The 'cigarette cards' from Brooke Bond are actually cards that were given away in packets of loose tea in the UK in the 50;s. They were meant to be educational and you could also obtain an album to put them in. My parents drank a lot of tea so I was an avid collector then.

I'd love a part three! Tho it may be a conglomeration of items from different eras is very fascinating. Many items you rarely see anymore. The 3 stemmed glass candle holder is just like the pair my mother had when I was growing up. Brought back lots of memories. She used them back in the early 1950's.

Yes Please more storage unit!!! Also I am so glad that you are doing a salvage area. So many times I have asked at the thrift stores if they have things that are broken that I can use for crafts or recycle or upcycle and I am told it all goes in the trash because noone wants it. I say "I want it" and they teill me I am the only one. So upsetting. That yellow glass lid that was broken - I would take that break ii into a few more pieces and put it in my rock tumbler. That big beautiful blanket I would make int a jacket. I am always looking for Linen table clothes with holes to stains so I dont feel guilty cutting it up for hand embroidery or to make clothing. Hand embroidery or hankies any table cloth can be used in quilts. Dining chairs with broken legs to take apart and turn into all sorts of things. As you say broken china to make jewelery and mosaics. Would be cool if you had a digital photo album in that area and show before and after crafts from pinterest. Charge a small amount and keep it out of the landfil. I just love your ideas for the thrift store - here's hoping that more follow your concept. hugs to all.

Yes please to part 3. I am enjoying hearing Kari comment as you unpack. The best of you both. Would also like to see the aftermath, what was donated and then the cost vs value of what you kept, but may be too hard with so much. At least you have paper to wrap stuff up to move it to the store.

My 97 year old dad still has his dress blue wool navy uniform from WWII and can still fit into it! I wore the 13(?) button bell bottoms in the 60’s. The top part of the uniform is called the “jumper”. Great find!
My Gramps had his, too! My brother, who was also in the Navy, has it now.

That furry jacket with the winter scene on it was lovely! I’d love to find a plus size one like it.
I also loved it - the trees made it special! Not sure what size it was, but I'd likely find it too hot to actually wear. 😂 Last winter 🇨🇦 I wore a thin Fall jacket since I was mainly going from inside to car - just layered with sweaters as needed. Can't skimp on the boots though: insulation and grip - I generally have cold feet and icy sidewalks and parking lots are no joke.

Check that piece of crystal. It looks like a piece of Waterford. Have one that is similar, it's a footed dish. The etching can be hard to see sometimes.

Yes, I am addicted to watching hoarder discoveries so yes, it amazes me what people perceive as valuable and save, sell and/or keep so by all means do part three.
The “wintertime spaghetti strap dilemma?” What’s the dilemma? You wear a pretty coat or sweater or scarf 🧣 over it and then when you get inside with tons of people, you’re gonna wanna remove the coat for sure, but you can also remove the sweater or even the scarf if necessary. And there are some fabulous lacy and sparkly scarves (that you can also pin a super cute holiday pin too) that you can wear with fancy dresses that will look so great!
I just pictured Danni in one of those gowns feeding all her animals!! Lmao 🤣

Danny if you paint the center of the tray with black chalk paint and decorate it with a little bit of silks you can hang it on your front door and write welcome hello anything and just have matching flowers. Hope that helps with the tray.

U could get use of small frames to show off some of the beautiful details on Vintage embroidered hankies. Looks very pretty in a group of different sized frames.
I wouldn't imagine there is much value in the long sparkly gowns for reselling but would be a wonderful donation to a highschool (or they can tell u who to contact) to ensure even low income Girls have a beautiful dress for Prom or Homecoming. U could also give school counselor some gift certificates to your store for a free dress. They would know which families need help. If u cant make much money off of selling u can definitely use it as a tax credit. When the word gets out the donations will come pouring in of Prom apparel. Just my thoughts 🙂

I’m a classic movie buff and I remember seeing beautiful cigarette boxes in 40s & 50s movies. If they were having conversation, they were also smoking 🚬 or having a cocktail 🍸 back in the “Old Hollywood” flicks.
