THE DOOR IN THE BATHROOM IS TO USE THE SHOWER OUTSIDE. Also, Japan is a damp country so they use the bathroom for drying clothes and leave that door open to prevent mold. I happen to live in Japan.
Good tips thanks!
It's inordinately capacious DK
I just got a 93 Delica same as yours just a year newer! I have driven it all over the country and love it! You’re not wrong about being slow!
Like this Build Keep it coming.. can't wait to See the Riding that Will come from this..
Thanks player!!
Yep, older than me at least :)
That stove threw me back by 14 years at speed of light. Our first camper had that exact item and I slept in front of it for a long time.
This is so rad!
Beware: when the fridge is not running do NOT close the door like you did! It should have some sort of locking contraption to lock the door while driving, but it should also be possible to lock it so it just is opened a little bit. So the air can move, and you wont get a fungy fridge :D Happy camping!
That storage compartment at the "standing desk" was probably a spot to put a tv.
Your right! I think I’ll us a iPad tho.
Awesome design + no one else has one!!
Thanks for the tour, it's an awesome van! Your approach to the renovation is key, otherwise it could be so overwhelming. Please keeping taking videos of your van restoration journey- I think there are a lot of us out here that are interested in the process.
P.S. I am totally taking that translation app with me next time I go to the Japanese market!
Awh mennn! This is one stunner of a camper van! I am genuinely happy for you that you got this and hope to see more of it
Dude, looks rad! You’re project approach is always pretty inspiring! Look forward to seeing it putting around town!
Yeah buddy. I can’t wait to bring to some events.
That's a slick little rig.
That is a nifty van. Really well laid out. Will be awesome when you've finished it.
Workin on it daily.
A fine adventure rig👌🏽
Step by pedal by step...
This thing is so rad, I kinda want one. I'm a '92 babe so I appreciate that it's as old as moi. Good luck with the repairs!
It is adorable. I would have loved it when I was 12 years tall.
NOOICE> Can't wait to see the adventures you get on in this thing!
This is rad. I'm gonna try to see if I can find one of these.
This is going to be epic. I can feel it already.
YES YOU"RE KILLING IT
this is the technical side. representational art is the other side.
you're growing, yo!
I have one of this too, they are amazing vehicles
great set up !
I had a old class c Toyota rv and one of the best things I did was replace the old power converter to a modern one. The old ones recharge your battery super slow and provide dirty power so your tv doesn't get a very good picture. I also had 2 batteries instead of just one and I put a inverter in so I could plug anything in. Invertors basically use double the power from the battery so that's why you want at least 2 batteries and why you want the modern converter so they will recharge quickly. Sweet looking ride should be a lot o fun.
Hell yes Mike! Thank you for these tips. I will most definitely look into these.
Cheers!
That thing's got way more going on inside than I was expecting. Pretty rad setup-can't wait to see it in full use mode. You probably can't wait either.
Good luck with the camper bro! Enjoying your videos as always!
That camper is super dope!!!
Thats dope AF man nice find. Cant wait to see the progress.
🙌🤘🙌🤘
I love it and the best of luck! My wife and I rented a Sprinter for a month tour of Europe last year and those vans/RV’s are a beast in the same vein. We went all-in with a trailer a while back and shit’s the same all over.
Did you like the van experience in Europe? You enjoying the trailer?
Dustin Klein it was a great experience. Campgrounds in Europe are very different than the US; I.e way better. Trailer life feels very Earl Scapoose-like here but the benefit of being mobile without the turtle shell is pretty alright.
I wish you luck because patience and skills you already have
Van is sick! I love it.
🙌👊🤙
Nice Rig!
Interesting camper all the habitation bits are European not Japanese. So the acrylic seitz windows are German, the truma gas fire is German the fridge is a Thetford European. And the blind setups come as part of the Seitz window package and are again German and used b y all European manufacturers. I'm always surprised that Acrylic Windows haven't spread to the United States. so much better for sound insulation heat insulation and you can open them outwards when it's raining for ventilation. All the fixtures and fittings look like standard European motorhome fittings too . A very cool little camper though and amazing that it's 4 X 4 I'd say it's a real find and looking forward to seeing what you do with it
Very cool insight!
Thanks for the info I appreciate your knowledge.
Those windows are awesome. Check out TH-cam videos of Earth Roamer trucks (super pricey amazing vehicles) You'll see that they use that type of window, and same type of cassette toilet as well. @@EverythingsBeenDone
Inspiring...
I wish i could live like this
Thumbs up
Cool van man!
Awesomeness!
Absolutely love the camper van videos. Can we please see more?
There are several on the channel dig through I hope you enjoy them
This video makes my soul happy
So rad
Best of Luck!
Thanks player
Gonna be rad
Some paint here and there as well as some reupholstering and that rig is set
Nice find 👌
🙌🙌🙌
good luck. that's a great project.
Thanks player!
Exciting to watch the remodeling. Had to tear mine down to the fiberglass body and replace half the wood framing cause of mold etc. It was scary turning every rock over until there were none left. Insulation and moisture control are the most perplexing aspects and half the van build content is a little false out there. But, like you I'm an oblivious optimist which means we'll get there in time! Good luck brotha
Player! Love that your going down this path also.
Are you documenting any of it on TH-cam? Or IG? Would love to see what your working with.
