is it weird I watch so many different accented channels that they all dont exist to me, I had to thing for a second about how it feels like he doesnt even have an accent
Mike, I have several real lever action rifles including a real steel Winchester ‘94 like this one. The loading does indeed proceed as you demonstrated in your second example, leaving the round partially inserted until the last one is inserted. Also, one tip for faster rapid firing: Don’t wrap your lever thumb around the stock after charging the weapon, but keep it free, and use a flicking motion with your wrist. Depending on how stiff the action is this may be more difficult, like on a springer. On this CO2 powered weapon it should be pretty easy. Number of fingers in the lever is pure personal preference.
The RWA one is out already, but I prefer the coming soon G&G one as it is "shell eject". It is using a Garand style "magazine" which looks like a Lee-Enfield stripper clip.
@@bongboi2831 Because the real steel Lee Enfields used stripper clips. The magazines were only removable to aid cleaning, they were never intended to be changed to reload.
The best shell eject airsoft gun ever. The action, the shells and the build quality are perfect, pretty much what you would expect from Umarex. Glad that I pre-ordered it from my local airsoft store 3 months before release, the gun sold out immediately on the first day. I might bring this gun along with my SAA, Nagant M1895, C96 and Double Barrel to the field.
Im not much into airsoft but I do shoot real guns a ton. I have fired lever actions my entire life and I find this video super cool that airsoft has gone this far to make a Lever action.
A little trivia! The “port” is called a King’s gate or loading gate. Invented by Nelson King it was a vast improvement over the Henry rifle. In which the tube magazine top was rotated and shells were dropped in butt first through the top. The user had to place the butt of the rifle on the ground, and the follower groove allowed dirt to get into the magazine causing jams.
Tempted to get one of these. I bought the Umarex 7.5” colt peacemaker and it is an absolute masterpiece. Looks like it takes identical shells as well 👌🏻
Excellent questions in this video regarding the real Winchester 1894. I've owned one for 6 years now but been shooting them since I was 14. A few things about the 1894. Loading the rifle is free choice. While hobby shooting or hunting you can load it either way. In competition shooting, the 1894 is rarely used as pistol calibers are preferred, competitors will often only partially insert a cartridge as it helps speed up reloading when you aren't fighting the loading gate every round. As for the lever itself, I personally prefer throwing it with all three fingers in the loop. The 1894 has a very distinct action unlike any other Winchester which has a very heavy click as the next round is loaded. Inexperienced shooters will often fail to load the rifle by short stroking the lever and not properly engaging the action. I find using all three fingers helps mitigate this as it allows you to really put some force into that throw with your wrist while more evenly spreading the impact across your fingers. I would also suggest wrapping the lever with leather. It adds to the authentic look of your rifle through customization and helps pad the blow to your knuckles even further than just gloves. Finally, you can tell this airsoft rifle was based off of a quite recent model of the 1894 as it has the ejection port cut lower on the loading gate side. This feature was implemented on rifles in the 1990s if I remember correctly due to the fact Winchesters have always ejected straight up into the air, making them incredibly difficult if not impossible to mount a scope on without risking damage or jamming the rifle. The cut on the reciever as seen on this rifle allows the cartridges to fly out to the right and away from the shooter, allowing for optics to be mounted much easier and with greatly reduced risk.
Personally Owning the real model 94 I think most of this is preference. I use all three fingers on the loop and use the first round to help load the second. The loop seems to be up to she shooter however the loading I found far easier with less round hang-ups then individual loading. While not practical I think it is cool someone has brought a shell ejection version of this rifle into airsoft. I also appreciate that they opted for a saddle ring version of the rifle as well. Great video.
I bought my Winchester model 94 in 1972, when I was 16 years old. I had a part time job mopping the ORs in the local hospital in my small NH town. I remember it like it was last week. I paid $78.99 for it brand new. Had the most gorgeous wood I ever saw on a non custom rifle. Very popular deer hunting rifle up here in NH. Marlins, Winchester, and Savages. Lever action carbines were a great choice for the hunting terrain here. There were also a lot of military surplus .30-40 Krag, Enfields in .303. , 03 Springfields in .30-06. Most of the lever guns were 30-30 except the Savage.
Ahhhh Mike Been waiting ages for your next video Can’t wait for them Watched an old one yesterday , and you have come on leaps & bounds!! Keep up the good work 👍
As an owner of multiple lever action rifles, I will say that I use 3 fingers so I don't crush me pinkie by accident, and I insert one round part way and use the second round to shove it in
I just got the .177 BB/pellet version, replaced the plastic stock with the A Plus SEN wood stock kit from Airsoft Taiwan. Great upgrade, and a much improved look.

I didn’t even know a 6mm version of this rifle existed until now. Someone over on r/airsoft actually converted a 4.5mm steel BB version to airsoft because he didn’t know, either. He even 3D-printed shells for it, which is good to see. I hope to get my hands on one of these someday! Should be easily possible to import one into Canada, seeing as it shoots well over 366 FPS. I might follow the route of 3D-printing shells myself as well, since it’d probably make it far more usable. This was a great video to see on my birthday!
I grew up with a winchester 30-30 lever action rifle. Inserting the shell most of the way in and using the next shell to push it on home was how I was taught. As far as the lever cocking goes, I always put 3 fingers in the lever, however I have seen folks wrap their hand over the lever and cock it that way.
The secret of this rifle is that it fires better with .177 pellets than with BB pellets. I would love to buy this and a bunch of cartridges and on a Saturday afternoon have friends and family around and we could have a shootout contest at targets in the back yard. What a splendid way to teach children the basics of marksmanship and about rifle safety at a time when such subjects are verboten by society.

I own one of these gorgeous rifles and use .177 pellets. Much more accurate if just plinking or target shooting. Give it a try Mike, you won't be disappointed.
A lot of Cowboy Action Shooters use 2 fingers, but that’s partly because we replace the springs and lever with competition parts that are slicked up and it takes very little effort articulate the lever. A good CAS member will shoot 10 times on target in about 4 seconds.
That style of loading is actually down to the gun. Some like some newer Marlins have either strong springs or burrs in that area that can harm the user so it can vary depending on not only models but individual guns of the same model and the cocking style is for comfort is what I found

Shell ejecting guns can easily used in games, they’re powerful and serve you well so long as you collect the shells. What I’d recommend is a shell bag, or something? It changes depending on the size of the hand when it comes to the size of the leaver and the loading thing is because it’s easier to load quickly if you leave a bit of shell sticking out
Get a real one, you will love it, I love the one I bought last year, and it shoot 357 magnum, very lovely gun, and now I am going to get this co2 gun because of your video.
