WMATA Metrorail: Orange Line (OR) Eastbound (Vienna to New Carrollton ) Full Ride, Front View

- I Took the DC metro (WMATA) Orange Line Eastbound. This is a Full Ride on the Kawasaki 7000 Series Train. I videoed this ride with my iphone 12 pro handheld up against the widow. So this is my 1st time videoing the metro so a lot of shaky footage and had some problems when we got down into the tunnels. I hope too improve on that. The ride was just over 1 hour. Hello from Germany, when I visited Washington DC in summer 2009 I used the parking lot at West Falls Church and the Orange line to Smithsonian .... thanks for uploading vacation memories!

I have ridden the orange line of the DC Metro many times, usually when my family travelled to DC to see the Smithsonian museums so I haven't usually gone further than the station named after the Smithsonian. Thanks for sharing this footage.

@@hoodboyzAtl Not true. Maryland is its own state. DC is not only not a state, but it's not in Maryland. It's close to Maryland and surrounding Virginia (Hence why our metro area is called the DMV = DC, MD, VA) but it's not Maryland.

I know you were trying to take most of the front cab out of the shot but I think it looks better zoomed out like when the train arrived at Rosslyn at 25:28. I still appreciate the video, it's not often that we get a front view of the train.
I might try that next time. Not really sure what everybody's view preference is. So do you think its better to do the whole trip with it zoomed all the way out where you can see all the cab like at 25:28. Thank you for watching.
Vienna/Fairfax-GMU, Dunn Loring Merrifield, West Falls Church-VT/UVA, and East Falls Church station platforms on the WMATA Orange Line have all been rebuilt.
New station name plaques on the Vienna/Fairfax-GMU, Dunn Loring-Merrifield, and West Falls Church stations on the WMATA Orange Line train.

The WMATA Orange opened up which was in November of 1978 which was a long time ago. That was twenty years before I was born.
Nice video. I'm glad to see a front view. Not many videos of front views. Can you do a westbound trip from the front view from New Carrolton to Vienna if you get the chance? I think zoomed out is a little better, but great video.

I'll never ride the DC metrorail again. The service sucks, security is insufficient, attendants are rude and the trains are disgusting. Crackheads even do and deal illegal drugs in the trains and on the platforms.
