Thank you again for featuring/using Saucy Bottom BBQ sauce in your recipes. I appreciate your help getting my name out there and showing your audience in my opinion an extremely good bbq sauce.
This is how to TH-cam. Russ is not only a great cook, he's an all-around decent man who loves good food, family, and friends, and supports small businesses. Greetings from Africa.
OMG yes Rus! First, JD in food just rocks! This very lazy cook loves this recipe! Every flavor you have in there.....summer is coming! Well, winter in Palm Springs is still summer, LOL! This looks sooooooo good! Have a great weekend my friend!! 🍸
This is a fantastic recipe for some BBQ Beans Rus! I love smoking up some beans as a side, and it's one of the requests I get when we have a family gathering. I usually will do mine with the ingredients and not a BBQ sauce, but I have done that too. I've even just tossed in some green chiles into ranch style beans and smoked them and they too were delicious! I'm going to try the strips of bacon on top next time I make them!😋👍
This is fantastic Russ, my brood loves heat so I use a can of hot Rotel in mine, those green chilies definitely makes a difference.. I did an almost exact recipe a few years ago with Wild Turkey, definitely a distinct flavor....
That video got, me into your channel and i've been hooked ever since. Thanks for teaching us so much about barbecue and stuff, you really know your business. Keep it coming, mate!
one of the best things about dude is that he never takes credit for himself when he achieves something . he always respect us, the audience, and his team, and he is always polite in all of his video. we congratulate ourselves on this achievement more to come and everything to come""❤💛🧡💙 Let's we all just appreciate the content this man and his crew makes it's just a masterpiece imagine what's he's gonna doing the future ❤ I hope this channel never ends and keeps spreading happiness.❤😊
russ is, what i like to consider "a true american". how actual americans are and behave. peaceful, friendly, very hospitable, honest (in the most common way we can define it), loving their BBQ ;) ...unlike the portrayal we europeans get about guntotin murica and its citizens.
Thank you for the recipe and I am going to try this with the new BBQ Whiskey that just hit the market. It is called Kurvball BBQ Whiskey. I like it a lot in bloody Mary's and my BBQ sauce. Thank you for all the great videos and keep it up!
I've done a similar recipe using a split between Russell's Reserve, Single barrel, and Gentleman's Jack. I call it the Jack Russell.... Freaken amazing!
Good stuff! I follow a similar recipe to this and Malcom's. He called for apple pie filling. Found substituting the chicken broth for apple juice...game changer! Give it a whirl is you want! I use Apple/Jack on pork, compliments the beans too.
Oh yes!!! I do you’re recipe on the original way! Just I use can baked beans. No time to do dry beans, most of the time when I do them!! I definitely will throw down on this way too!!! Cheers Jones clan!!
man I love me some good bbq beans brotha rus. can't wait to see vids on the new oven. great job, great content and great teacher. keep em comming brotha rus
Looks good, Russ. I like my Baked Bean Sauce a little thicker. I'm guessing an additional hour of cook time would do the trick. Or possible draining the juice from the canned beans at the start....
Thanks! Yeah, you can easily control the thickness by the cook time as I mentioned early in the video, or once you perfect the recipe to your liking, you will know how much broth to use for a shorter cook time.
Great beans Russ. I'm going to have to give this a shot. Speaking of "shots" I use Jack Daniel's in much of my cooking. The alcohol burns off and leaves a great molasses like flavor. Really happy for you on that wood fired pizza oven. I'm looking forward to seeing great things from that. Oh the amazing breads and pizzas. Maybe some baked lasagna? Hmmm. Last thing, ever since seeing Ricer put a venting system on his cookers I've been thinking doing something similar. Now seeing you do this also is even more encouraging. I'm thinking about placing mine in my barn. Never worry about a snow storm taking out my bbq area again. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Great video, have a great day 🌤 😀 👍.
Thanks Victor! Yeah I love cooking with JD, and certain beer. I'm super excited to get started with the pizza oven! I've already got a list going on things I'm doing, and add to it everyday. I think I'll add lasagna to it for sure, thanks for the idea!. You could certainly do that in your barn. I would get stove pipe that is bigger in diameter than your exhaust pipe so there is no resistance, and if you are going through the roof or the wall, you will probably want to make sure it's sealed and doesn't create any water leaks, and also will want a rain cap on the pipe itself. We are just using the flexible aluminum round duct, but it's working great and not actually attached to the house and can be easily removed or replaced if need be.
@@SmokyRibsBBQ thanks Russ for the suggestions on the smoke vent. I've got a few ideas on it. Fyi I'm heading to the coast later today for some razer clams and maybe some surf fishing and maybe some Dungeness crabs. I'm taking my camera and doing some video stuff. Hopefully have it up next week. Catch and cook, with a little JD&Coke, maybe some beer 🍺 😁. Have a great day 🌤.
Make sure the crushed ice completely fills the glass before saturating with water. That should give you 32 degrees F after allowing time to equalize the temps, but it has to be full of ice. You probably already know that, but just reiterating
Don’t let the video fool you. It always looks like more than it actually is on video. Look at the mustard. I did measure that and it looks like twice as much on video. Learned that years ago when people would comment that the measurements were off.
i noticed the change in the background tune to electronic....is that dereks influence or did you find a new taste in sound for ya? i love it russ. great stuff as always!
It's all me on these video edits. I've been playing around with different things and music is one of them. Thanks for your long time support! Your awesome!

Thanks for your support Mike! Heck yeah, who don't like baked beans as a side?
these are the best beans in the world...The first time I did them there was almost a riot when they ran out ;)
wow, thats a lot of mustard and looks amazing! they hubby loves baked beans, so i may have to try this on him.
Yeah, it looks like more than it actually was. It was only 1/2 cup or 4 oz, but it really adds to the beans.
I've never had beans like that. they look slammin! I like beans! I'll have to try this!
I'm pretty sure you will like them Louis. Hope you give 'em a go. Thanks for checking out the video!

I recently bought some of that same whiskey. It definitely has a pronounced smoke flavor. Should be great in making BBQ sauces as well
