I love the story telling rap man❤ I’m so thankful my dad showed me this song when I was young because i come back to this song and remember when I first heard this piece of work
This song and Whodini's Im a Ho were the ultimate bass. A friend of mine had a dropped Toyota with the bass so deep your eyes would shake evertime he cranked it up. Those were the days late 80s - early 90s...nothing better. I'm now 56 y/o and this music is still my go to...and always will be.
I had no idea how mix rolled out in Seattle back in 88. I had just moved from Washington D.C. area to the Midwest. I saw this video it changed the way I saw hip hop all together..
This is LL's best song. In 1990 when this came out, mad people were bumping this in their cars. Rap was great back then. Now it's so bad. Too bad the next generation didn't keep it alive and well. They turned it into some corny ass music. I wait for someone to come out and bring that fire back to Hip-hop. Please, someone step up and make us love Hip-hop again.!!!!
I remember when this song first came out i was living in Chicago at 20 yrs old they wore this song out on wcrx the number 1 rap station in Chicago at the time. I love watching these videos so much lol. And being a car enthusiast, I have even more reason to look at these videos and love them😂 I’m a massive 80’s and 90’s Mercedes fan

Omar Lee Gotta love the old school Miami Bass and the Roland 808s
This was easily 10 years ahead of it's time. Sir you're one of my all time faves!
I am born and raised in L.A. I grew up hearing this on KDAY 1580 AM, Power 106 FM and 923 The Beat. All rap stations played this regularly in Los Angeles BEFORE and AFTER "Baby Got Back"... this is a West Coast rap classic.
K DAY hell yeah! I grew up in The Valley 818.
Guwop sample made me double back , the flow was on million here
Gucci brought me here and this song also took me to SPM- Broadway and the flow and sample is making sense now
Same bruh same! Gucci's flow and delivery make more sense to me lol
It brought me bakk too I always liked this flow
Same 🔥 🔥 🔥
On Geeezus Sandals 🤣🤣💯💯💪🏿
I love the story telling rap man❤ I’m so thankful my dad showed me this song when I was young because i come back to this song and remember when I first heard this piece of work
He was killin this song, how does it not have a whole lot more views?
Racer X Youngins don’t know about it, his flow was perfect for this beat
Rollin down the AVE to BROADWAY in the late 80s bumpin this song with 2-15 subs in the back LIFE WAS GREAT!!!!!
They should play this on the radio now! Pay homage!
Still bumpin' this dope joint in 2019- word up!!!
It's ok
Spurs
My kids live it. In 2019
Still bumpin. Hell yeah 2020
Word up? Damn now I gotta go peep out Cameo"s "Word Up" LOL
Thanks for that hint ;;))
This takes me back to High School nostalgia, it's always been legendary 😁🤗
This song and Whodini's Im a Ho were the ultimate bass. A friend of mine had a dropped Toyota with the bass so deep your eyes would shake evertime he cranked it up. Those were the days late 80s - early 90s...nothing better. I'm now 56 y/o and this music is still my go to...and always will be.
Catch it.if that ole skool didn't pave the way I wouldn't be here today
2020 now. This songs bring me back 30 years. Damn
This rap is better than any rap in the last 10 years if you over 40
This is better than any rap in the last 10 years regardless of your age. I'm 21, my dad played this a lot when I was growing up.
I'm 46 and still jam on Mix-a-lot
My words bro,,,i'm 41 and kick this newschool shit
I had no idea how mix rolled out in Seattle back in 88. I had just moved from Washington D.C. area to the Midwest. I saw this video it changed the way I saw hip hop all together..
I'm 38 and I still roll Mix in my '84 Thunderchicken lol
It's 2021 and this is still a timeless classic! All of Sir-Mix-A-Lot songs were simply awesome!
2023 too
2023
This is LL's best song. In 1990 when this came out, mad people were bumping this in their cars. Rap was great back then. Now it's so bad. Too bad the next generation didn't keep it alive and well. They turned it into some corny ass music. I wait for someone to come out and bring that fire back to Hip-hop. Please, someone step up and make us love Hip-hop again.!!!!
A forever classic, especially that last verse!
Beat is still killing in 22! This was when they would tell stories in the music. Some of the best music ever.
I remember when this song first came out i was living in Chicago at 20 yrs old they wore this song out on wcrx the number 1 rap station in Chicago at the time. I'm 53 now and I'm proud to say I still rock sir-mix-a-lot music. I have SWASS/SEMINAR/MACKDADDY/CHIEF BOOT KNOCKER/RETURN OF THE BUMPER SAURUS on cassette & c.d. HIP-HOP 4ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My hearing is trashed because of this song. Thank you Sir
Still one of the top 20 greatest rap songs of all time
My posse is on THEIR way...boys come home!!! The LIGHT HOUSE RULES...mama loves you!!
What? Lol
This song will never go away 🎉 🔥
I love watching these videos so much lol. And being a car enthusiast, I have even more reason to look at these videos and love them😂 I’m a massive 80’s and 90’s Mercedes fan
This gets played at least once a week in our local bar. People always look at me funny when I sing along. Swass was my first rap tape.
THAT'S what's up
Mix kills it!
Love from Ptown
Portland Oregon❤️❤️❤️
PTown Represent!
This song played at every gangster party in 1988-1989.
The very first time I heard that song i thought my friend was playing a joke on me because he sounded just like them. It took him about 15 minutes to convince me otherwise....last i heard he was a paralegal love ya joey hope all is well!
I wouldn't know. I was still in my momma belly
And at the end of dirt roads where us country boys hang
Important
Funny, cause Mix-A-Lot was never a gangster rapper.
This was the music back in high school for me...LOVE THIS!!!
Man I love bumping this song on my system and still turn heads. Yeah old school is the best school.
This Song Brings Back So Much Memories This Is My Fav Song By Sir Mix Alot
*When we were kids. "Our parents just* *don't understand this music"*

My dad listens to this type of music and a lot of classic rock and I absolutely love it
as someone born in the 2000's, im jealous of all you 80's and 90's people. You guys had it so good back then, especially music.
