longer with the scale length, and maybe some day a 8 string 😮
Is the clean neck pick up comparable to a strat sound?
Ah! Now we can talk about practicing on my 7 string then! :P .. that switch though... I still like the S-1 switch more.
Wanted to buy the MM1, now I'm asking myself, If I need a 7 string
Are the locking tuners the same as the ones on the az 6 string?
See you’ve only one guitar in the rack behind at the min.. do you keep many guitars in your collection or do you get rid as you acquire?!
This guitar is good for playing pink floyd and jimi hendrix or just for jazz fusion please

Very nice 👌
Jack, how do you have so much bass in your voice? 😂
More bass than that low B
😊👍
Hey Owane!
I figured out your secret and yes I will be telling everyone
🤤
Uh oh. Looks like I’m gonna be ordering a new guitar.
🤤🤤🤤