@@EverythingsBeenDone I should get an ig. Not documenting on TH-cam though I want to. I'll try to get my first yt post out there in the next week or so. It'll be rough tho haha. Mines a 24' mobile concepts class b+ on a Ford e350 7.3L. just gutted everything and out in Line-x bed liner for the floor. Got Chrome buckles and seatbelt webbing for a guest bed that'll roll out and clip into the ceiling. Vans are fun projects for the patient creatives
pretty dope.
Way Groovy Rv....cheers....peace bro...LUCK
That's one sweet ride, man! Nice job on the caulking. Mine would have looked like a welding bead. A bad welding bead.
Looks sick
😎
Looking forward to where your going to put the bikes.
The back has 2 racks plus I was thinking about a front rack
FYI - bathroom door to outside is likely to shower outdoors.
Or to get the moisture out without letting it out into the rest of the vehicle.
or to take a pee without contaminating your feet
Your totally correct on the outdoor shower. I realized this when I was editing the video.
Double bonus: outdoor bike wash
You sure it was never a food truck order/ pickup window?🍲👨🍳
Woah that thing is way more spacious than I thought it would be
dope!
Àfter a shit gnar ride that thing will be the best place on the plant ....Love it dude
😂😂😂 best comment ever!
I freakin love it
Cool little jalopy.👍🏻
HA!
I want one
Dustin, you've got to go full JDM and do a dekochari bike build! Light up the Portland night!
Sooo cute
It's so weird to see that there's a bunch of stuff written in japanese inside the van.It is like a time traveling japanese vehicle!Good luck!
For some reason I really enjoy your videos without music, maybe it’s the fact that there’s less going on or maybe it’s the whole ASMR aspect of hearing whatever your fiddling with but yeah idk
Baebae is better equipped than my parents house in the 80's
LMAO!
oh shit, this reminds me of about 5 years ago when i lived on a canal boat in the SW of England #goodtimes
This is gonna be one sick camper. Can't wait to see what adventures you'll come up with in it :-) Since you're making videos by request. I have a couple :-D I would really like to see a video of your quiver of bikes and and workshop/studio tour :-)
Those are both a great suggestion. I can put them in the que! Thanks.
👌 love it, there's beauty in its ugliness
Haha this is Awesome! I didn't know u were into jdm? I've never seen or even thought of a jdm camper but it's awesome. I can't wait to see the finished product. I'd love to see a series on the camper renovation? Questions: What's the camper for besides camping lol? And where did u find this gem? Awesome stuff man!!🤙🤙
The external door in the bathroom might be for filling and draining water tanks? outside shower? or maybe to pump out the head (boat speak for bathroom ).
Outside shower!
I'd probably replace any hoses that carry water. Fresh lookin wagon tho
Dude, that's an awesome "small home!" Can that be an escape hatch in the bathroom in case of an emergency? can you expand the ceiling in the bed area, maybe with a clear view even.
Anything is possible
Sweet ass camper! There's a lot of possibilities there.
The door in the bathroom might be an escape hatch. The storage area next to the standing deask thing is where the TV goes.
Any ideas where you can store your bikes?
That things awesome. eventually, will you paint or design the outside???
This is epic, compact but has everything you need, and what a cute little face... 👌
Good luck Dustin-san. So is this gas or diesel and what kind of mileage can you expect?
You Rock D Klein. Where do we get more details on you Australian adventure??
Prepping for that now!
@@EverythingsBeenDone mate, is this right hand drive camper coming with you? You'll need a MISHITBUS sticker across the back.
I want one ! Invite me for a bike ride/roadtrip thing please
Gotta get this thing on its feet first 😉
So cool! But where will you put your bikes?
There is a bike rack on the back
Love your voice audio, please eloborate. Sounds super voice overy
Knowing what you know now, would you buy it again or opt for something faster?
I know you know about this life Tony. I think Im still in, at least for another year.
How much did you pay for this? I’m thinking of getting this or a travel trailer from japan not a 5th wheel but the regular kind. Know any good places to look?
Camper van update?
bike rack?
Overall it looks good, how’s the drivetrain?
It’s in solid shape which is great!
I wonder how will you get this car into "commotion", eh :P
You mentioned that you had an inch of head room. How tall are you. I am tall and interested in buying one
Good question. I am 6 feet tall.
That translate app blew my mind... no, I don't live under a rock but just about...
Me too!
is the fridge propane or electric?
BOTH
So i have seen a handfull of videos from you. So spindatt is also your channel? Why do you have two? I didnt know you where into jdm cars.
spindatt is a different person
You need a JDM sticker
Why have you got 3 👎(atm)
What’s not to like👍
Oh wow, you bought the Millennium Falcon........
LOL!!!
Wondering the inside height of these. How tall are you bruh?
roughly 6' 1" inside
@@EverythingsBeenDone annnnnd I'm almost 6'3. Maybe it wouldn't be that bad
that bathroom little door is for use shower out van dude
Badass and interesting. I’ll stick to Toyota pickups with toppers, and ‘70’s camper toppers on my ‘77 Ford F-150. However, Mitsubishi makes some quality products.
That jalopy can hold 20 Japanese girls...40 if you paint it up with bubble gum colors and splash J-pop idol graphics all over it.
.. hmmm, I’ll give you $50 for it!
69th like.
Party.
rat poison!haha
hahahaha
So your telling me you can shit brush your teeth and shower at the same time.
Omg its a money pit!
Thats the spirit!
