Greeting from finland! You sound wonderful on your engelbert! I have resently made the change to shmidt double and i was wondering what mouth piece do you use to produce such a lovely sound on your horn? I'm also wondering what do you think is the most important thing when producing romantic sound on shmidt? Love your work!
Hello, thank you very much your nice words. The sound comes mostly from your sound ideal, a little bit type of the horn and the mouthpiece. I play on Tilz 211-B5 mouthpiece. I recommend you for a E.Schmid horn Schmid or Tilz mouthpiece. Schmid original 11 or Schmid digital 2.0 are very popular mouthpieces.
the sound of his wonderful horn I remember that of the horn player Barry Tuckwell, unfortunately recently passed away. His technique is extraordinary, as the sound of his instrument is elegant, clean, sweet and shrill. I would be curious to know what kind of horn you play. It is a great pleasure to listen to you.
Bravo!!!
